She was his best-kept secret …
In an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman begins work on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West—a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power.
Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance.
Gabriel is lured into the hunt for the traitor after his most important asset inside Russian intelligence is brutally assassinated while trying to defect in Vienna. His quest for the truth will lead him backward in time, to the twentieth century’s greatest act of treason, and, finally, to a spellbinding climax along the banks of the Potomac River outside Washington that will leave readers breathless.
Fast as a bullet, hauntingly beautiful, and filled with stunning double-crosses and twists of plot, The Other Woman is a tour de force that proves once again that “of all those writing spy novels today, Daniel Silva is quite simply the best” (Kansas City Star).

First book that I have read by this author. Great intrigue. Look forward to reading more of his books.
Love this book – got the audio book and listened to it twice!
I am a big fan of Daniel Silva. Read all his books and enjoyed each one.
Great characters and believable story line.
Always tells a great story, holds readers interest.
Always enjoy Silva’s books and this was the usual good read and kept me turning the pages. Recommend it highly .
Not his best book…he is a wonderful author. I was a bit disappointed in this one
Not one of Silva’s best. I read every one of this books, but this one was just so so.
The plot was not all that convincing or even interesting. I prefer his previous books by far.
Daniel Silva is a master of making Gabe Allon stay alive and righteous
For the first time I had trouble finishing a Daniel Silva book featuring his brilliant Gabriel Allon character. It was simply too long and didn’t hold my interest.
I love Dan Silva’s books! He is very intelligent and truly educates the reader on a lot of topics that are timely in our globalized world. His characters are not oft likeable but fit into an interesting and creative narrative, which sometimes becomes puzzling. Oh, the mystery is on! The ending is somewhat subdued and puzzling, but obvious. I cannot wait to get his next book! What a great author, my reading idol!
Love the All on series, have read them all!
Daniel Silva always delivers
You can never go wrong with Daniel Silva. I am always anxious every time one of his new books drop. Try to read them in order.
Just waiting for the next one, all have been great
Silva never disappoints. He writes the best spy stuff since LeCarre. This is from someone with over 30 years in the business.
I loved this book, too bad we now have a long wait for the next one.
Love Daniel Silva. Awesome author. I have read every book he’s written and will continue to do so. His writing is very telling and real as the events in his books happen every day for people in Israel and the Jewish population at large. Just wish he would write faster!
Love his writing.
I am an avid Daniel Silva fan and have read all of his books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
A completely improbable story at its core – infamous Russian spy, Kim Philby recruits his abandoned daughter as a Russian mole and she is one step from running MI16 — but crafted and conveyed as to be not just possible but believable. As the story unfolds, people on both sides are murdered or die in unusual circumstances while Gabriel looks for the Russian mole he knows exists. After a few false starts, Gabriel identifies the mole, prevents her from escaping to Russia and transports her to the UK for prosecution as a spy even though he suspects that the UK intelligence preferred the spy to be in Russia and not creating a public relations disaster in the UK. His suspicion was dead on.
In short, another outstanding book by Daniel Silva.
