This book had me wanting to yell & laugh. The doubts and feelings that went on in this book, anybody can relate to. It really was a good book. You MUST read it. I think Sean is my new favorite!!!
If you’re reading through the reviews trying to decide if you should read this book or not, let me tell you to stop right now. There should be no debating it. You need to run over to what ever platform you read on and one click it!!
The love for Sean & Devney is very real. Devney is the strongest woman I’ve read about in a long time. She has had to make some of the toughest decisions possible& live with the consequences. She’s brave, smart, selfless and one amazing woman.
Oh Sean. He’s just perfect. He’s been claimed by so many ladies as one of their top book boyfriends.
No need to read any further. It’s time to grab your favorite snack, drinks curl up in the most comfortable reading spot and dive in. Oh and make sure to tell your family & friends to leave you alone. This is one of those binge reading books.
The One For Me is the third book in the Arrowood Brothers and it’s a beautiful friends to lovers romance.
Sean and Devney were best friends since they were kids.
They know everything about each other. And they both love each other but don’t want to admit it.
This series is one of my favorites and Sean is now my favorite Arrowood brother. This book is so beautifully written.
Love Sean. I’m glad that he finally admitted his love for his best friend and fought for their love.
Devney is a strong woman. Love her character.
She is hiding a big secret and doesn’t know how Sean will react when he finds out.
This book was an emotional roller coaster. There was so many obstacles but glad that they overcame everything and that they had their HEA.
I’m sad that there is just one Arrowood brother left. Next is Jacob and can’t wait to read how he falls in love.
My Rating:
At the end of a romance novel, you should feel, completely connected with the characters and have a longing for a love the like theirs. The One For Me did that for me.
This is one of the sweetest stories, I’ve read for the year. Sean and Devney make an awesome pair. From the bond they have, the chemistry and wittyiness made me devoured this book.!!!!!!!
Author Corinne Michaels broke the mold with Sean Arrowood. Seriously, he’s everything, totally swooning over him
I liked the pace of the story, it was witty, sexy and very funny. The Arrowood bunch keeps, you guessing, crying and laughing.
This one followed a few tropes, so hang in there.
Friends to lovers, Secret baby, family drama – this one has it all!
First, it was a friend to lovers story. Dev and Sean have been friends since childhood, and while they both left town for a bit, she’s returned, and he only comes home occasionally when he’s not traveling as a hot shot baseball player.
Dev is home from college, and you get the sense that something happened there, and it’s not really confirmed until much later in the book. There’s angst between Dev and her mother, between Dev and Sean, who wants her as more than a friend, but lives in another state. Then there’s Dev’s other relationships. She’s is a super aunt to her brother’s kid…but then things change and you end up with revealed secrets, family trauma, family drama, and a story that really grips you until the end.
I haven’t read the first two books in this series, but will be going back to those soon!
4.5 Stars
The One For Me is the third title in The Arrowood Brothers series featuring Sean Arrowood.
Sean and Devney’s story is an emotional and angsty friends to lovers romance. It’s a small town romance with strong themes of family and friendship, and whilst it’s sweet, and romantic it’s also quite an emotional read that’s sure to pull at your heartstrings.
Sean and Devney have been best friends since childhood, and always been there for each other, not even time or distance could break the bond they share.
Sean is a professional baseball player, who is determined and driven to get Devney to see him as more than her best friend whilst he is tied to the family farm. He’s patient, but not afraid to go after what he wants or of rejection.
Both Devney and Sean have a secret, but Devney’s secret keeps her tied to Sugarloaf. She’s sweet, resilient, strong and fun, and I loved that she’s not afraid to put Sean in his place.
The connection this pair shares is undeniable, and I loved how well they knew and accepted each other, faults and all.
I look forward to reading the final Arrowood brother, Jacob’s story next.
Always love all of Corinne’s books. They all have a special place in my heart and can peal back the layers of heart break then mend it with hope and love like no other. Of course Sean and Devney’s story is no different. Best friends and at some point see each other through different eyes. But, they have alot of secrets and of course life’s twists and turns to go through before realizing they are each other’s soul mates. Once of the things I love about Corinne’s characters – is they are REAL…with REAL problems … REAL life! Recommend to everyone.
