A very enjoyable read. This rock and roll romance mainly focused on dilemmas we face in life and how we go about trying to work our way through them. The main female character was a talented, unpretentious, strong, goal-drive, and at the same time empathetic to other’s needs and feelings. The main male character was a man of integrity and was greatly principled in his loyalty to family and the greater good.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
The Other Side of Wrong is book 3 in the Bad Decisions Series. It was able to be read as a stand alone, but reading the other books first gives you more background on the characters and what is going on to bring them to where they are now.
This book focuses on Jake, the keyboardist for Riptide, and Cassidy. Jake as taken some time off from the band to deal with some family issues, and Cassidy makes it her mission to get him to come back.
Years ago, Jake and Cassidy hit it off, but their age difference stood in the way. Now that age is no longer an issue, Cassidy is planning on getting what she wants and her eyes are set on Jake. The problem is that the family issues that pulled Jake away from the band are not going away any time soon, and with the future of the band up in the air he has some big decisions to make.
I absolutely loved ALL of these characters. The chemistry between Jake and Cassidy is off the charts and shows every time they are together. There was drama, suspense and some romance all rolled into an amazing story.
From start to finish I was hooked and could not put this book down. This is a must read book for sure. – By Alisa
The Rock Star world isn’t everything Cassidy dreamed. Still, it was her dream being fulfilled. She just needed a good guy who didn’t just want her for her fame and money. She knew a guy…
Jake loved his band. Sure they had glitches along the way–for example, their last record really put a wrong turn to their success. They needed a plan to get back on the main way.
…That guy needed a boost up to get back on his successful track. She had just the plan . A plan that gave her a chance to help him and let them get together, hopefully.
Normally, Jake would help them and himself to her sweet body. Now the personal glitch. He had to keep on the straight an narrow and represent his family’s business, something a hot lady rocker with him wouldn’t do.
Was there any way to have what he wanted — her and his music — and save his family?
This is a good read if you are a rockstar fan and a great way to become one. Fun characters and plenty of steam.

3,5* of good romance with troubled hero
Differently than in previous two parts I couldn’t so easily connect with the main characters. I already love the whole band but had issues with this couple. While I could feel the connection between them I also felt they were holding back. The whole agreement around the relationship with the expiry date was not really working for me, probably same as for the protagonists. That was less steamy and more focused on the troubles the couple and the band has been going through. Very good read and well thought through plot but I was lacking something in this one. Cannot really put a finger on what exactly was not working for me to give it whole 4*. I would love to read more about the band and bandmates in the future.
4.5 Stars
I’m always up for a rockstar romance, and The Other Side of Wrong features not one rock star but two!
Cassidy and Jake connected six years ago but Jake pulled the plug when he realized that Cassidy wasn’t quite ready for a mature relationship. But Cassidy hasn’t forgotten what they had together and neither has Jake for that matter. When she comes to him with a proposition that not only gets her arms around him, but puts him back on stage with his band Riptide, it’s a win-win for everyone.
But Jake still has some family issues to work out and his disappearance from the band has some bad feelings brewing with his bandmates. He’s going to have to resolve these issues to get what he wants — to make music and for Cassidy to be his woman.
This was a very cute story that takes off and moves quickly, which I absolutely loved about it. The pace was perfect for me. Jake and Cassidy are really good together — it all worked for me. My only complaint was that it could have been a little longer! I liked these characters!

Talk about an emotional ride in this book. It has it all: sweet romance, steamy scenes, family drama, drama, laughter, and the outpouring of friendship. Cassidy is a take charge heroine. She is a survivor who gets what she wants. Jake makes you feel so good because the does anything he can to help friends and family. And the author never fails to display a hot leading man. The friendships that have been developed and the family they have developed is pretty amazing to see. Great read from this author. She hasn’t let me down so far!!!
The Other Side of Wrong is the third book in the Bad Decision Series by Christi Barth. It was preceded by The Opposite of Wright and The Reverse of Perfection. If you love the rock star lifestyle then this series is the one for you. Each one is a standalone but they are connected through common characters. I came in to this series in book three and picked right up.
They met at a music festival. For three days they orbited around each other. Talking. Singing. Laughing. Touching. They weren’t friends or colleagues. Just two people. The attraction was instantaneous from the moment they sang along while in line for drinks. Their favorite moments occurred far from the crowds and tents…out in the desert in nothing but darkness. Their joined voices echoed off the boulders in beautiful harmony. Singing together without instruments, fans, or microphones was the one of the best experiences of their lives. That was six years ago. Six years of regret. Jake is the one who got away. Cassidy is the one he pushed away. In more ways than one, they have a second chance. The need each other. Cassidy wants to break out of the pop princess model. Jake and Riptide want to prove that they are better than their last album. Just like six years ago, Cassidy is all in but Jake…he might walk away again but this time it might be from everyone even his beloved band.
Christi Barth took me for an emotional ride in this book. You will find sweet romance, hot sex scenes, family drama (with stealing sisters and a cross-dressing father), as well as laughter and friendship. I love Cassidy’s balls-to-the-wall attitude and determination to get what she wants. She is the ultimate survivor. You can’t help but love Jake. He’s the responsible one. You know the type…the one that drops everything to help friends or family. Not to mention, he’s a smoking hot, tattooed rock star. Christi spent a lot of time developing these both the primary and secondary characters. You can feel the friendship and love that the boys of Riptide share. This is a book that you will want to read! Without hesitation, I give The Other Side of Wrong by Christi Barth 5 out of 5 propellers!

