This book is emotional, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!

I felt like I had been waiting for Sean and Devney FOREVER, and finally they were with me. HERE, to fall in love with, to watch fumble, get their hearts broken, soar, and build off of a lifelong friendship. An attachment that did not need explaining, it just was. A friendship so strong that nothing could get between it…right? GAH let’s hope. I loved EVERYTHING about Sean. He to me, was absolute book boyfriend perfection. Devney was awesome, but if I am being honest my heart was held in the capable large, baseball wielding hands of Sean. Together they sizzled. The chemistry, the connection, the absolute strength in their love was beyond…I love this series. I want more, and then I want more after that. Maybe their jerk dad had another family?? The kids need a story? One more brother, and I am already jonzing for that!! Gah. lovelovelove. xo

The One for Me is a stunning and captivating love story. A friends-to-lovers romance is powerfully moving, beautifully inspiring, emotionally raw, and breathtakingly romantic. An unforgettable masterpiece delivered with so much heart and soul that I fell deeper in love with the characters and their journey with each turn of the page. Sean and Devney have an intense and unbreakable bond – true soulmates. No matter how hard they try to deny it, the hearts wants what it wants and they are powerless to stop the fall. These two are magical together! The storyline is incredibly well-written, flowed poetically and was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I could feel everything the characters experienced; they radiated from the pages. I laughed, cried so many tears (happy and sad), felt the butterflies, the heart palpitations, every ounce of pain and all the joy. The heartfelt moments stole my breath and the heartbreaking ones shattered my heart. Oh, and those swoon-worthy moments – absolutely breathtaking! A powerful and poignant story of love, faith and taking chances that I didn’t want to end. The unconditional love and support of family and friends is beyond words. The wisdom interlaced throughout was inspiring. I absolutely loved every second of this epic love story and have a new all-time favorite. The One for Me will forever leave a mark on my heart and soul. I’m truly in awe of this story and I would give it 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend reading this book as well as the other books in this interconnected series!!!

The Arrowood Brothers 3rd book is another great story. The first two books in about the Arrowood
brothers are heart warming and sexy. The 3rd book Sean Arrowood’s story is just as good but has
a bit of a different twist. Devney and Sean are life long friends. When they do decided to become
a couple the story takes off. The sweetness of Sean and protective nature toward Devney is off
the charts. He is a swoon worthy character and I really enjoyed this story. Another great read
by Corinne Michaels.

This is probably my favorite book of 2020 and may be top one or two from Corinne Michaels.

Corinne Michaels out does herself with every book that she writes and this one is no different. She throws everything at you in the book. Rip your heart out angst, laughs and smiles, and then the curve calls that she always throws into the mix.

Sean is tender, caring and just all around amazing. He has been friends with Devney all of his life – she will always be his best friend or so he thinks. Now, she is preparing to marry someone else and it has finally hit home that he may lose her and their friendship.

Devney has always loved Sean. He has always looked after and protected her, but now she is preparing for her wedding and knows things are going to change. Everyone in their lives see what is going on between Sean and Devney, but they are a little hard headed and keep insisting that their just friends.

So, what happens when they share a kiss? Do they face feelings that are actually there? Plus, when secrets come to light, how will it change things between Sean and Devney?

This is one book by Corinne Michaels that you must grab. You will not be disappointed.

A 3.5 stars friends-to-lovers story that will have you falling deep for an Arrowood brother.

Sean Arrowood and Denvey Maxwell has been the best of friends since they were six years old. Along the way Sean fell in love with Denvey (and she is not aware how deep his feeling run) and is determined to prove to her how much more he wants to be with her. One setback is that they both live in different towns and live different lifestyles. Plus, being more than friends can possibly make or break their relationship if something were to go wrong. To add, besties tell each other everything; right? Secrets will eventually come out.

The Arrowood sayings are ones that have you thinking more and in different perspectives. As they get to know more of each other they discover things that they least expected. Just when you think things may be heading in the direction for more a tragedy hits that becomes the game changer. The question is whether this change will make or break their growing connection for more and/or even their friendship when all is revealed, said, and done.

This is the first book I have read in the The Arrowood Brothers series and one that has me planning to go back to read more of this family of brothers.

Corinne Michaels’ The One for Me . . . this book gutted me. I sobbed for half of the book. Sad tears, happy tears and every emotion in between!. Seriously, this is one of the most emotional books I have ever read, but it’s such a gorgeous story!

Best friends who were always meant to be more, but were afraid to ruin what they have. When Sean and Devney were finally ready to take the leap, with one kiss that changed everything, life threw a curveball no one could have possibly seen coming and all of their plans are sent into a tailspin that seems to be insurmountable.

Both are broken apart, but can’t find a way to make together work.

Honestly, Devney is such a pure soul. The things she has done and the ways she has always put others first is gorgeous and unbelievable. And, Sean, he has always known she is his person and so much more than best friends. Devney knows it too, but needs convincing to move out of the friendzone. Sean does so much growing up in this book. He’s an absolute rock. An amazing friend, lover and more.

I adored the Arrowood brothers’ relationships as they banter and support one another. And, Devney’s girlfriends were pretty awesome as well.

You need a whole box of tissues for this book. For real, don’t read in public because, I can tell you my heart was torn apart and then put back together again all in the span of a few hundred pages.

MY MUSINGS:
I have loved each and every one of this New York Times bestselling author’s novels—Corinne Michaels writes high octane, homespun romantic sagas like a CHAMP–but this small-town tale is now officially one of my all-time faves by her. Why you may ask? Well, the childhood best friends trope is always irresistible to me and when you throw in a rural small-town backdrop and a homecoming sports theme into the mix, then you’ve got a SUREFIRE WINNER on your hands!

