Deacon Hunter is domineering. Condescending. Infuriating. And yet I can’t seem to keep my panties on for five minutes when we’re alone together. He keeps melting them right off. With that sexy voice, those confident hands, the way he brings my body wildly to life, he’s proved my libido hasn’t gone into permanent, post-divorce hibernation after all. Surely there’s no harm in being enemies with … benefits… Right? ***When Violet Boden asks me to take her Divorce Virginity, the only thing I can think is—come again? No, seriously, come again. And again and again, until both of us are so satisfied we can’t remember the people who did us wrong. Best if we keep conversation to a minimum, though, considering I drive her crazy. She drives me crazy sometimes, too. But she’s also sweet, loyal, fearless, and so much fun she’s making it damn hard not to fall for her. But how to convince a woman who’s put me in the emotional no-fly zone that I deserve a place in her heart? Whew! This was a quick, steamy read with the right touch of angst! Fresh from a divorce, Violet isn’t looking for a relationship, she only wants some divorce sex to satisfy her needs. Deacon is sexy, confident, and also doesn’t want a relationship. So what is the harm in indulging in hot steamy sex? Even though they can’t stand one another, they can’t deny that they have chemistry. Will some sexy times lead to more? Can they move past the hurt of their pasts to possibly have a future?
I thought the plot was highly entertaining and the characters very likable (even the secondary characters). The chemistry was off the charts! It was sexy and swoony, and I hated for it to end. It does have a HEA. I recommend reading this book.
***ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.***
I just want to start out by saying the cover of this book is HOT!!
A Halloween party where people are wearing masks finds Deacon Hunter and Violet Boden on the floor in the attic of that party house. He can’t wait to consume this gorgeous woman before him. All is going his way of course, because he is known to be the panty melter, when she decides they need to remove the masks so they can see each other while engaging in activities. Sadly, that’s where the attic banging stops because she realizes that he is Deacon Hunter, her bosses brother. whomp, whomp 🙁 .
I devoured this book! It was so good! It was funny, sexy, hot and a great story line! Deacon and Violet had so much electricity going on!! I have enjoyed reading these stories about those hot Hunter men!!
I received a review copy of the book before release for an honest review.
This is a series and a new author for me but I adored this couple and their story. The Panty Melter is Deacon who is a former SEAL and single dad who is 45 but all his kids are out of the house. He is in lust with Volet who works for hs dad and is a single mom to also older kids, she is 40.
I love that this is an older couple and they have lots of fun and hot times together. Deacon is portrayed in the beginning as sorta a manwhore but he so isnt and I fell pretty hard for him. Violet is just getting on her feet after a divorce and so she doesnt want an alpha male like DEacon but the two cannot stay away from each other.
This was an awesome story with lots of hot times, humor and characters I loved.
This book had a lot of humor in it and it was a fun read. This is a first Lili Valente book for me and I did enjoy it.
Deacon and Violet have a comedy of events take place that makes life interesting. The heat is off the hook hot. Their relationship takes a few turns and it does all work out in the end, again with lots of humor.
The characters are great and believable. Sometimes opposites do attract and it can make a relationship even stronger because of the differences. Despite the humor there were some real life issues that popped up but they work through them and come out stronger for them.
I immersed myself and devoured this highly entertaining Enemies to Lover’s story with some rather quirky characters with interesting lives.
I thought Deacon was one hell of a man. Although Vi had somewhat of a different opinion initially of him, however she grew to like him a lot. I just loved the banter and witty messages, the friendships they both had and their jobs as well.
I loved the direction the story went and the ending was absolutely amazing! Such a great read, I can highly recommend it as. A must read!
I really, really enjoyed this one. I could hardly put this book down. I got ensnared by the characters right away. I liked that the characters in this one are a little older. I just loved Deacon and Violet. If you’re of enemies to lovers then you will love this one to pieces. This book had the humor that I love with a Lili Valente book. I don’t know how many times I found myself laughing out loud while reading this. I loved the epilogue so hard. I’m going to admit that honestly was my favorite part of the book. It just made my heart so happy! I can’t recommend this book enough!