Hot damn!! This book, Sean Arrowood, nearly did me in!! I love him so much, the ultimate book boyfriend. His soul bleeds onto these pages, while being the favorite brother to date! I’m a complete sucker for friends to lovers romances so Devney and Sean’s story completely wrecked me! There was so much to delve into, to be utterly absorbed in. Layer after layer, Devney and Sean peeled away all the reasons why they shouldn’t and couldn’t be together to reveal their hearts to one another. It was GLORIOUS! Every page, I was a goner!! Corinne Michaels slayed me, Sean melted me, and I’m just going to sit with it for a hot minute!!
I hadn’t read a book in weeks and I honestly didn’t know how long it’d take me until I finally picked a book up and stayed invested. There are books that once you start reading hold your attention until the very end. That was indeed the case when I started The One for Me, I knew from the first page that I’d finish this book in one sitting.
I am completely and utterly gone. I thought the Arrowood brothers had me before, but that was nothing in comparison to Sean, he shot his arrow right to my heart and claimed me, soul and all.
“I want us and you and everything that comes with that. I want to kiss you good night, wake up with you beside me, and love you the way you deserve. So, I’ll wait for your heart to be ready because mine is ready enough for the both of us.” <——— that is just one of the many reasons I fell so hard for Sean. And I’m not lying when I say there’s so much more where that came from. He wore his heart on his sleeve and didn’t care to show his emotions. He was patient, I loved the way he loved Devney and how caring he was towards her, but above everything I loved their friendship so much and the fact that no matter what he would always be there for her. Sean left me a swoony mess and I don’t think I’ll recover anytime soon. He’s such a dreamboat—I love him, I love him, I love him. Devney tore me apart. There are things she’s going through that all I wanted was to hug her so tight. She’s trying her best to move on and be the best version of herself she can be. She’s strong and so selfless and would do everything and anything for the people she loves. Her friendship with Sean is so beautiful and their love, transcends all. You knew right from the beginning how much Sean and Devney loved each other. It was fact that the love between these two was wholly and complete. They were irrevocably made solely for each other. I felt their love in my bones, I wanted to bottle it up and let nothing touch it. These two beautiful souls were everything exquisite and they left me yearning for just a fraction of that effortless love they shared. The One for Me was a friends to lovers romance at its finest. It had all those feel good feelings that left you brimming with happiness and smiling so big from ear-to-ear. And it wouldn’t be Corinne if she didn’t bring that emotional gut wrenching punch that’ll have you in tears and a crumbling mess. I’m telling you, I don’t know how, but Corinne continuously one ups herself with each book in this series. The Arrowood brothers are the best of the best, but Sean Arrowood is in a league of his own and there’s no doubt that he’s THE BEST EVER! I dare you not to fall head-over-heels in love with this exceptional man. No question you’ll lose that dare in a second, trust. Knowing that the next book in this series is the last will be so bittersweet, but I need it and I can only imagine what Jacob will have me feeling.
This is Book 3 of The Arrowood Brothers Series
This is the story of Sean & Devney. Sean is a baseball player. Devney works for her friend as an office manager. Sean is back for six months before he goes back to Florida for his baseball team. They’ve been best friends for years. They realize they have more feelings than being best friends for forever. Sean finally realizes he wants to pursue it. Devney has mixed feelings because she doesn’t want to lose his friendship, and because he lives so far away. I love these characters, especially Sean. He just doesn’t want to give up, and he almost does. There are twist and turns in this story. It’s a tear jerker for sure, and right after that it’s laughing out loud funny, then back to solving the problem they have. Corinne’s writing is the best. It always gets you hooked into the story. It’s a great book. I can’t wait for the last brother’s story.
The One for Me is one of my favorite books of all time !! Definitely my favorite Arrowood Brother. Which to be honest I loved them all however I fell in love with Sean on page one. Page One you all!!! He grabbed my heart right from the start and wouldn’t let go. Sean & Devney together is pure magic, their romance is what everyone dreams of, their chemistry is off the charts. All. The. Feels.
I hope you love The One for Me as much as I did. I truly believe you will!

