When collegiate baseball phenom Chase Fulton suffers a freak injury on the field that shatters his dreams of becoming a Major League catcher, his future looks bleak until he’s recruited into quasi-governmental covert operations, where his training as an assassin and covert intelligence operative launches him into a world fraught with danger, intrigue, and unexpected passion. As Chase navigates … the Caribbean, he’s pursued by a beautiful Russian SVR officer who is trained and prepared to find, interrogate, and kill him if necessary. I couldn’t put this down. The second in this great new series will be published very soon, I hear. So, get caught up now. If you like Mitch Rapp, you’ll like Chase Fulton.
Excellent writing, well-edited.A lot of fun
Very solid start to the series. Lots of action and adventure, a lot of boating terminology and lingo and some romance thrown in for good measure. It will be interesting to see where the series goes from here.
Good story
I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books in this series.
Entertaining
Excellent spy novel. Great characters. Fast moving
I am totally enjoying this entire Chase Fulton series. They are fast reads and thoroughly entertaining!!
One of my favorite books.Well done. Like popcorn it leaves you wanting more!
The opening is action-packed… but it’s not what you think! That inventive beginning sucked me in. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
The first book of a terrific series. Mr Daniels reeled me in from the first page!
This book is about a man who gets recruited into a secret society of killers.
The book is another silly, super hero book but his devotion to and description of sailing touches a nerve for me.
What a life-change for Chase. He had quite a ride. I like the sailing stuff. The characters pop in and out of his life and don’t get developed much. I guess that may be what was intended. I liked it.
Entertaining, but the main character is morally inconsistent. Upset over killing a vile predator who traffics in young girls, including rape/molestation, feeling as if he has done something immoral, killing a human being, even though he probably saved the lives of many young girls who would have been trafficked by the monster. Yet he also killed two men who were trainers at “The Ranch”, men who may have had wives and children, but feels comfortable with it because he warned them he would kill them if they didn’t reveal (against their orders, certainly) that they were trainers, and not enemy combatants. Also, the many mistakes, missteps, and poor performance of this very well-trained man who supposedly exhibited an incredible aptitude for dealing with difficult situations simply rang untrue (no I didn’t expect superhuman perfection from the character). Just inconsistent and unbelievable.
I like this book a lot
Very violent
Not enough action to have me read more than a few chapters
Entertaining and holds your attention.
Stretching the imagination a bit with the ability to go from the hunted/hunter to lovers and giving up your country and your deep commitment so easily. A lot of luck to be a survivor of so many attempts on his life. Probably will not read any of the other books in this series.
