Lucas landed his dream job working public relations for bands in LA, and to kick off his new life, he allows himself a scorching one night stand with a sexy stranger. The only problem? The stranger turns out to be his most famous client. Working this closely together will be hard, but it turns out keeping their hands off of each other is harder. Can Lucas resist his rockstar’s charisma and stick … stick to the one night plan? If he can’t, can he convince the rockstar of a new plan: love?

Nicky may be the drummer to the Boyfriend of the Loveless, but he’s not as visible as his band mate, Ryan. He’s more laid back, allowing Ryan to take the lead. That doesn’t mean he goes unnoticed. He just wishes there was someone who wanted to get to know him for who HE is and not for the band or to get to Ryan. Cue Lucas…
What started as a one night stand, turned into fate playing its hand. Turns out, Lucas is their PR agent. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they pick up where they left off. Despite developing feelings, Nicky doesn’t date, and Lucas wants more. This is the crux of the angst in the book, and what ultimately comes between them.
Nicky has some inner demons he’s battling, which has caused some codependency between him and his best friend (and bandmate) Ryan. We see a side of Ryan, in this book, that we haven’t seen much of previously. Seeing how this was Nicky’s story, I was surprised at that. Ultimately, Nick has to decide what he really wants for himself, and if he’s strong enough to go after it.
Lucas is my favorite character out of this book, and I’m not afraid to say it. He is sweet, patient, understanding, and not afraid to speak up for what he wants. I felt like Nicky knew he was a great guy, the whole time, and that he’s worth any risk, but Nicky couldn’t get out of that headspace. I wanted to shake him…several times. Shake him, then hug him.
This is book three in a series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Reading book two may give you more of a look into Ryan and Nicky’s relationship, but as stated earlier, this book gives us a totally different view of Ryan, and also Nicky’s perspective.
Overall, I enjoyed reading about Nicky and Lucas’s story. Since Lucas’ friends, Ari and Shane, are from another series, I wonder if we’ll be seeing more in the future. Who knows? I’m glad I read this series. It was fun, and I’d definitely recommend it going in your TBR list.

The book starts off explosive and it only gets better as the relationship between the MCs progresses!
Both the plot and the emotional tangles between the characters had great structure. The author made the story very realistic and believable and the progression of the relationship was really well done!
A relatively quick read but well worth it and a great addition to the series.
This was a quick read for me. Fast and furious! Nicky and Lucas meet at a bar and have a one-night stand. Lucas was new to town; he had no idea who Nicky was. They meet later that night when Lucas has come to see Nicky’s band play with his friends. Fast forward 9 months and they meet again when Lucas has become their PR. This was a fun story, full of sexy times with some romance and angst. Loved it!!
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
The One Night Plan was short, sexy, hot and filled with best friend angst. I love that their meet-cute, really was cute and was more than one chance. Lucas was steady and ready for a boyfriend and Nicky needed to find his way there. I really liked their dates, each of the telling us more about the men that they are. The story was adorable and there was some growth and boundaries to be had. I definitely recommend this book.
The One Night Plan by Riley Long is the third book in The Crushing series. This is a rockstar contemporary m/m romance that was such a fun read. Nicky and Lucas are sexy together. All the characters are great – funto get to know. The story has angst, humor and romance. Loved it!
Lucas needs to keep his head down and focus on his new job, not on his new client who happens to be his hot one night stand…
Nicky cannot get his mind off Lucas, whom he spent the hottest night of his life with. And what this rockstar wants, he gets. But the question is, will he be able to keep Lucas once Lucas gives into their powerful chemistry? Not if he cannot figure out the boundaries Lucas tells him (among others) he needs to keep behind with his closest friend, Ryan.
As rockstar romances go, this story is great. It’s sexy and reading about a playboy being brought to his knees by love is always entertaining.
