The Peacemaker: Growing as an Enneagram 9 is designed to help Nines better understand how God created them and how best to use their unique gifts to serve Him and love others. This sixty-day devotional features a full explanation of what the Enneagram is and how it benefits people, followed by a description of what it means to be a Nine, including their deadly sin, sloth, and their greatest … their greatest strength, gut instinct. Empathetic and easygoing, Nines are motived by peace or inner stability and often go with the flow to keep the peace.
The sixty days are split into six 10-day topics that include uniqueness, weakness, strength, pain points, and where Nines go in times of stress and growth.

The enneagram is a new hot topic it seems these days. People are looking to it for answers about who they are and why they seem to be a certain way. Enneagram 9’s are the peacemakers as their title. I am an enneagram 5 with a wing of 6. This means I most closely resemble the characteristics of type 5 with type 6 being my back up. I am definitely not a 9.
But that said. I did learn some about the enneagram and a lot about the type 9’s in my life by reading this sixty-day devotional. I found it easy to read. It contained a lot of information and talked about six topics. Each topic was given ten days to chat about it and expand on it.
A great book to have in your library especially if you are indeed a type 9. But good for non-type 9’s to help you understand the 9’s in your life.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received through Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
I have taken personality tests before when applying for a job. This book is similar to that test but has a more spiritual guide. I will admit at first I was very confused as to what the author was talking about. It seemed a little scientific and I was starting to lose interest in the book. However as I read on I began to understand better about what enneagram was. I’m not quite sure where I fall in the chart but I did see bits that stood out to me.
I like how the book is set up as a devotional which was easy to follow. The book was geared toward the Peacemaker and it gives great information and guidance that directs us to God. Even if you aren’t a Peacemaker, there are still lots of tools we can all relate to. I liked the scriptures in the book and the detailed information for those who are Peacemakers. This devotional would best be used by going through it slowly since it is packed with research and scriptures to be studied.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
This book addresses the Peacemaker, number 9 of the Enneagram personality types. The author discusses their tendencies along with their strengths and weaknesses. Using the form of daily devotionals, she shares how to accept the way you’re made and trust God to help you use the gifts and personality He has given. The sixty devotions are organized into six sections of ten: Peacemaking, Killing Sloth (a big weakness for them), Gut Feelings (the category nines fit in), Understanding Merging (taking on traits of your connected numbers), Dealing with Anxiety, and Claiming your Space. The author writes in an easy to understand way, which helps readers to connect with the material. Even if you’re not a nine, this will help you understand the nines you meet in life. I would like to learn my type and read a book directed to that one. This would make a good discussion book too. Each of the six divisions could be used to guide a discussion on the subject. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.
The Peacemaker: Growing as an Enneagram 9 is quite different than most devotionals I am used to. It is broken into sixty days. Every ten days a new topic is covered, which include: uniqueness, weakness, strength, pain points, and where Nines go in times of stress and growth. Each day is quite short and makes it for quick reading and devotion for those who are busy in their life. It is perfect for them to be able to fit it in their daily life.
I will give The Peacemaker: Growing as an Enneagram 9 three and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who interested in the Enneagram 9 and for those who like to read devotionals. I am sure many will find some faith and inspiration within the pages.
I received The Peacemaker: Growing as an Enneagram 9 from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
