Dedicated burn surgeon Kate Sinclair shields her tender heart behind a white coat and a coolly professional manner. But something about the little patient the nurses dub “Iron Man” and his vital flyboy father challenges her as a doctor and a woman.
Since the car crash that killed his wife and almost took his son, pilot Patrick MacNeill’s life has revolved around his little boy. No one—no woman and certainly no interfering doctor—can intrude on their bond, forged in love and pain.
When little Jack’s care brings these two together, it ignites a passion they can’t ignore. But their growing involvement threatens Patrick’s emotional barriers and Kate’s professional future. With so much at stake, will she trust her judgment…or her heart?

I don’t give books 5 stars. Hardly ever. But I loved this book so much that I had to. It wasn’t a “perfect” book but the characters were so captivating and realistic that you couldn’t help but fall in love with them. Especially little Jack. He always seemed to have the right thing to say at the right time. I started the book HATING Patrick. But in …

What a wonderful read. Kate is a pediatric fellowship doctor in her hometown and is helping with a little boy that she saw before she left 4 years earlier. She falls for the father, and the little boy but they both have personal issues to work on to makes it work.
good story line and good characters – total fun read
Different story line, good read. Romantic, fun read. Believable characters
A fathers journey through his baby sons burns is so very moving. I love the strong bond they have and that Jake was so open and loving as a child. Be prepared to shed a few tears.
3.5
A easy to read book with inspirational characters and of course romance
Great read
It was a family oriented book that left my heart feeling good. The romance was not one of those on again off again ones. It made you feel you were truly a part of it. You laughed, you cried and you even loved with the characters. Highly recommend.
This is the first Kantra book I’ve read and it won’t be the last! Loved the characters, the story line and the writer’s style of writing.
I love how the story develooed, thd characters and how you could feel tvd love of parent and child. How love, tebderness, and understanding built between the adults and even between woman and child.
Have tissues ready. I highly recommended it.
I recommend this book
enjoyed
This book had a lot of repetition, going over and over and repeating parts of the book. Book was okay and I liked the characters but don’t think I will read another.
Loved it!
Really enjoyed this book! I highly recommend it!
Good story. Hard to put down.
Loved the characters.
This story was beautiful. It has a fiction hidden inside of a non fiction. Patrick represented men who make sacrifices for others, no matter the circumstance
I really enjoyed the book 🙂