You guys!!! It was perfect!! Sweet, sexy , swoony, and just amazing!! I am head over heels in love with each and every Arrowood brother and the women that steal their hearts. Seriously, this one left me with a giant smile on my face and flutters in my belly. Friends to lovers like it’s never been done, I this one checked all of my boxes!!
Do You often wonder what it would be like to live life full of love for the one person you were supposed to be with and didn’t know it? Of course not.. for most people anyway, but these two just clicked for me. Perfect and sad and full of love and friendship. Beautifully written, with a great ending. Loved this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author.
Ok ya’all. Those who have read Corrine Michaels (if there are any, she rocks!) you know her books. They will grip you by the throat, cause a tornado of emotions, and unsure what will happen next. This book was not only unput-a-downable, it was unpredictable. It was a great get away for the moment you start this book. I am an avid reader of romance, but I know when I hear that Corrine Michaels has a book coming, I am there!
Devney and Sean….I loved these two. I was caught up in their moments, uncertainties, their love, the complications, the what ifs. I ripped through each page to get to the end. And of course I felt it ended too soon (it is not a short story, but…. I need more!)
I highly recommend this beauty to have on your e-reader or book shelf. You have to read this story as soon as you can!!!
Corinne Michaels never disappoints, and her Arrowood Brothers series just keeps getting better and better! Friends to lovers is a favorite trope of mine, and pair that with a baseball player and I’m IN! I loved Devney and Sean together- swoon!
So far this is my favorite of the Arrowood brothers books. Sean and Devney have been friends forever and are just perfect for each other. They both are a little surprised when they admit that the feeling of more has always been there. They both tried hard to ignore those feelings as they where scared it would ruin their friendship if things didn’t work out. I kind of love the Sean was the first to want to admit his feelings and try for a relationship. They both found out that they had each kept a major secret from the other but where able to understand the reasons why the secrets where kept. Sean is just amazing and in touch with his feelings in a way a lot of men are not. He is loving and supportive of not only Devney but the rest of his family as well. They both just have amazing personalities. This book will pull in your emotions and is so hard to put down. This is definitely a must read especially if you like raw and real characters.
When I heard that Corinne Michaels was writing a friends-to-lovers book, I was ecstatic! That trope is my jam and it always makes me swoon. Add the Arrowood brothers into that mix and I was for sure ready for it. Sean Arrowood and Devney Maxwell have been best friends since they were kids and have never crossed that line. Sean is a baseball player in Florida and Dev works in Sugarloaf, their hometown. But when Dev suddenly finds herself single and Sean is back in Sugarloaf fulfilling his promise he made with his brothers, those lines get crossed. The One For Me had me grinning so damn much! Corinne packed this one with Easter eggs, characters from her other books, as well as characters from other books that you may have read! The character development in this book was amazing, because Sean is very different from his brother’s. He is not as stubborn or single-minded, and I think that comes with knowing who he’s dealing with. Devney is not one to be told or even encouraged what to do. She has sacrificed so much in her life, she deserves to go at her own pace. Sean is also incredibly understanding in every curve ball life throws him and Devney. He is so patient and kind and loving and amazing and *insert heart eye emojis here*. Corinne truly broke me apart and put me back together again with this one. The twists in this one took my breath away, and how everyone dealt with and grew because if them was truly beautiful.
Sean and Devney have been best friends nearly their whole lives, since she was a little girl and he was a little boy. Now well into adulthood, has the time come for Sean to act upon his more than friendly feelings for the only woman he’s ever loved? If he does, will it ruin their beautiful friendship?
Dang, the angst was high in this one! But I really liked this true best friends to lovers story. Sean and Devney had a lot to get through, a lot of obstacles in their way, but really, their main obstacle was themselves. They just had to let themselves be together without constantly questioning themselves. I may have wanted to shake them both at different points, but could understand where each was coming from. The true high point in the story for me, though, is Sean. He’s so sweet, so freakin’ swoony. By far my favorite character. I liked the secondary characters, too, and found Devney perfect for her best friend/soulmate.
The 3rd standalone in the Arrowood Brothers series is here! This friends-to-lovers small-town romance features a swoony hero, buried secrets, and in true Corinne Michaels fashion, it will get you in the feels. Available now on all retailers.
A super enjoyable friends to lovers read. Super sexy, super swoony, my favourite of the series so far!