Lili is one of my must click’s…her stories never disappoint.
Violet & Deacon come together in an unexpected way. They have hawtttt chemistry!
This is proof that you should maybe ask the hot stud you sleep with his name….but like what fun would that be 🙂
This is the forth book in the series and it’s a must read…do yourself a favor and grab the whole series…trust me they are all hot, sexy, and totes worth the read!

A fast, hot and funny read I definitely recommend
Book 4 in the Hunter Brothers series, I’m still relatively new to this author and haven’t read the earlier books in this series. I thought this worked well read as a standalone, but with some characters carrying over, I’d guess having the background from those other books would add to the enjoyment here.
I loved both Violet and Deacon; for one thing, it was a nice change to read about characters with grown children and who act like adults, but still have a sense of fun as well as tons of chemistry. I related strongly to Violet—of course I did, she’s an animal lover!—and found her concerns that Deacon was not only her boss’s brother, but too like her ex completely understandable. I loved how open Deacon was about wanting something more, and yeah, I might be a sucker for ex-military, first responder types, lol.
Add in plenty of great secondary characters (I ADORED Mina and Adriana!) and a story that kept me engaged, and it all made for a fast, hot and funny read I definitely recommend. 5+ stars

5 ‘Panty Melting’ stars!!
The Panty Melter is the fourth standalone in ‘The Hunter Brothers’ series of standalone books. After, Dylan Rafe and Tristan got their girls, it’s now Deacon’s turn. Deacon’s been in and out of the series, he’s ex-military and has just recently retired from the Airforce. Now he spends his days working on his dad’s farm and volunteering part-time with the local fire department. He’s at a loose end of sorts, just waiting to see where his life is going, until he and Violet meet at a costume party. They are just getting down and dirty when Violet discovers who the man beneath the mask is that she was hooking up with. Queue rapid exit!! Violet works for Deacon’s younger brother, Tristan. They know each other… sort of. But she knows she can’t get involved with her boss’s older brother. Deacon thinks otherwise and sets out to prove just how wrong she is, and how right they are for each other. He’s hot, sexy and pretty alpha, but he is sweet and romantic too. He swept Violet off her feet with his wooing and I have to say, it was very swoon worthy. He was a man on mission and he never failed to deliver the goods. There was some funny banter, sexy innuendo and plenty of steamy times. But then there came a lump in the road and Deacon let his ‘take charge’ mentality get the better of him. Violet didn’t like seeing that side of him. He’s a tough cookie under pressure and didn’t wait to see how she felt. Violet tried hard not to fall for Deacon. She’s been divorced for two years and is lonely now that 2 of her 3 daughter have flown the nest, and Adriana, the youngest will be gone by the end of the summer. Deacon is already under her skin, but now he’s wormed his way into her heart too. Can she ignore his ultra-alpha tendencies and let love fill the hole in her soul? This was a sweet and sexy, stightly angsty story. The characters were older, being divorced and in their forties but the story was just as entertaining, if not more so. I loved both Deacon and Violet, and the ending made me laugh. This is definitely a contender for the One-Clickers out there. Grab your copy today and enjoy.
