The former Presidential Agent’s Office of Organizational Analysis has been disbanded. Charley Castillo and his colleagues have retired, and the sudden death of the President has brought an adversarial Commander-in-Chief into the Oval Office… But just because Castillo is out of the government doesn’t mean he’s out of business. He still has the skills and the manpower to do what others can’t or … what others can’t or won’t do. And his first job is a real killer. A barrel filled with some nightmarishly lethal biohazard material has been shipped to an Army medical lab—material that Castillo and his men were supposed to have destroyed on a mission. Clearly, the message is that more of the deadly material remains.
But who has it? And what do they want? With lives at stake—including his own—Castillo knows that he’s not going to like the answers one damn bit…

W.E.B. Griffin is a story teller without peer. I’ve probably read all of his books, some more than once.
Good read. Like all of w.e.b. Griffin books.
Great book by an author who is a favorite!
It was a hard read at first, however after getting half way through it became easier. It had a good finish
i think what Butterworth has done to a promising series is criminal. The man can not write and most of the book is a rehash of the previous books. About 60 pages are newish material everything else is from the previous books. Run away don’t spend your money on this rubbish.
I like reading all of the WEB Griffin books.
Unintentionally convoluted and filled with long Russian names that don’t seem to resolve. Maybe I’m just not paying attention!
You don’t have a “Like” category for writing. W.E.B. Griffin and William Butterworth put words together in such a interesting, enjoyable and beautiful way, that every one of their books is a great experience to read. You always want more, and more and more.
Too boring to finish…
Have never read a W.E.B Griffith book that I have not enjoyed. He is to adventure/WW2 History books as Louis Lamour is to westerns. Plus he feeds you little known historical facts that are wonderful to know.
Lived up to all my expectations!
Entertaining read – although, like a lot of WEB’s books, a lot is spent on historical info. Love the charaters.
Any and all of W.E.B. Griffins books are fantastic love his wook
Post WWII action. Love all W.E.B. Griffin books especially ” the Corps”. Characters are well developed and action keeps moving.
Total recap of past novels, generally sucked
You can never go wrong with WEB Griffin!
Seven in an eight part series, so the authors have to do a lot of backing and filling to bring readers who haven’t read the previous six novels, up to speed. I had, but it was still a nice review. Just a fun read. The schtick is the good guys are always well stocked with resources and so end up surprising the powers that be. This is not Dostoievski by any means. Just a fun time-passer.
Another great read by Griffin and Butterworth following the characters we love.
