The man I love is getting married. And it isn’t to me.I’ve been in love with Jonathan for as long as I can remember. I loved him as a girl. I loved him as a teenager. I loved him as an adult. I love him still. But he doesn’t love me. How could he? He’s a billionaire and I’m just the butler’s daughter. But when I attend a party in my Gucci dress and fancy heels, he sees me in a whole new light. And … whole new light.
And it couldn’t have come at a worse time. His high-powered wedding is in two weeks.
It falls to his older brother, Christopher, to protect Jonathan from himself. As always. And this time, that means spiriting me away and tempting me with my dream job on a tropical island.
Here, I learn that Christopher is so much more than I ever gave him credit for. He gets me in a way no man ever has. His body completes me in ways I didn’t even know possible. And the way he looks at me makes me think he could be the one.
I’ve always been in love with Jonathan, but now that I’ve been with Christopher, I find I can’t choose. Some people go their whole lives without finding one love of their life. Now I have to decide between two.

This is a good story, it’s well-written with an interesting storyline, I really battled to get into the story was quite slow but finally I got into the story. I honestly wasn’t that fond of Nora in the beginning but she did grow on me and I really my heart felt sore for her. The brothers were both incredibly self-serving but learnt to open their hearts. Plenty of drama and emotion in this story.
4 1/2 stars
As soon as I read the blurb, I thought of the movie Sabrina. I loved that film and knew I had to read this story. It didn’t disappoint.
Nora has spent her life watching Jonathan and dreaming of a life where she lives in his world. Nora wants to be part of his world just like Ariel did with Eric but just like in that story barriers stand in her way. For one, Jonathan doesn’t even know she exists! Until one day he suddenly sees her.
But while she was watching Jonathan, someone was watching Nora. Enter Christopher. He realises that Jonathan is now showing an interest in Nora and this doesn’t bode well for the deal in progress. So what does he do? Take the distraction away. Nora and Christopher begin to see one another in a different light. But is it real or simply a ploy to keep her away from Jonathan?
This was a fun story with great characters and entertaining interactions. I wish there was more to read. Christopher was a great protagonist with his stern attitude. It was nice to see him loosen up and enjoy the spoils of his hard work. It would be great to see the back story of the characters when they were younger. I think it would be so much fun!

Nora, the butler’s daughter has grown up with Jonathan and Christopher but has secretly been in love with Jonathan for a very long time. Now that word has gotten out that Jonathan is getting married she comes home with the hopes that maybe he will finally see the woman she’s become… only problem is everyone is working overtime to keep her away from him.
Christopher, the older brother steps in and takes Nora to a Caribbean island as part of keeping her from Jonathan and for her expertise on running a hotel that he is thinking of purchasing.
Sparks fly, connections change between Christopher and Nora, but through it all will they realize that they belong together?? Great read!
Krista Lakes has been a favorite author for a long time. The Kisses Series started it all for me and I own almost all her books. I really liked this storyline even though I typically dislike triangle romances. This one was tastefully written. But I have mixed feelings about this book. I didn’t like Nora at the beginning. She was too immature. I never got a clear direction of her age since she was so childish in her infatuation with Jonathan, but more mature when she was with Christopher. Once Christopher stepped in, the book got MUCH better. I loved how the book ended. Since I had started enjoying the read, I wasn’t ready for it to end!
*I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.
Great book!! Nora, the butler’s daughter, has had a crush on the youngest son, Jonathan, for years. Even though she’s been right in front of him, he’s never seen her. When she goes back home, the unthinkable happens! He finally sees her & is paying attention!! Is this her chance?
Christopher has known for years about Nora’s crush on his younger brother. The whole estate has known. Now, Jonathan is paying attention & Christopher has to keep them apart. Jonathan is engaged & a business deal hinges on the relationship. How hard can it be? After all, he knows her better than anyone.
This was a really good book. The love triangle really seemed the work in this case. Jonathan wouldn’t be a good match for Nora. She was just too used to her crush to look around. I was actually a little irritated by her total fixation on the wrong man but it’s because I felt Christopher was the better match for her from the beginning. I love Ms. Lakes’s books. She has great character development & they are always enjoyable to read.
