An Amazon Charts bestseller.A plus-size Texas gal has designs on an old crush in New York Times bestselling author Carolyn Brown’s exuberant, bighearted romance. In the small town of Celeste, Texas, Mitzi Taylor has never quite fit inside the lines. Taking the plunge alongside her two best friends, she’s proud they’ve turned The Perfect Dress into a perfect success.
Just when Mitzi has it all pulled together, Graham Harrison walks back into her life, looking for bridesmaid dresses for his twin daughters. A still-strapping jock whose every gorgeous, towering inch smells like aftershave, the star of all Mitzi’s high school dreams is causing quite a flush.
For Mitzi, all it takes is a touch to feel sparks flitting around her like fireflies. She can just imagine what a kiss could do. Graham’s feeling it, too. And he’s about to make that imagination of Mitzi’s run wild. Is it just a hot summer fling, or are Mitzi’s next designs for herself and seeing her own dreams come true?

Great read
I Loved that this was a romance for those of us who do not wear a zero ! I am hoping Carolyn writes more books with these Characters , I want to know more of their story !
A little too perfect, not enough drama
Great Book
It was a very engaging story that was different from the usual romance. I enjoyed it very much!
Great beach read.
First, It was in Kindle Unlimited with Audible included. Always a plus for me, too many other things going on.. Next, the two characters you’re rooting for, while having their insecurities, do not go through the trope of ‘boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl’. They’re adults, they talk, they work it out. When the guy’s conniving ex comes back to him, now that he’s rich, and makes a move, he talks it over with the person he really cares about. True the ex is a bit overdrawn. It might have been more of a challenge to write her as someone at least a little sympathetic but it’s not that kind of book. It’s fun, simple, easy to enjoy. Just suspend a tiny bit of disbelief here and there. Well, maybe a lot, but just enjoy it.
This is a very real, heartwarming, sweetly sexy romantic journey filled with witty banter, small town goodness and the best kind of friends….. was a very entertaining journey from beginning to end with sweet town and engaging charters. Loved this story and look forward to reading more.
Carolyn Brown makes it easy to love her characters. The Perfect Dress is an example of the reasons why. Mitzi is a characterization of every woman. Caught between accepting who we are and wishing for what we should be. What she fails to realize is that a beautiful heart is more attractive than the most flawed of body parts. Graham and Mitzi are the embodiment of love at it’s most precious. Perfect is a state of mind, not a look to uphold. Relatable characters, emotional stories and hidden words of wisdom, make author Carolyn Brown, the perfect fit for any bookshelf.
The Perfect Dress by Carolyn Brown will have you laughing, crying and wanting to find the shovel and a place to bury a few people in this book! But, most of all it will have you staying up past your bedtime to find out how it all turns out. Mitzi Taylor owns along with her two best friends Paula and Jody The Perfect Dress, a bridal shop for plus size women where they can get a custom made dress. Into Mitzi life walks Graham Harrison with his two teenage daughters. Mitzi had a huge crush on Graham in high school but he only had eyes for Rita, a petite, little thing! When you meet her you will want to smack her a good one! Carolyn Brown has done it again! Told a story with so much heart and emotion that you can’t help but keep turning the pages. When you turn the last page it will be a little like saying good bye to friends.
A•R•C ~ I was given The Perfect Dress by AUTHOR NAME as an Advanced Readers Copy (A•R•C) from NetGalley. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Nice read, took me a minute to get into the book. Three friends open a plus-size custom made bridal boutique primarily working from size 14 and up, creating their perfect dress. Mitzi, Paula and Jody’s lives will change during the year this book takes place, getting “The Perfect Dress” off the ground takes a lot of their time and their personal lives are on a roller coaster with highs and lows, but they all end up with their own HEA.
A wonderful story of three friends dealing with life growing up from plus size girls to women. It deals with bullying and relationships. It’s a fun romance with a lot of wonderful supporting characters in the story. I really enjoyed reading it.
