I watched the mini-series on Amazon and really enjoyed it, but everyone said it was nothing like the book. Well, I decided to check it out and completely loved this read. I’d say watch the show first (everyone who flipped it seemed disappointed), but this is a great follow up.
An OK Agatha Christie book
I love A. Christie books.
A far better and more interesting work than the dramatization of it that I recently viewed on Amazon Prime.
Pale Horse is one of Agatha Christie’s better books. The plot is suspenseful.
I was sorry when it ended! It was rather gripping, I thought I could solve it, but I didn’t!
I reread this book during the era of US COVID-19 craziness because I wanted a well-written book with a solid plot, sane characters, who aren’t so absorbed in their personal soap operas that the plot become secondary and quickly forgotten, and no gratuitous violence or gore. Rather than watch the recent video version of The Pale Horse and risk …
Can never go wrong with a Christie book.
I was sure I knew who did it. What a surprise ending!
You are engaged from the start. The mystery of the hexes put on the people and the witches involvement. Also the people who supported the beliefs with their personnsl superstitions help this book along magnificently.
typical Agatha. She is always good even if predictable.
As usual, I had no idea who the murderer was. Someday, I hope to read one of her books and correctly guess the right one
much better than the mini series!!! read the book!
Enjoyable and captivating plot in the Christie style.
First time Agatha has disappointed me.
It took me several tries to get into this book when I was younger. I’m not sure why. Eventually I was able to read it all the way through & really enjoyed it. Not a fan of the screen adaptation though.
Just a generic Agatha Christie—but a good, kind of mindless read which is what I am reading during the shutdown.
I read and reread Agatha Christie books to enter a world where everything comes together in the end and makes perfect sense. It gets me away from the coronavirus pandemic, where very little seems to make sense.
Another enjoyable mystery by Agatha Christie.