As for what I personally enjoyed MOST about this book? Everyfreakingthing! This beautifully crafted, brilliantly penned book–—the third standalone installment in Ms. Michaels’ Arrowood Brothers series–has the perfect blend of heart-tugging drama, warmth and whimsy, sizzling hotness and homespun charm to leave readers spellbound!

Devney and Sean are MAGICAL together. This is a couple that you invest in and who are SO DESERVING of happiness! I love their playful flirty banter and relish how they have forged such a rock solid kinship over the years—they have ALWAYS been each other’s safe place –but their feelings for each other far surpass platonic friendship. It’s abundantly clear to the reader– and to a besotted Sean–that these two are a match made in heaven. It just takes his sweet, headstrong girl a little longer to come around. But when she does holy moly is it GLORIOUS! They exude so much sparkling chemistry they could light up the night sky, and once they finally give into temptation, it’s explosive!

Oh my heart! Sean Arrowood is the ultimate swoony book boyfriend wrapped up in devastatingly handsome, mouthwateringly musclebound package! And take it from me, it’s impossible NOT to fall for this sweet-talking baseball hottie because he’s just so devilishly charming, chivalrous and sexy, and so fiercely devoted to “Shrimpy” that your heart will burst at the seams! Baseball might be his first love but Devney’s the center of his world and he covets her with every breath of he takes. As such, he’s determined to win her heart, at all costs, but he has endured his own share of pain in his life and knows she’s wrestling with a lot even if she’s not being completely upfront with him. Regardless he vows to be there for his soulmate through thick and thin. All the while bringing his A-Game to convince her to give them a chance! Bottom line? I just truly worshipped this hero with every beat of my hopelessly smitten heart.

Not to be outdone, Delaney is EQUALLY ENDEARING. Beautiful and brave, sweet and sassy, strong and resilient, she’s spent the last 9 years trying to atone for the sins of her past but it has NOT been easy. For Devney has been keeping a shameful secret that’s kept her in Sugarloaf that could mean game over for her and Sean. But even so, as hard as she tries to fight her feelings for her hunky best friend, her resolve begins to melt because of the potent magnetic pull she feels for the guy who has always been her rock. Her security. The guy who supports her through good times and bad. And let me just say he has a set of broad shoulders that any red-blooded gal would be lucky to lean on. Not to mention two big, brawny arms that are just aching to hold her and cuddle her close!

However, she can’t quite shake off the demons from her past and what she’s SACRIFICED in the name of love shattered my heart to smithereens. But through the course of the story she comes to see that she’s not alone and there is no shame in unburdening your soul to those who care about you the most. Most especially the best friend who kisses like a dream and who would move heaven and earth to be with you.

And, if the stars align, this dynamic duo WILL be each other’s end game! But watch out because Corinne Michaels is the reigning Queen of Ugly Cry romances, and she truly lived up to that title in this book! Because just when you think these two are going to be waving the victory flag…BAM! …she pulverizes us with another gut-wrenching twist that changes EVERYTHING! Sob! This wickedly talented author definitely puts the characters through the emotional wringer. Yet despite everything, these two never turn their backs on each other. Speaking of which, Sean’s surprising reaction to her big bombshell that’s been haunting her for all these years made me adore him even more!

The secondary cast was stellar as well. Between the warm fuzzy, heart-tugging feels I got in bonding scenes with Devney, Sean and her adorable nephew Austin (gah what a little heartbreaker Austin is!), and the belly laugh-inducing moments with the close-knit Arrow Brothers, who were constantly giving each other hell, I was on cloud nine!

Ultimately, Corinne Michaels knocked it out of the park with this tumultuous, tender-hearted tale, which celebrates love, sacrifice, family, friendship and forgiveness in all its beautifully messy glory. THE ONE FOR ME truly wrecked me in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY, and when all was said and done, I found myself crying buckets when these beloved characters finally made each other’s dreams come true.

A MUST read!

The One for Me is Sean’s story. All the Arrowood brothers returned to to Sugarloaf after their father died. Each brother has to spend 6 months living on their family farm.. It’s Now Sean’s turn. Sean is a professional baseball player. Devney is his best friend from childhood. They both left Suagrloaf for college, but only Devney came back to live. Now that Sean is back in town he wants to see if there more to their relationship than just friendship. Devney is scared to take that first step into becoming a couple. She doesn’t want to lose her friend when he leaves, and she knows that he will leave. I enjoyed watching their friendship grow and expand to more. There were some emotional parts to this story that took me by surprise, but I absolutely loved the story. I can’t wait to read Jacob’s story.

I must say that I have not read all the author’s books, I met Corinne Michaels thanks to Consolation.
Liam is absolutely one of the author’s favourite characters, but Sean is currently competing for the podium with him.

Sean is a sexy, bossy, proud guy. He’s a great brother, friend and uncle that all the nieces and nephews would love. But we’re not here to list all of Sean’s strengths. I mean, we’re talking about the book…

Sean loves Devney more than anything, he’s sure of his love for this woman and he knows that to have her by his side, he has to let her go. You’re gonna say, what? But it doesn’t make sense what I’m writing.
And instead I’ll tell you, it does, just go and read the book and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Sean is determined to do whatever it takes to win Devney’s heart, a woman who’s been through hell and is still struggling to get out.
When Sean becomes part of her life again, he’s ready to show her how perfect they are together.
Their love is something wonderful.

Corinne Michaels’ books are always pleasant to read, her stories are always full of romance and passion and defines the love we should all seek.
This novel is part of a series and it’s the third in the queue, I haven’t read the first two, but fortunately for me Corinne writes stand alone, so I didn’t have much trouble getting back to the previous books.
