Sometimes the most novel approach to love comes when we least expect it…A lot can happen at a book convention, but for a conservative romance author like me, things remained fairly predictable.Until the unofficial king of smut crashed into my life, leaving sparks— and our luggage flying around usI had never heard of the illustrious Gage Blackstone, but after two seconds in his presence, my mind … but after two seconds in his presence, my mind was conjuring up scenes that wouldn’t make it into my sweet stories.
He was worldly, gorgeous and his eyes promised naughty things to come. Things I never knew I wanted.
My annoying inner vixen is begging to be set free, but it’s going to take a whole lot of charm, wit, and patience from Gage to convince me to hand over control.
There’s also the matter of his “super-fan” standing in the way… how far will she go to keep us from going all the way?

“They are electrifying together, and their story has everything, it’s fun, invigorating, chemistry off the charts and a little suspense to keep you turning the pages. Loved it and can’t wait for what’s next in this series. I highly recommend this book.” -Kindle Reader

Stacy and Gage may be writers from two different spectrums (erotic and sweet) but the common factor is the romance and these two bring the boom.
Talk about fate, these two were clearly meant to meet and there no denying that fact. This was such a great idea storyline and written so incredibly then add a psycho fan to the plot and you get an exquisite, sexy and pure bliss in words. You need to see what happens…

The Novel Approach is really well written, has characters that are created with tantalizing depth, and has a sexy, almost heartwarming story line.
This book had me laughing and crying and really, really hot and bothered. I could not be happier with their HEA and how everything played out.
Do yourself a favor and get this one. It is worth every penny.

