She was his best-kept secret …
In an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman begins work on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West—a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power.
Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance.
Gabriel is lured into the hunt for the traitor after his most important asset inside Russian intelligence is brutally assassinated while trying to defect in Vienna. His quest for the truth will lead him backward in time, to the twentieth century’s greatest act of treason, and, finally, to a spellbinding climax along the banks of the Potomac River outside Washington that will leave readers breathless.
Fast as a bullet, hauntingly beautiful, and filled with stunning double-crosses and twists of plot, The Other Woman is a tour de force that proves once again that “of all those writing spy novels today, Daniel Silva is quite simply the best” (Kansas City Star).

Enjoyed this. Not great literature but interesting. Made for a movie script
I love everything about the character. He is getting old but so is everyone else. They are always fast paced and full of intrigue and I never want them to stop!
all his books are good reading
Love, love, love all of Daniel Silva’s books.
Frankly, this was the most disappointing of Daniel Silva’s books – and I am a fan usually. The plot line, without spoiling anything, was simply not credible. Whilst the characters continue to be good, perhaps it is time for Gabriel Allon to call it quits?
Another entertaining Gabriel Allon book. Daniel Silva is another favorite author of mine. I always enjoy his characters and plot twists.
Not as good as the rest of the series. Even the central characters seemed bored with the story. A disappointing read.
One more great Daniel Silva book. Loved it!!
Great story but a few too many characters.
Too much info from previous books. Not as much of a page turner as Silva usually produces.
Always read Daniel Silva book about Gabriel Alon
Really slow starting but I did enjoy the book at the end.
The ultimate spy novel . Learned more about Kim Philby, some real, some not. recommend it.
Vintage Silva
Just another great book by Silva.
Classic Silva!
Awesome read! Silva never disappoints.
My favorite Daniel Silva book so far!!! While reading this delightful book, I would
try to put it aside so it would last longer. Then I’d pick it up “just for a few more
pages”. Hope the next of his always good stories comes out soon. It’s often hard to find a really good read, but this one was just about perfect. Gabriel Allon has been
a favorite character since the beginning of the series. More, please.
This was the first Daniel Silva book I thought was less than outstanding. His main character has gone from being the main part of the story to a sideline character. He is now the chief of the department and relegated other individuals to accomplish things he always heroically did himself. My suggestion is that he should step down and allow the previous chief to be reinstated so that he can again be in the thick of things as before .
As always Gabriel Allon is the ultimate spymaster! This book has all of the puzzles and tension a reader can hope for in a novel. Many authors become so formulaic after writing for a character in many sequels. This series is always fresh and exciting. I always look forward to each new novel. Daniel Silva is a master of his genre!
