Ellie’s planned the perfect wedding, just…with the wrong groom.Bride-to-be Ellie Thatcher is in the final stages of preparing for her wedding day, and it’s supposed to be perfect, right? But it isn’t. It can’t be. Not without her best friend Ian by her side. Her perfect day would be ruined if he’s not there to share it with her. The invitations all went out weeks ago, and the clock is ticking. … ago, and the clock is ticking. So where is he already? And more importantly, why are all her thoughts about Ian when she’s on the verge of marrying another man?
It’s too late to RSVP when photojournalist Ian Ferris receives the invitation to his best friend’s wedding. Still, it’s not too late to pop in on an old friend and check out the fiancé—for Ellie’s sake. Ian tries to put a nice face on it, to be there and show his support for Ellie and her choice. But the truth is, he’s going crazy because he can’t imagine Ellie with anyone but himself. Will Ian allow Ellie to take her journey down the aisle on the arm of another man and make the biggest mistake of her life? Or will he tell her the truth about his feelings, and help her see that he’s more than just her best man…he might just be the love of her life.

I read this book as a part of the Sweet and Sassy Anthology. It was a quick and enjoyable read. I loved the story and couldn’t put the book down.
Ellie and Ian had an amazing friendship. We were able to see how much they depended on each other. One turn of events change their whole perspective- on each other and on themselves.
Angela and Griff complete the friendship circle with Ellie and Ian. While they have their differences,, the love their friends and were torn – be supportive or express how they feel. Through it all, they found themselves closer friends.
This was the first book that I read by Ms. Dallen and I can’t wait to read more!
An entertaining, clean romance, keeps one guessing almost to the end. Ellie’s friendship with Ian goes far beyond being best friends. They really are soul mates but having put each other in the friend zone, they are both too blind to see the truth right in front of their eyes. When Ian arrives for Ellie’s wedding, almost too late to do anything about his feelings for her, he finally realises his mistake. However, Ellie has made a commitment and she is sticking to her promises. Although this is a love story, there is also suspense in that the author manages to string out the anticipation to the conclusion of the book. I enjoyed this lighthearted read and it made me realise once again how privileged I am to have married my own best friend.
Aaaarrrrggghhh! I was so frustrated by this book. C’mon guys figure it out you so belong too each other! Thanks God they finally got the HEA they so deserved. Thankfully all done in an enjoyable way that left me cheering for both of them. Hooray for one totally fun and (as usual for this author) wonderfully written book. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
Perfectly Hallmark. If you’re looking for the book version of a Hallmark Movie romance… you’ve found it. Funny yet angsty, with the classic clueless best friends and the friends that know before the best friends do. Perfectly zany ending. It aint deep, it aint earth shattering, but sometimes light and fun is … perfectly… what you need. 😉
I loved reading Ellie and Ian’s story – it was a fun, easy read. Ellie and Ian have been BFF’s for forever, until she gets engaged while Ian’s away on assignment for work. When Ian’s receives Ellie’s invitation along with her request to walk her down the aisle, he doesn’t know what to think, especially since she met and got engaged in the 3 months that he’s been away. Once he’s home, he finally realizes what everyone else already knew – they were made for each other! With the wedding only a few days away, Ian’s at a loss at to how to go forward with her getting married to someone else! Great read to find out who Ellie marries! Add in their other 2 BFF’s – Angela and Griff, and you have one great story that will make you laugh, cry, feel frustrated and happy all at once! Great read!