My review for the novella The Novel Experience…
I got a tiny preview into Gabe and Stacy and I have to say, I want more!
Gabe is a panty melting book writer not really looking for love, but willing to jump in if the right person falls into his path and Stacy is a sweet romance writer that bumps into him at a book convention. All the hints of attraction are there for Gabe…but, will Stacy be the right person for Gabe? He certainly seems interested, but the teasing preview ends there!
Well written, story flows smoothly and has just the right amount of spice. I look forward to the completion of the book. <—My review for the novella The Novel Experience The Novel Approach review: I have so many favorite lines in the book it’s not even funny! Here’s just a few... “I think I might have peed a little at the look in his eyes as he made me that promise.” (Stacy is really no different from the average girl, butterfly swooning over anticipation of what’s to come...) “Alright, I can see your eyes glazing over, but I’m going to rip your Harry Potter virginity to shreds at the first opportunity.” (Touching home with my own nerdy secrets of YALit love and being a proud Potterhead! Gabe is also very relatable as a character.) “You’re beautiful,” he whispered. “The way your curls look weighted down by the water in these long spiral strands, the way it makes your eyelashes look darker and thicker around your green eyes… you’re a vision from my dreams.” (And, the syrupy sweet romantic words we secretly all want to hear but when we do, we rarely believe the person speaking. Somehow, Gabe sounds honest and not corny.) Excerpts From The Novel Approach Heather Guimond This material may be protected by copyright. I saved this book for reading as a treat to myself, after reading the early novella I knew I was going to enjoy the sweet slow burn between Stacy and Gabe. It did not disappoint. It left me wondering where I could find my own Gabe! I love the banter Stacy has occasionally with her internal ‘ho’. I find it refreshing, and very much like how I process and think about things. There were a few times the antics left me giggling...Stacy was just really relatable, I felt like I knew Stacy, like I had walked in her shoes at one point in my life. The story had a sweet build up, and a great fully fluffed out plot. It’s so nice to read a book that has just the right amount of spice with a good support of story to back it all up. And the spice, well, it’s just the right amount to make it a hot novel. I definitely recommend checking this book out! I think you will be pleasantly satisfied. 🙂
Absolutely loved this book such a great read
Another amazing book by Heather Guimond. I was so invested in this book. Maybe because it seemed so close to home and real. I love to read and come on, we all love a Gage Blackstone type author right!!! I was hungrily anticipating wh as t was going to happen from page to page. Gage and Stacy had amazing chemistry from the beginning. This story was sweet, funny, hot, and amazing!!
I have to say, this killed me, not in the I’m dead bury me sense but in the you’re killing me Smalls! I love a story you can get lost in, relate to the characters and just plain enjoy!
Gage is pretty amazing, he could have been a total douche and taken advantage of all his fans, but he didn’t! And Stacy, not sure what I expected but she wasn’t it. I had some of the best laughs in this story with the names she called herself, let’s just say you can tell she’s an author……has those words down!!!
Highly recommend this story…….and someone better be writing more of these…..nailed it.
What happens when two writers stumble into one another and end up writing their own kind of story? Gage is the unofficial King of the One-Handed read and Stacy is The Sweetheart of Sweet Romance. Jet lag and sleep deprivation cause an unforgettable first impression. This sweet romantic tale is filled with steamy chemistry, crazy mishaps, witty banter, and just the right amount of suspense to keep you guessing. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
Steamy and sweet The Novel Approach combines the best of both worlds with this delicious spin on opposites attract with a nice bit of mystery woven throughout making an already intriguing read darn near addictive! Heather Guimond mixes in the fun of the book world, which all my fellow bookworms will adore, with a romance that will sweep you up and have you fanning yourself.
Stacy is as innocent and sweet as her novels. Sweetheart is definitely fitting when it comes to her. While shy and a bit socially awkward she still was a character I adored. I found her down to earth and easy to relate to with her introverted ways. Gage was her opposite both in life and work. Every bit as sexy as his own novels the man certainly knows how to work a woman up, but as hot as he is he also turned out to be quite incredibly sweet when it comes to Stacy.
Their story is great from start to finish and throwing in that bit of mystery that truly kept me guessing until the very end makes this book one you don’t want to mis
Stacy and Gage can’t be more different. She writes sweet romance and he is the king of superhot stories. But when they hit it off in a book conference, will they have a chance? good audiobook
5 Star review The Novel Approach (Love Between The Pages #1) by Heather Guimond
AUDIO REVIEW:
Heather Guimond is a new author to me, although I have listened to a previous book by Heather Firth.
This was a fun listen and Heather Firth did a great job with the narration. I loved this quirky story about Stacy Sanders and Gage Blackstone. I was intrigued by the blurb for this book, and since I am jetting off next week to a book signing, this book seemed to have been dropped into my lap by fate.
While Stacy and Gabe are opposites in life and as authors, she is sweet , romantic and he is a bad boy, they should not be attracted to one another and yet the chemistry between them sizzles.
Heather Guimond wove a story that reeled me in and kept me riveted. There was suspense, drama, humour, spice and so much fun that this book was one I didn’t want to stop listening too. A real little gem and I will certainly be looking at other books from Heather Guimond when time permits.
I can’t stand when an author has a female character think things such as her “inner slut” or “inner hussy”. Women are allowed to enjoy sex and be sexual, and when an author uses phrases such as this, he or she is shaming women for having sexual thoughts or feelings.
I loved this insight in writer’s lives – and of course their love lives. What I loved about it was the earnestness of a writer’s sometimes solitary life. What I didn’t like was the part of the crazy fan and I thought it was a bit far-fetched. I loved reading about their passion and their lovelife, although I could kick his assistent sometimes, and I bet Stacy sometimes would want that too. It was kind of fun to see sweetheart and bad-ass getting together.
She’s the Sweetheart of Sweet Romance.
He’s romance’s reigning sex god.
When the two accidentally collide at a book conference, sparks – and their luggage – fly.
Stacy Sanders had never heard of Gage Blackstone before.
If she’d known he was the man everyone called the “king of one-handed reads,” she would have run away as fast as her Prada heels would take her.
Every woman who’d ever read a romance novel had at least one erotic book penned by him, hidden in her underwear drawer.
From the moment Stacy caught Gage’s eye, he only thought about messing up her perfect hair and kissing her senseless.
Stacy never imagined she’d find herself waking up next to him.
But as soon as he finds out what she writes, it will be him running in the other direction.
Who would have thought the most novel approach to love would be sweet, spicy, and steaming hot?
My first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. Would definitely read more from her.
This is a story of two fellow authors writing in the same genre, different subset and realizing that love comes across all types of genre.
What I truly love was the writing collaboration between the couple and how they used this to explore their relationship and even strengthen it. The sex scenes were hot but not too graphic. I am delighted that the author gave us a behind the scenes look on what happens for an author during conventions and off the conventions. How an author is only human that written a book and that it comes with the good (relationship with your readers) and the bad (stalkers). There’s even a mention of a PA (which I do for a living) and happy that they were given appreciation in here.
The only thing that raised my shackles was the point where the female author was discovering her sexuality. I think the words slut and tramp were overused and made to reflect that enjoying sex with what someone you found desirable, is no good at all.
I’m also curious where the author found this gem of an idea for this novel.
Other than that point, I enjoyed the book and great for a summer read.
Oh Gage, I had high hopes for you after reading the prequel, but once again, I finished this book still not a fan of your character. With the amount of women he’s been with prior to Stacy, neither of them enforced the “no glove, no love” mantra before engaging in the sexuals? And then we have Stacy’s inner dialogue; I’m all about embracing yourself in a sexual way, but why denigrate her libido with names like “slut-muffin” “inner harlot” “inner ho”? I felt that Stacy believed it’s okay for the guy to have eleventy-seven sexual partners, but goodness, if a woman is a sexual being she’s a slut.
I enjoyed every moment of this story with some beneficent scenes and intricate solutions in the end as they sort out some challenging scenarios in their relationship
A captivating story about how sweet and erotic authors meet. Engaging hot likable characters. It is well-written, I enjoyed reading. It was a pleasured to review.
