The Peacemaker takes the reader on an unforgettable adventure filled with action, romance, and of course two Norse goddesses. The backdrop is WWII and yet again, Heidi Vanlandingham creates a fantastic world steeped in history. The hero is a tortured soul bent on vengeance while the heroine is trying to find her way in a world gone mad. It’s interesting to see these two not only fall in love but work through their fears. The plot is so well-paced, there were times when I would get caught up in the story. The writing is superb with plenty of emotional tension. The characters come alive and the reader is pulled into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed The Peacemaker and look forward to the next installment in the series. Highly recommend!

Norse mythology sets the stage in this paranormal romantic tale set in WWII
Two meddling Norse goddesses set their sights on stopping Hitler and saving Earth. I loved this story with two strong and independent characters. Aleksandra has lots of talent, she just needs to believe in herself. This story was in constant motion with an interesting plot. How can you not love action not only from the war but also from Asgard which involved time travel, magic and some fierce scheming. Aleksandra and Jakob are both strong and likable main characters who have a slow build romance. This story is a stand alone with its own end, but it is a continuing story and the characters from book one are also engaged in this story, so best to read these in order. There was enough depth to give the reader details for the story, but not so much to be dragged down. Plenty of suspense and twists, some sad moments and some happy ones. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
A great action and adventure, war story. An interesting blend of World War II history with Norse mythology. I particularly enjoyed Aleksandra’s unassuming personality: always uplifting others. Her cohorts, Jakob, Natalya, and Mikhail added a lot of spice to the story. Unfortunately, the atrocities of the Nazi regime are a major part of that history. Heidi Vanlandingham did a good job of clearly showing how horrific those atrocities really were.
I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.
A force of special and supernatural agents work to defeat the Third Reich in Russia, raised up by the Norse goddesses Freyja and Idunn. They must prevent Hitler from destroying the world, and he also has mythical help and monsters. This is an exciting adventure into WW II like no other!
I adored the characters of Aleksandra and Jakob, who became stronger because of their love for each other.

I knew Heidi Vanlandingham only for mail order bride books, which I love so much! So when I started reading Alexandra I was taken aback as this girl was a Demon Hunter a writer of wrongs very opposite of mail order brides. Thankfully Heidi Vanlandingham is such a great author I didn’t want to stop reading it. I became overexcited by the ending this book was so good and so well planned it out. She made the irrational seem rational and the illogical seem logical this book is so good, don’t pass it over just because you don’t like paranormal romance I was never into that… Until this book. I wish she would make it into an audiobook as that always hiding the excitement level for me and it was already exciting to start off with. So good highly recommend it!
