A missing baby. A teenage mother suspected of murder. A jaded detective whose reputation is on the line. A signing gorilla destined for the auction block. A scientist who is about to lose everything. Will the revelation that a gorilla is the only witness to the crime save or doom everyone involved? The character of Neema, the fictional signing gorilla, in this series is based largely on everything … everything the author has read about Koko, the real signing gorilla, and studies of chimpanzees who have learned sign language.

This book was fantastic
Throughly entertaining and informative. Makes you wonder what other animals could do if we only worked with them
Such a great, unique story!
A unique story
Great book….something to think about in more ways than one.
Very interesting and original idea, well thought out and developed.
This is a great story!! Who ‘d have thought of making enthralling and exciting stories about communicating apes???? Can HIGHLY recommend this!!!
I really enjoyed learning about the signing gorillas having read some of it in the news. This was very in depth and also about the culture of the gorillas. The crime solving end was interesting also. The police work was easy to follow & realistic. I felt empathy for the young Mother & how she conducted herself thru out the story. The families …
Wonderfully written, keeps you wanting to read more…
Great character development. The plot twists and turns. An absolute delight
Delightful and involving.
Hooked on this author!
Loved it
Good story, good ending. Unusual character saves the day.
A fun read! Kept my interest.
Such a creative and unique premise. I learned a great deal about signing and gorillas and who couldn’t root for Neema and her trainer Grace, certainly unusual crime solvers. Wonderful characters and a terrific read.
Definitely different in a good way. Had me rooting for the characters.
I liked it.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this unique story.
Clever premise, not too badly written. Unlike some too-clever mysteries, I could figure things out before the characters did. And loved the animals.
