Good summer read. Sweet story.
I absolutely loved this book. Historical fiction to me. Very compelling.
heart warming — very good
a very realistic view of England during the war. Unforgettable characters
Beautiful story of the devotion of sisters living during World WarII.
Good book
Just simply a good book.
Realistic account of people and reactions to circumstances. Realistic characters. Dad parts and happy parts.
Well written but sad . Well researched.. The ending was not happyever after but at least upbeat
The love the sisters had for each other was inspirational.
Enjoyed the book, close to the real stuf.
It had many turns and surprises in the story. I felt like I was there listening to characters as they tried to live through such a tragic time.
Loved the book. Found it very interesting in reading about how the civilians in this town dealt with bombing and attacks during war time.. how English people carried on their daily routines in an ugly time in history. I was disappointed the book ended. But glad it was a stand alone book. Definitely a good read
I could not put it down .
A tear jerker, but a really good tear jerker.
