Another fantastic standalone by Abby Tyler. I love her writing and I’m falling in love with Applebottom. I really loved Ginny and Carter’s story. Roscoe is a big personality and causes some mayhem in Ginny’s life except by bringing Carter into her life. Carter, the high school football coach, is helping the new therapist in town with her great dane but starts to feel more for her. Hoping she likes him back, he asks Ginny out.
Told in both Ginny and Carter’s POV.

If you’re a fan of sweet clean romance, Abby is the author for you.
Loved this book just as much as the last Applebottom I have read! This book is about Carter McBride and Ginny Page and lets not forget Roscoe an out of control Great Dane. Ginny is the proud owner of Roscoe. Carter has returned to Applebottom, when he returned he thought it would be quiet but when he runs into Ginny and Roscoe it all changes. He tells Ginny that he wants to help train Roscoe. If you want a fast, super cute, small town feel read, then this books is for you! You won’t be sorry!!
The Perfect Disaster is another small town, sweet romance by Abby Tyler! She does a wonderful job of bringing us characters to love and root for as they overcome their obstacles while finding their happily ever after.
Ginny and Carter are thrown together by the town’s busy bodies under the premise of Carter helping Ginny train her crazy, out of control Great Dane, Roscoe. It is the friendship that they form that brings them closer together. And, of course, where would the fun be if one of them didn’t screw up the budding relationship. Now, in order for them to find their way back to each other, one of them is going to have to take the first step and make a grand gesture.
4.5 Stars for The Perfect Disaster
Abby Tyler is a new author to me but after reading this I’m struggling to understand why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now, what I am certain of is this won’t be the last book I read by her.
If you love small town romance with loveable characters and plenty of witty banter this should be your next read because I’m sure like me you will fall in love with the residents of Applebottom Missouri and let’s not forget their loveable pets.
Ginny had no idea what she had let herself in for when she rescued a pup named Roscoe well pup is not really the right description for this giant let’s knock anyone over who gets in my way puppy, but the residents of Applebottom come to the rescue with a plan that not only involves training Roscoe but also involves Ginny and Coach Carter getting it together……..
This book has all the feels and it will certainly leave you feeling all fuzzy inside as well as smiling like a Cheshire Cat, and I for one can’t wait to check out other works by this very talented author.
Favorite Quotes:
Maude came back and took another peek at my notes and told me I was too old to be sparking over Alfred Felmont. I nearly smacked her with my good leather notebook, except I have a high regard for our distinguished group and don’t want to get blood on our minutes.

No one could sneeze in this town without someone holding out a box of tissue.
“Gertrude looks like she’s just bit a lemon.” Ginny bit back a smile. Gertrude, with her helmet of white hair and sour expression, did indeed seem to be permanently displeased.
Just listen to yourself, Maude. You’re going off like a preacher during Lent.
My Review:
I was an instant fan just a few sentences into Abby Tyler’s amusing debut novel of The Sweetest Match, and she has topped that with her clever sequel of The Perfect Disaster. I adore this wittily written small-town series and giggle-snorted my way through this fun and frothy tale featuring the new arrivals of Roscoe, an excitable gentle giant and rescued Great Dane; and Ginny, his petite new dog mom, whom Roscoe clearly outweighed. The meddlesome biddies of Applebottom discussed the large and vexing loose cannon and as they just weren’t having it, decided to tag in Carter, the handsome and single high school football coach for muscle. The snark and petty sniping those old crones tossed at each other and under their breath was comedic gold.
4.5 Star Review The Perfect Disaster by Abby Tyler
Abby Tyler is a relatively new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. I really enjoyed The Perfect Disaster. From Start to finish Ms.Tyler had me hooked as she wove her tale about the people from Applebottom, Missouri.
The Perfect Disaster ticked quite a few boxes for me. This is a small town contemporary romance about Ginny Page and Carter McBride. Throw in an out of control Great Dane named Roscoe and you know that there is going to be a few laughs.
Having been left humiliated, Carter returns to Applebottom to hide from the world and lick his wounds, that is until Ginny and her dog cross his path. Ginny has plenty of self doubts and yet despite them she is slowly opening herself to the possibility of finding love and happiness. Thanks to the interference of the town’s people Carter is coerced in to helping train her out of control dog, which makes for great reading. What follows is truly a story that will leave you smiling and feeling good.
A fun, quick, sweet romantic read about taking a chance and I cannot wait to visit Applebottom, Missouri again.
Ginny really had no idea what she was getting her self into when she took on the poor wee pup Roscoe who turns into a giant tornado. Thankfully the townsfolk of Applebottom decide to intervene and poor Coach Carter is thrown in the path of Ginny and Roscoe. I just love how flawed they both are with the self doubts but wanting happiness, the way they act around each other and dance around the feelings yet can’t help but show their attraction. This book is all around warm fuzzies along with having you in fits of giggles, some forehead slapping at times and wanting the next book now so you can see her is next in Applebottom to be thrown together!
Abby Tyler does it again! Mix small town busy-bodies with an out of control Great Dane, add a dash of laughter, and a big cup of romance, and you have the recipe for another satisfying love story in Applebottom. Ginny becomes the town’s latest project when her big dog causes a big mess in the town square. Carter, the local high school football coach, is sent to help, with hilariously mixed results. If the ingredients sound enticing, you’ll find Abby has combined them into an even more sweetly satisfying happily-ever-after treat.
A small slip of a woman, harnessed to an out of control Great Dane named Roscoe, need I say more? This second book of the Applebottom Matchmaker Society, is my favorite, so far. There is dog chasing, dog destruction, dog training mayhem. There is new found friends, romance and of course the commitment issues that keep the story interesting. Fun, fast and entertaining read.
