Not my favorite, a little wacky…..
It was a page turner. I enjoyed the book, but toward the end it became a bit far-fetched.
Loved this book. Could hardly put it down, so anxious to find out what happened. The characters were great and the world war II aspect was very heartwrenching.
Not very good
A Bit Like James Bond. Not a very serious book but fast paced.
I totally enjoyed this book until the end when I felt like I was left hanging.
A shocking depiction of the early days of Hitler’s impact on Europe as seen through the eyes of a rather naive and sheltered little rich girl and her equally wealthy new husband. The story follows their progression from pampered to powerful as they try to fulfill a promise to a friend and extricate themselves from the unfathomable dangers of the Nazi conquest.
This looked like a movie script with the lead characters only one step ahead of the Nazis. Great book.
Enjoyed a look into the past pre world two. A look into the evils done to Jews and those Hitler deemed unfit. Had to read next two that were great. Would love to see what happened to Able
I thought it was wonderful can’t wait to read the others in the series.
A real page turner with characters that have real personalities and keep you guessing I immediately purchased the next book in the series!
Loved the way the main character developed, layer after layer is divulged revealing a complex and fascinating person.
Loved it
Could not put it down.
Not very well written.
The characters seemed a little unreal to me. Lots of action with the rise of Nazi Germany and atrocities to Jews. Not a very broad perspective on events of the times. Rating = fair”.
It was a fun read!
Really opened up my eyes to more of the terrible time Europe went through before WWII.
I don’t normally like to read books of this period in time. It was like being in the story it was so facinating. Very sad too in parts, the truth of what was done to the Jewish people. We need to never forget those terrible times. I loved the main characters, very believeable. Look forward to the next book.
It was the worst book I ever read in my life!!!
