The Ninth Life: Book Two in The Lieutenant Kane Dedicated to Death SeriesAn anonymous phone call sends Tampa homicide lieutenant Carl Kane straight to the scene of a murdered woman, a sight far too familiar in his line of work. What’s even more familiar is the manner in which the woman’s life was taken—the slaying is identical to that of victims of a satanic lunatic named Koskinen, yet Kane had … Koskinen, yet Kane had captured and put the man away years before.
It seems that Koskinen has found himself an admirer, maybe a follower or, worse, someone to kill on his behalf.
The first body is just the beginning. The ending holds something much worse.
Editorial Review:
“Lt. Carl Kane thought he’d closed the books on serial killer Larry Koskinen, who is serving a life sentence in a state mental hospital for carving up his victims—and trying to carve up Kane himself—years ago. But when Carl discovers a dead body exhibiting the killer’s same MO, he finds himself revisiting a case he wants to close the books on for good. As new victims pile up, Reinhard ratchets up the tension big-time, and his fast-paced tale and fine plotting will keep readers turning pages long into the night.” Angela M., Editor, Red Adept Editing

This story is very intense! It was so late last night when i finished it i’ve been sleep deprived all day. How powerful mind control can be .. and if someone needs to control you. .. run the other away. Really an intense story.
I always enjoy E.H. Reinhard’s books and it didn’t disappoint.
Good story line. Note to author: 666 is devil worship v 999.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. It was original and unique and I couldn’t put it down.
Great author…you get caught up with the characters early on. Hard to stop reading and do anything else.

The ending holds something much worse. – I enjoyed the investigation of the murders. It was interesting how Lieutenant Kane, the captain, and other detectives worked together. Koskinen was horrible, as was his admirer. The murders were gruesome, and no detail was spared. This is a good read.
The characters aren’t as full as they could be, but the story is well written and moves along at a good pace.
I always like reading this author. He has several series of books and I’ve read a lot of them.
It was a good book. The author got right to the point so you knew what was going on but then there were a lot of places that were redundant.
Another good Reinhard book. Control of events while incarcerated.
From all the Mayham that happened in this book the The conclusion I was a little far-fetched.
This is the 1st book I read by E.H. Reinhard. I loved this book’s storyline. I loved the action in this story. I loved the suspense in this story. Some parts of this story was gruesome . I loved Kane’s character. I loved the ending. This was a great page turner story. Awesome job Mr. Reinhard.
Kept me reading to completed!!
It was a good storyline, but the writing was more like a police report than a novel. Every action reported in style that read a lot like a police “after action report”.
First time i gave this author anything less the a 4* review. This book reminded me of the old t.v. show Dragnet.
Really enjoy this aythor
Suspenseful..Wee hours of the morning page turner.
Nice, easy read. Good whodunit. Must admit there were a few surprises that I didn’t see coming.
Enjoyed this book and it was a quick read.
