Keeps things moving
Enjoyed the continued saga of the main characters (along with the new ones) from previous book. Great word descriptions of the environment/setting where the action takes place, I could easily picture it. The plot interesting and looking forward to next book.
The Paradise Key – a review by Rosemary Kenny.
Ben, (his fiancée Julie) and fellow CSO agent George Red, aka Reggie, have been sent by their mutual boss, (the mysterious, unseen – a là Charlie in Charlie’s Angels, Mr E) to liaise with Dr Sarah Lindgren, then investigate the Ravenshadow security set-up, on a nearby Bahamas floating holiday resort…with whose leader they have a vendetta. Who’s Joshua Jefferson?
What does Dr Li give Julie and Ben?
After many shenanigans, face-offs and discoveries that might have been a little less ‘out there’ in the details, Ben, Julie, Reggie, Dr Sarah and resort employee Susan reveal at the ostensibly perfect Paradiso, that’s not all it seems, of course, things come to an all-action conclusion that you won’t want to miss.
Grab your copy of this, more Austin Powers than James Bond, adventure for a rip-roaring yarn, Nick Thacker’s The Paradise Key, that you’ll really enjoy!
The story helps move forward with the growing body of evidence that Europeans visited North America well before Columbus’ voyage. This is coupled with an intriguing story with just the right amount of drama and intrigue. The authors style makes it easy for me to suspend reality and slip into the fully fledged worlds he has carefully built. Well worth reading.
I recommend this book to everyone who a good ensemble mystery. Those of you who do and enjoy a Florida Keys will enjoy this series.
Interesting story. I enjoyed it.
Experiments are being done on humans who are being held on a Caribbean island.
How can Harvey and his crew find the answers they need without getting killed? The suspense keeps building as evil tries to destroy them.
In this fifth book of the Harvey Bennett series, the group is off to paradise, or are they. Still in pursuit of their current nemesis, they are placed in a life or death situation, and stumble across an out of this world experiment. Wonderful characters and the scenery is very descriptive. Looking forward to the next book.
Plastic characters and predictable story. No more for me from this author.
Good read
Couldn’t get into it at all! Sorry.
Ending felt a little anti-climactic
Good book lots of action.
So so. Boring
I have loved all of Nick Thacker’s thrillers. They are all easy to read with all the action you want.
Thacker is one of my favorite authors. He always has two or three directions happening. I always look forward to his books.
Love the series. Great characters. This book was not my favorite. The story was a little more predictable in my opinion but still really enjoyed.
This is great escapist fun! I enjoyed the wildly imaginative situations and harrowing escapes.
Good, not great……I appreciate endings……this one, unsatisfying. But a good fast read.
At best a so-so read
