Being an omega on a space station is risky. Especially on a station that has illegal activities hosted by your boss…and he decided you’d make a good prize for the Alphas…“She felt his fingers on the back of her head, trailing lightly along her body all the way to the swell of her ass. She arched, trying to press up into his touch, but he removed his hand only to bring it down in a sharp slap … sharp slap against her bottom.
Brie jumped, more out of surprise than pain as he told her, “That was for growling at me. I don’t suggest you do it again, because next time you’re punishment will be much worse.”
This is Book 1 in the Sci-fi Omegaverse series, The Legion Omegas. This book does not end on a cliffhanger and can be read as a standalone. This book has mature content and is intended for an adult audience.

I absolutely loved this book! It’s a little short, but I still couldn’t put it down. I read it back to front in one setting. I believe the author gives us a good idea early on that this is building up to become a series.
I found the character descriptions good and I had no problems picturing them or their environment and work.
In this first book, we meet Brie, who is an Omega in disguise working as a waitress in a club. In comes Zander the hunky Alpha, who we do meet early on in the book.
I found the description of Zander and his kind very interesting and well thought out.
As with any good book, there is a bad guy, I almost got a crime-boss/mafia feeling meets Omegauniverse, I personally liked it quite well. Now the very interesting thing is that the author is using a species that does not have the Omega/Alpha dynamic as the bad guys, which was quite refreshing, and opened up a bigger plot.
The book is a nice HEA with what I felt was a strong Heroine and a very strong protective Alpha who is not an ass, also refreshing to many.
This is the first book in a trilogy, the 2nd book is currently also being updated and there will be the 3rd book – so you go into this knowing that the main characters you meet, will get their own story, which is quite nice. I love it when Authors bring back characters from previous books.
All in all a 5* from me!
This was something a little bit unusual from my normal read and I have to say I really enjoyed it especially the contrast of all the different characters. The storyline was well written and evenly paced. I look forward to reading more form this author.
Our Omega heroine has survived on her own for many years. Along the way, she’s meet good people who have helped her to stay alive and yet hidden within the whole society. But all luck must run out sometimes and our heroine’s luck finally runs out. Luckily, she has caught the eyes of our hero, even though he doesn’t know why he’s drawn to her. What’s he willing to do when her luck runs out?
This is one of the first book I’ve read from this author. I was waiting for other M/F Omgeaverse books and her book was recommended. Its a nice welcome as this genre is pretty new and there weren’t many books available. I really enjoyed it since I like sci-fi and romance and this has both with the Omegaverse genre which I am really into at the moment. So if you are into these three, get to reading!
I really enjoyed reading this entertaining, slightly dark Sci-fi alpha/omega romance, it is the first book in the series “The Legion Omegas” The plot is well-written & flows smoothly throughout the story-line, & there is excellent scene descriptions. The main characters are realistically portrayed with believable emotional feelings & reactions to the unexpected situation they find themselves in.
There is: a feisty & emotionally strong omega female waitress (Brie) on heat suppressant tablets but then she runs out of them, the dominant but caring alpha (Zander) who claims her, a caring friend (Sheena), a space station, warships, alphas, omegas, betas, a despicable crime-lord boss (Largo), twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, memories, fear, tension, jealousy, strange attraction, devious plans, an offer, deals, abduction, manipulations, humiliation, violence, conflict, heat issues, nesting, instincts, determination, contentment, some steamy scenes & a happy conclusion.
I never have read Omegaverse stories before, but I enjoyed this book. It is also my first book by the author! I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and can see myself reading more of the genre. I highly recommend this book to all those wanting to jump into the omegaverse reads. I give it 5 stars all the way!
This really isn’t my normal book. Yes, I write romantic sci-fi/ fantasy novels, but I must admit that I don’t know much about the Omegaverse, so this book was a bit foreign to me. When I started reading it, I couldn’t help but giggle a little bit. Zander walks around without his shirt on and Brie acts shy around him because she likes him. I really couldn’t stop reading it and even started telling others they should read it. It’s one of those books you start and just can’t really put down. I guess the author converted me. I’m a total Omegaverse fan now!
The first book of this new series was amazing! I loved her new take where the alpha/omega live and work. Great new storyline! This book has more than enough angst and drama to keep the reader interested. Loved the innosence of this omega. While the Alpha is very determined I loved his attempts at talking to this omega in the beginning and his determination to save her and make her his. Awesome read!
This book isn’t really a dark romance like most Omegaverse romance that I have seen. It is still super interesting.
It starts out with an Omega who has been hiding on a space station by using heat suppressants which also help change her scent. But then her heat supressants run out and her supplier is unable to get her more. So she gets discovered by her boss who decides he can make money off of her and takes her prisoner to make her a prize. . . .
The book has just enough action to keep you wanting more. And has decent world building. I do kinda wish there was a bit more story between the main characters because it does feel a bit rushed as an ending. But it is still an great quick read for any Omegaverse fans.
I really enjoyed this first book by an author I will be following. She has given us a fresh take on the Omegaverse by bringing it to a space station and adding more sophisticated science fiction elements to the story. Looking forward to her next book.
A hot and delicious omegaverse romp
When I was offered the opportunity to review The Omega Prize , I have to admit I felt some trepidation. I’ve found a lot of review requests books I’ve been offered have needed a LOT of work to make them readable, so I was extremely pleased with how very readable this one was.
I personally had a couple of minor niggling issues with the first few chapters, but once the story got underway I was totally engaged and immersed into it. Whilst I appreciated that the author was attempting to world build, it felt overly explained at times, sometimes the detail seemed unnecessary. There were also missed opportunities to relay information through a conversation, as opposed to exposition that felt more like stage direction. However it is very much worth pushing through those early parts because what follows is a really good read.
I genuinely liked both main characters, they were nicely fleshed out, likeable and best of all believable. Zander was pretty decent for an alpha in an omegaverse story. He wasn’t a pushover or weak but he definitely valued his omega, even as he dominated her. Brie was an omega in hiding, and whilst she had no choice in being mated to an alpha, she didn’t feel weak when she chose to make the best of it.
The chemistry between the main characters is intense, and the sex scenes were incredibly hot, without being overlong or tawdry. It’s fairly slow burn, but didn’t feel it. I guess there was so much other action happening it didn’t leave time for dwelling on when they’d get to the down and dirty part!
Talking of action, the plot was well thought through and the pace was excellent. After the first couple of chapters the writing style really flowed well and I found myself totally caught up in the story. I’m so pleased to know Karn is the hero of the next book, I’m very much looking forward to reading his story.
