Mates, Mermaids, & Murder.Cats and water don’t mix. Tigers aren’t meant to be dragged to the bottom of the sea, even if it’s to solve a murder. But that itch to claw my way to the surface—it’s blown away by an entirely different desire. She has unearthly silver hair and violet eyes…not to mention the tail of a fish. But my tiger roars to claim this mermaid, fins and scales and whatever else … scales and whatever else comes along with her. We come from different worlds, but fate forces us together.
If we can’t solve this murder, there will be war. If we don’t hurry, I’ll lose her forever.
Quick Bites are stand alone stories you can devour in a flash. Expect short, steamy shifter romance, edge-of-your-seat action, scorching love scenes, and a happily ever after.

I never would have imagined a Tiger and Mermaid to be fated, but for these two it definitely works. Mystery and intrigue, two very different people team up and it’s more than compromise that they need to work on. The story is definitely an attention grabber and the characters and imagery just amazing. Loved it.

It’s different and a bit quirky. It starts out reading like a cheesy detective novel from the 40s, that’s the quirky part.
The storyline is good so you don’t really care about the cheesy detective writing. It’s not a long story, but it’s also not a real short story either.
I enjoyed it. It’s different.
Happy Reading:)

We are in the World of the Therion Tribunal, an alternate universe, where shifters are more prominent than on Earth.
In this Quick Bite we meet Vaughn, a tiger shifter and agent for the Tribunal.
After he witnesses the murder of a high-ranking tribunal officer he is sent to the ocean floor, to help clear the murder, when he meets his mate.
The story could be interesting, but I found it – maybe because of the “quick” bite – under-developed and wish it had more flesh.
The story-line is good, but it is like reading a readers-digest version instead of the real story.
And on a personal note – I did not like the character of Vaughn, too childish to be taken seriously. I understand the character at the beginning of the story, but not any more towards the end.
Still, I decided to recommend the book – as I had said before – the review is personal, and others might like the short romance and maybe even find -Vaughn’s humor funny.