The Panty Melter is the fourth book in the Hunter Brothers series by the talented, fabulous and hilarious Lili Valente. I’ve been waiting for Deacon’s story. He’s the oldest brother, at forty-five, and the one who took care of his younger brothers with his sternness, domineering and jerky tendencies. He’s been single for a long time and a single father who loves his boys. He wasn’t always there for him when he was deployed, but he would do anything for them. Violet works for his brother. She’s a recently divorced single mom at the age of forty. She thinks Deacon is like her ex and she wants no part of that even if just being near him has her clenching her thighs and constantly stopping herself from jumping him. Deacon likes Violet. She gorgeous, smart, a great mom. But she hates him and he has no idea why. He wants her and it’s more than their combustible chemistry. He wants to date her. Take her out. She wants stop wanting him. Violet starts to see that Deacon isn’t who she thought he was. He’s kind, sweet, thoughtful and caring. He’s also the sexiest man she’s ever seen and she can’t stop kissing him. That’s it! She’s giving in and after one date, she stops fighting and lets it happen. It’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s hot. It’s like nothing she ever had before. Maybe being divorced and forty isn’t so bad. Maybe this is her chance at real happiness. Deacon is an adult. He knows what he wants and he goes after. He wants Violet and now that she’s his, he’s never letting her go. When obstacles keep getting in their way, can they make it over them together? I loved this story for so many reasons. One, they are older, in their forties, like me, and there aren’t enough romances out there with older characters. Two, they are mature, rational adults that don’t stop talking, run away or give up. It’s refreshing to read about adults having an adult relationship. Third, it’s hilarious and sexy. Deacon is my favorite Hunter brother and I want him for myself! He’s sexy, smart, fit, can sing (swoon), and would do anything for the people he cares about, no questions asked. Lili Valente is one of my go-to-authors and she always gives me what I need: humor, sexiness, fun, friendship, family, lovable characters and hilariousness!
PHEW! Deacon is a serious heart melter, let along setting some serious flames a fire. Lili Valente once again gives us a steamy, quick read full of passion, heat, and heart.
A fun and flirty enemies to lovers, Deacon and Violet are not looking for anything romantic, let alone a relationship. But neither of them can resist the serious chemistry that’s blasting off between them. They seriously can’t keep their hands off each other. I love that both Violet and Deacon are a little older, both with kids in college and both divorced. That’s where the similarities ended though, each with their own unique traits and outlook on life. Violet is a great balance to Deacon’s rough military background. She’s sweet, caring, a natural nurturer, while Deacon is a lead-with-your heard, ask questions later kinda guy. While finally delving into their undeniable attraction, they both find there’s more to their relationship than an insatiable spark.
Lili Valente is always a crowd pleaser with fun, sexy, and funny rom coms. The Hunter family series has delivered every time. I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a light-hearted read full of heat and chemistry.
Love-a-thon with a side of laughs.
This is the kind of uplifting read we all need in our lives. Just pure fun and electrifying chemistry in a romance that makes you feel good from your toes to your fluttering heart.
The 40-something characters are larger than life, full of humour and struck with a lust that would threaten to blow up my kindle 😀
I loved how they couldn’t tame their need for each other while battling frustration all around. These enemies quickly became addicted amid wild animals, savvy teens and heavy baggage. I laughed so much I forgot everything, especially with a certain sea scene and all the texts between friends. Hilarious!
And I got hot and bothered in the most delicious ways.
The writing is just so lively, witty and stimulating.
The relationship is wonderfully playful and warm, yet also charged with all the trimings that come with mature couples who’ve had their share of experiences in life, disappointment and kids.
I loved the big surprise that wedged itself in this couple’s honeymooon stage and threw them for a loop. Lots of emotions mixed with crazy fun at the end. I felt energized with all the love and good vibes 😀
The Panty Melter is the fourth book in the Hunter Brothers series by one of my favorite authors, Lili Valente. The Panty Melter can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading the previous book as well. They are so fucking good. Lili has a way of making me laugh and swoon all at the same time.
Deacon is back to being a civilian after serving twenty-five years in the military, twenty of those he was in and out of the county on deployment. Violet was married for twenty years and it’s been two years since her divorce. She has been dating duds since then so when she found herself in an attic with a man who sets her body on fire she wants more. Until, she figures out who the sexy stranger is. Deacon Hunter. Her boss’s older brother. A man who most definitely isn’t looking for what she is. A meaningful relationship.
(Yes. She knows going to an attic with a stranger isn’t exactly giving him that vibe either.)