So, Jakes story is finally here. And let me tell you, his reasoning for leaving the band – not at all what I was expecting. We see so much more depth to Jake and his character, and there were many times I was frustrated at him, for making the decision he did, given his history and relationship with his family.
Cassidy is the younger girl who got away, and when she wants to connect and make a deal with the band, things start to take a life of their own. With Jake coming back for a couple of shows, the tensions with the band come right out to the forefront and need to be dealt with.
We see a lot more of the band dynamic in this one, and it’s all written really well.
I did feel that the decisions at the end were over and done with quite fast, and there wasn’t enough of an answer/resolution for me, but this series is a series of quite fast books, so I suppose that fits in with the rest.
Definitely great to learn about Jake in this one, enjoyed reading this story.
Cassidy is a famous pop star wanting to cross over into rock. Riptide, Jake’s band, is on a small, independent tour trying to improve their tarnished image after a bad business decision. Cassidy wants them to pair up on a joint tour to help both parties reach their goal. She also has a different goal in mind – finally get close to Jake, who she’s been pining after for six years.
This was a short, entertaining read. It was fun and interesting, but nothing really major happened. The conflicts with Jake’s family happened off-“screen” and we only got a retelling of events by Jake. The big bad thing that Cassidy’s sister did wasn’t even that bad. No one faced any repercussions. I did enjoy the book, but I didn’t love it.
If you want a light, fun read that is low on conflict, check out this book.
I wanted to like this book cause the blurb sounded so good. I realized very quickly that maybe I should have read the other two books before this. There’s obviously a connection with the band and between Jake and Cassidy that I missed. I’ve gathered that they had a steamy night but it was cut short. Cassidy is looking to change her image and what better way then to combine a tour with her and a rock band. She is determined to do this and will do anything possible. She has her eye on Jake. She wants closure. Jake is dealing with a crazy issue in his life. He wants to be rockstar and prove his dad wrong. His dad’s life is interfering with that. I just found this book boring. I couldn’t connect with the character and I found myself confused like I missed something big. Maybe if I read the other books first, it would have been better for me. I don’t know. Jake and Cassidy definitely have some chemistry.
This is a great addition to the Bad Decisions series!
Jake has been a cranky enigma since the very beginning, and it was nice to get to see what was really bugging him and give him a chance to pull his head out and be happy! Cassidy is a force to be reckoned with, and together they have the potential to be rock royalty – if they can figure out how to work, play and basically live together while on a mini tour.
This series is fast moving, sweet, spicy and can be read as standalones but way more fun if you read them in order!
This is the third book in this amazing series, and I have been waiting for Jack’s story. In this story we learn why Jake left his band and returned home, and now his loyalty is torn between his family and his band. Cassidy is a successful rock star, but feels something is missing from her live. When Cassidy makes an offer to Jake can he refuse? This is a well written story which is entertaining and humorous, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.

This is the story I have been waiting for since I began this series.
There has been this undercurrent of “why did Jake leave the band” right through this series, and now we get to find out.
I liked the story between Jake and Cassidy, the push/pull between them as Jake tries to do the right thing by his family, his band and by Cassidy.
I did feel though that after all the build up, the reason why he left the band was a bit… meh. I felt all “really, that’s all it was?” – but this could just be me.
I also, like Jake’s band mates, couldn’t understand why he dropped everything to help those who never helped him.
I felt that the tension between Jake, Jones and Cam was organic and they dealt with it naturally. I loved that they didn’t just say I am sorry and all was good. They needed to have it out, and they did.
However, I did feel that the ending was just… I don’t know, I was wanting more. To me it felt like there was no real resolution to anything.
I hope we do get Jones’ story in the future.
