I was granted an ARC of Maria La Serra’s “The One & Only (A Clean Billionaire Romance) (The One Love Book 1)” via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
This type of book is one of my favorites! Enemies to lovers plus an office romance, a winner in my book!!
Greg is the boss’s son and the one to take over. His dad wants to do more with the company. He puts him and Staci together for a new feature. This is when it gets interesting.. Staci despies Greg for something that happened 6 yrs ago but the more she spends time with him, she sees a different side to him. Greg was the spoiled rich kid, never really caring about anyone but himself. He’s had luck with the ladies but he’s ready to settle down with the one and only.. Staci is feisty, which I loved so feeling much. She kept him on his toes, that’s for sure. This book was fun to read and I loved the characters as well!
This was an ok read. It was really hard to get into the story because of Staci. I found her to be a pill and really unlikeable.
Maria La Serra has done it again. She has brought us another amazing story.
In The One and Only we meet Greg and Staci. I loved the banter between the two. It’s an enemies-to-lovers/second chance romance you won’t be able to put down. With multiple laugh-out-loud moments you’ll be rooting for these two to make it work and asking for more!
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to dig into Book 2!
Just One Look by Maria La Serra is book One in The One Love Series. This is the story of Greg McAdams and Staci Cortés.
Staci has a dating column with a very popular magazine but she wants to reach out to more serious columns. Staci’s boss does end up putting her on a new magazine but she soon learns she will be working with his son. Staci and Greg rub each other the wrong way until they end up rubbing each other too good.
Easy quick romance read.
Well I did enjoy the book and all because of Greg. I did not like Staci and I was disappointed with her the majority of story actually to be truthful the whole story. I thought that after a while I would get to like her or that she would grab a clue but she never redeemed herself in my eyes. Now Greg totally different story he was such a sweet heart and we read how he knew that when he was younger he was a jerk and he totally had a turn around from that so why did he like Staci she was not nice to him at all and she never showed that she was different I couldn’t understand why he would want a relationship with her, but it is what it is, liked her friend she was cool to and even Staci’s family it was only her that I disliked..
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
This was my first Maria La Serra book, but I’d definitely won’t be my last! I loved watching Staci & Greg’s banter! It was the perfect way to drive up the tension between the two of them. I really enjoyed how Greg was all about Staci, even though she was fighting her feelings.
