She was his best-kept secret …
In an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman begins work on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West—a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power.
Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance.
Gabriel is lured into the hunt for the traitor after his most important asset inside Russian intelligence is brutally assassinated while trying to defect in Vienna. His quest for the truth will lead him backward in time, to the twentieth century’s greatest act of treason, and, finally, to a spellbinding climax along the banks of the Potomac River outside Washington that will leave readers breathless.
Fast as a bullet, hauntingly beautiful, and filled with stunning double-crosses and twists of plot, The Other Woman is a tour de force that proves once again that “of all those writing spy novels today, Daniel Silva is quite simply the best” (Kansas City Star).

This is one of the better books Daniel Silva has written. The story line is less predictable than some of his earlier books. Weaving a little historical espionage into the story made the story more interesting. A good summer read.
I’m an admirer of Daniel Silva’s work, and his books get better with each new one that he produces. I thoroughly enjoyed The Other Woman and recommend it to anyone who likes international thrillers.
I enjoy all of Silva’s books, the characters are fun, the plots engrossing, hard to put down. Very enjoyable. Not overly political.
Daniel Silva might be the best espionage writer in modern times. His prose is beautiful, his characters are rich, and the plots are so interesting. The Other Woman doesn’t disappoint.
Love these spy stories with Gabriel Alon, art restorer.
Silva hits a home run with every Gabriel Allon episode.
I enjoy all of Daniel Silva’s books!
I liked it …..a good attention keeper.
Quite simply, Daniel Silva just keeps getting better and better!
Typical Daniel Silva. Full of exciting adventure with Gabriel Allin and his team.
Not the author’s best. A little hard to follow.
Not as good as other Gabriel Allon books.
All his books are the same — Gabriel Allon loves one [or two] women passionately but spends most of his time saving Europe from terrorism, don’t read one after another
Silva is by far the best. Books are amazingly researched. It’s fiction you learn from. Characters are beyond well developed. Plot is intelligent. Silva is “can’t miss”.
I loved it! I have read nearly everyting Silva has written!
A little tiny bit formulaic, but still an enjoyable read.
I love each of Gabriel Allon character books, so I was expecting great adventures and yes, the book delivered.
Love all of this author’s books.
Silva continues his excellent writing around Allon the spy
Another awesome exciting story he cannot write the next one quick enough