Deacon wants her. So bad. Even if she drives him absolutely crazy! He can’t stop thinking about her. The way she felt. They way she touched him. Her smile. Her sweetness. Her crazy. But, can he show her that he could be the man she is looking for?
Omg! I loved this one. Deacon and Violet’s chemistry is off the charts hot! Their banter is hilarious. And it is awesome that the characters are older. Deacon is forty-five and Violet is forty. They are both single parents to grown ass kids. They know what they want. They don’t want to play games. Well, unless it’s on the bedroom.
Overall…it’s one of my favorites in the series! The characters are lovable. The story is beautiful and sexy. The writing is so good! Lili always throws in some unique situations that make me laugh, cry, and swoon.
P.S. it’s very cool to read about the County I live in! Even the city.
Quotes:
She can give me the cold shoulder all she wants today, but we both know that last night I set her on fire.
“I’m a lady on the street, Mr. Hunter. Save your dirty jokes for my kitchen, where they belong.”
Life, man. Sometimes you have to say fuck this shit and just eat all the ice cream. All of it.
When I started this book, I didn’t realize it was the fourth in a series. I haven’t read the first three. I didn’t feel lost or that I was missing anything. It is a complete standalone.
I thought this would be another laugh out loud read. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few scenes that did have me laughing.
I just didn’t connect with Violet much. It’s not that I didn’t like her, I did. I was just missing the connection that I love to have while reading.
Deacon is a good character.
The writing is great.
This is a case of an “it’s me, not the book.” It was a little slow for me.
I would say to give this a chance because I have a feeling I’m in the minority with my opinion.
This is a good read, I just didn’t love it.
The Panty Melter by Lili Valente was hilarious and steamy. Deacon and Violet had some hot and steamy chemistry that burned off the pages. The push and pull between them and their witty banter will keep you captivated. Though half the time they drive each other crazy, the other half they can’t keep their hands of each other.
This enemies to lovers story was just so much fun to read. Deacon was just so cocky, gruff and determined. Violet was caring and strong, even after her divorce. Both of them were older and had previous relationships with older children and were not looking for anything permanent. And yet they find themselves getting to know each other and finding something neither expected. A great read and one I highly recommend!
4.5-stars. Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading.
Violet is fresh out of a divorce and ends up hooking up with Deacon. They drive each other crazy but are insanely attracted to each other. This story was funny and had witty banter between these characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend it.
This is the fourth book in the series, but can be read as standalone!
At the heart, this is a second chance story. Violet needs something new on the heels of a divorce. She’s got a perception of Deacon – who happens to be her boss’ brother – that isn’t quite right, but she’s got her heels dug in about it. Deacon’s been the caretaker for his brothers and isn’t looking for a relationship. Famous last words if I ever heard them!
The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and as with lots of enemies-to-lovers stories, that passion translates really well once they figure out how to better channel it.
Fantastic banter, a really lovely storyline and an all around swoony romance story about two mature adults finding love where they least expected it. Definitely recommend!
The Panty Melter is HOT HOT HOT! With a little cat and mouse chase, I have to say this read was fun and sexy! Deacon and Violet will met your kindles. I truly felt why Violet was so hesitant with Deacon. But their chemistry was too good to let go. I loved the characters in this story! There was a dash of suspense added and you get a lot of steamy details! Another great story by Lili!!
This is the fourth book in this awesome series, and is Hunter and Violet’s story. It is a unique and refreshing change when the main characters are both in their 40’s and both divorced. Neither of these characters is looking for any relationship, but can they move on from enemies / lovers with benefits? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written flawless story which has witty banter, and is a fun and all round entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
What happens when you least expect “the one”? Violet, a strong sassy divorced mom. Denton, a military man, who has been absent for so long. Somehow their spark ignites a fire in each other. This is a second chance story that will have you laughing and simultaneously swooning.
The text conversations are epic and the writing style captured my attention and made this an easy story to read.
