I’m trapped in actual hell. And just about everything here is trying to kill me. Even the god who claims he once loved me has come pretty close to ending my life.
But things are about to change. I’m fed up of being Persephone – human underdog in the Hades Trials. I’ve managed to awaken a little bit of goddess inside me, and now I have power, I’m not afraid to use it.
Although I don’t actually … don’t actually have a clue how to. Nor do I know what I did to get cast out of Olympus twenty-six years ago, or why strangers are seeking to punish me for it. All I know for sure is that I survived the first round of the Hades Trials, and now I need to survive another. One step at a time I will get back to New York.
Because I can’t stay here. Olympus is filled with monsters, and ruled by monsters, and I do not fit in.
The trouble is, the more I discover about the mysterious King of the Underworld, the less sure I am that he fits in either. My connection to him is undeniable, and it’s not escaped the other gods’ notice. They don’t want me to stay in Olympus, and now that I have my power back, they’re going to make the next three Trials even more lethal.
If I can survive, I’m a step closer to getting home. But if I spend much more time with Hades, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to leave.
The Passion of Hades is book 2 in the Hades Trials trilogy, which is intended for adults and is packed with magic, mythology and slow-burn soulmate romance!

The Passion of Hades by Eliza Raine is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading very much and can not wait to read more from this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

‘The Passion of Hades’ is book two in the co-authored series The Hades Trials by Eliza Raine and Rose Wilson.
After surviving the first round of trials, being attacked by a Phoenix, and gaining some of her powers. Persy has three tokens with six trials still remaining, can she win enough tokens and become Hades’ wife. The first three trials weren’t easy and it’s only going to get harder, will having some power be enough to survive the underworld or will she become like the rest of the Olympians and have no remorse for killing.
I just want to say that the ending of this book was NOT ok, that was one hell of a cliffhanger. I am so distraught, frustrated and broken over it. So this review might seem a little chaotic, jumbled and all over the place, but that’s because I can’t get my head on straight with the ending. Plus I really NEED to know what’s going to happen next and I want to have this review done so I can start the next book. But argh… so, so, so not happy right now…
Anyway… I am still having some trouble connecting with Persy, I know she has been pulled into a realm she doesn’t know or understand and yes major secrets are being kept from her. But she is being a hypocrite with the whole not being truthful with the Atlas garden. Now if you read book one you know what I mean with the garden. (Sorry don’t want to give any spoilers). But don’t actions speak louder that words. I think she is being manipulated in the most worst of ways, but she is so adamant that everyone is evil that she would rather listen to a voice instead of a physical beings. Rant over, I did see a major growth in her character and I do applaud and praise Persy with what she has had to deal with, it can’t being easy being her. So yes she does need recognition and credit for being able to handle and deal with the crap load of sh*t she has to deal with.
Hades oh my fiery heart you broken, gorgeous, sexy God. You deserve happiness the most, the hell (literally) you have been dealt is cruel, heartless and absolutely devastating. It was absolutely wonderful to be inside his head and get to see things through his smoky ball. You could just feel all his emotions in every action and word he said. Hades you have completely stolen my heart. I will take the trials to be your Queen.
Just when you think you are getting somewhere with answers to all the unknowns, the author goes and throws a curve ball. Although there is a few predictable moments there will be just as many that will have you screaming at your kindle, book or electronic device. Trust me I did.
Such a nail biting, roller coaster, heart pumping experience it’s been reading this book. I feel a little bit like a sucker for punishment as my heart is racing and ready to see what happens next.
The thrills and chills just keep coming! These trials are becoming more dangerous and the fiery flames of passion are flaring hotly. Hades is one tortured soul who’s only chance of retaining himself lies with Persephone. With her powers increasing she only has more frustrations. I’m going to throw my eReader the next time she and Hades get hot and heavy and he doesn’t deliver. Holy freaking buildup! The tensions between these two leap off these pages, because they’ve absolutely burnt the book. I’m worried for our girl because that ending is gutting and I want to join in her ranting and pleading. This isn’t the end and I can’t jump into the next book quickly enough. I’ve got a few theories since she’s been warned not to trust anyone and I’m seriously anxious to see what comes next!
One whirlwind of a second installment in the Hades Trials
One whirlwind of a second installment in the Hades Trials, with more action, more secrets, more danger, more sizzling hot chemistry between Hades and Persephone… And someone is plotting, but who? Who has it for Persephone? Or is she just a pawn in a much sinister plan?
The cliffhanger ending left me stunned, reeling, can you say book-hangover? Oh, I can’t wait to find out! I’m sitting on hot coals waiting for the next book, so I can finally have a closure, and then binge-read the whole series!!!
An interesting take on the hades x persephone myth
Writing as always is good
Ill be interested in seeing where this goes next

