She was his best-kept secret …
In an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman begins work on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West—a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power.
Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance.
Gabriel is lured into the hunt for the traitor after his most important asset inside Russian intelligence is brutally assassinated while trying to defect in Vienna. His quest for the truth will lead him backward in time, to the twentieth century’s greatest act of treason, and, finally, to a spellbinding climax along the banks of the Potomac River outside Washington that will leave readers breathless.
Fast as a bullet, hauntingly beautiful, and filled with stunning double-crosses and twists of plot, The Other Woman is a tour de force that proves once again that “of all those writing spy novels today, Daniel Silva is quite simply the best” (Kansas City Star).

He’s always on top of current affairs and provides an outside view much needed. The stories are always compelling.
Love this one as all his other books!
Gabriel Allon. Nothing more need be said. Spy extorniaire
I have read all of Daniel Silva’s books. Great reading. He knows how to write a book.
Silva makes reference to the current USA political situation. I wonder how he writes a book with such a complicated plot so quickly. I do love his characters. They have changed over the years as they struggle with the lives they have lived. The story is complicated enough to be interesting and the writing is good.
Not as good as other Silva books.
Hard to put down
Last chapter was very exciting
I enjoy all of his books, waiting for the next one now!
one of the best Allon books so far.
I’m breathing again after I breathlessly read this book. What an an amazing plot set into current world events! Daniel Silva is an amazing author and publishes at great speed. I can hardly wait for the next Gabriel Allon adventure.
Daniel Silva is a genius.
Silva never disappoints. His characters are familiar friends with whom we age. This is a good story and reads too quickly. You guess the secret, but not how it plays out…love that!
Classic Daniel Silva, I couldn’t put this book down!!! One of his best!
Daniel Silva always delivers a great thriller
Gabriel Anon just keeps on rolling. Typical Silva with a new twist or two.
Plot and characters are becoming long in the tooth. Wish there was a panel that proclaimed that a novel was boring. If there was one that listed boring this novel would fit the bill.
It was quite a struggle to get through this book, perhaps it is time for the author to strike out into a new genera. It would aid him in developing a new perspective, characters and plot.
Typical Daniel Silva!
Silva never disappoints
Silva is more like le Carre in this book than in his previous ones.
