This is an anthology of 5 short stories about the people that are involved with a veteran’s rehabilitation site. Each of the stories is a stand alone story, but you’ll want to read them all. I love the research that this author puts into her books. They are so well written and easy to follow. Also, she puts so much of her religious beliefs into her writing. It just flows so easily. It’s not just stuck in there. I highly recommend this set of short stories. I think you will really like it.
I loved all the stories in this book. Each one is different but the all involve the love of God. Grab you a cup of hot cocoa, your favorite throw and snuggle in for a wonderful heartwarming read. You don’t want to miss this set!
This is an amazing series of short stories. I love them all and now you can get them all in the same book! If you like feel good, uplifting, and heartwarming stories, you will love this book!
I soooo enjoyed reading this set!! In The Soldier’s Heart, we meet Alex and Beth, and they’re in each of the following four stories, which is great!!! Alex and Beth were a couple in school, and Beth had their lives planned out. She didn’t want to hear Alex’s version of what he planned, shut him out when she found his plan was different. Twenty years later, when he returns, can she open her heart to him and find true happiness?
In The Soldier’s Hope, Sam and Jeannie meet. Sam is attracted to Jeannie, but will she look past his scars to the man inside? Or, will she stay with the guy who doesn’t realize how special she is, and who puts other things before her.
In The Soldier’s Healing, we meet Eli and Kandi, and Joy, the resident chef. Eli is attracted to Joy, but can she accept his daughter and look past his scars? Joy knows she needs to pray for Eli, and when Kandi asks if they can keep her to be her Mommy, Joy realizes just how much she longs for the same thing!
In The Soldier’s Help, Tess and Will meet. Tess is trying to heal from four major surgeries, and come to grips with all that has happened. Will knows that he’s falling for Tess, and wonders if he can put aside part of his dream. He’s adapted to his loss, can he now help Tess adapt to hers, and could they both be open to adoption?
In The Soldier’s Harvest, Matt and Lydia meet. Lydia’s dream is to open her own restaurant near her sister, Joy. Matt feels he’s not worthy of any woman, especially Lydia. When he realizes just how much Lydia cares for him, he’s already in love with her. When Matt re-opens his heart to God, will they be able to make this work?
Each of these stories is so inspiring! And, Christ is at the forefront of each!! Loved these!!!!!!! I really didn’t want the series to end!