The second book sees the heat being turned up on Hades and Percy’s relationship after continuing to tell her to leave he decides he wants his wife back and she needs to win. But theres something terrible wrong Percy’s power is coming back there are terrible dreams and death threats. And Percy is more confused then ever dose she go back to the life she knew as a human or fight and stay with the man and monster she has become closer too. But she may not get the chance one final task in the second trials will cause utter chaos and Percy may not have a choice anymore. Something that will unleash Hades furry and Olypus may fall. This book was intense at moments but the cliffhanger in this one just left me confused but I still liked the book.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review I have also purchased a copy for myself as well.
A fantastic read. It’s a fast paced read that kept me on the edge of my seat. There’s twists and turns, that I didn’t see coming. The story building is fantastic as well as the Characters. As I read I could picture the scenes in my mind’s eye. This is definitely a must read.

I was super excited for book 2, and it didn’t disappoint! Persephone is really coming into her own now that some of her powers have come back; she’ll definitely need them with how dangerous the trials are for becoming Hades’ wife. Although, she already is his wife, so I’m still pretty salty that Hades still hasn’t put a stop to this horrible trials scenario. Still love him though! The romance is ramped up in this one, and oh man! the connection between Hades and Persephone is so wonderfully passionate! Love that we get a bit of Hades’ POV! It awesome to understand more about him and how much he really feels for Persephone. Still loving the Underworld setting, and the author does a great job with world building; some cool creatures and people and the mythology is interesting. Lots of action and adventure! The ending was infuriating; cliffhanger and all, so I hope the next book is out super soon!
Hades and Persephone are back as things heat up and the story gets more involved. Persephone gets her magic back and that seemed to make it open season for everyone to get serious in killing her. A few more secrets are uncovered and hinted at. Just a good story for the series that kept me reading to the end to see what was going to happen next and of Hades and Persephone would start to work things out. The action was high and I was entertained.
The Passion of Hades picks up where The Power of Hades leaves off. A great continuation well written. This story has it all. I can not wait to read what happens next.

Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
An underdog goddess that has a very powerful enemies. To make matter worse, she is stripped of her goddess status and memories as she undergo her trials. Talk about stacking the odds against her. But don’t count her out yet. She may not be a goddess anymore, but she has the determination and ingenuity of a human.

This is the story of Persephone, a botanical garden enthusiast, who works in a New York coffee shop as a barista. She is kidnapped and forced to participate in a series of deadly trials to be the prize and honored at Hades’ side as his Queen. She really doesn’t want the prize and just would like to get back to her brother in New York.
Persephone has now passed round one of the trials, has gained some of her powers back, and she has gone on to round two. The attraction between her and Hades is growing and she feels their connection getting stronger.
I love the fact that we meet the gods we learned about in mythology. The story line is fast-paced and makes it easy for the reader to stay immersed in the story, experiencing every challenge. Will Persephone get her memories back so she knows who the enemy is and what has happened to her? Will she survive round two of the trials? Will she get the rest of her powers back soon enough to survive what is ahead?
Eliza Raine you Blow my Mind!! It has been an adventure. This book offers you the Greek mythology that was not taught to us in school! It is a phenomenal read and honestly I can not wait for the next book! This story offers slow burn love a lot of drama and suspense. This is a beautiful story but it will have you fretting for Pers and Hades! I loved the first and the 2nd book is even better. Yes you will leave this with many questions but it is so worth it! Oh I hope we do not have long to wait for the next book!

The second book in the series and the author does not disappoint! She once again brings strong characters and weaves a story that had me glued to the pages from start to finish and left me with wanting more. There’s tons of emotion, drama, suspense and danger as well as the passion and romance to make this an awesome series. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Wow couldn’t put this down and now I have a really bad book hangover. The passion between Hades and Persy really heated up in this one but so did the danger and intrigue. Never trust the gods- they don’t play fair. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
