Thus is another not to be missed book in an absolutely brilliant series.
I totally recommend it.
A good read.Lots of action.Bit of a cliffhanger though…can’t help but think that there is more coming…in which case I am eagerly waiting. This is a really enjoyable series.
An exciting adventure with anthropomorphic animals as the main characters. They are well developed characters and the story world is entertaining. If you’re into the “furry” world, you’ll love this book and even if you’re just into fantasy, you’ll really enjoy the read.

The Night Badger and Star ran through the long grass. Melis, the Badger’s homeworld, was a planet not dissimilar in climate to Lupus, but Star knew he wouldn’t see his home for some time yet. The tall grasses, the rain, and the fading light made it difficult to scout ahead and see what was going on while they ran. The Night Badger had gotten them from Brunneis Ursa, home of the betrayer Brown Bear, Kodiak, and returned to his home planet. But as soon as they landed on Melis, they scented Tiger forces all around and had been on the run for 10 days without rest. Exhausted, they both knew the hunt was coming to a close soon. Star mourned the loss of his love, Sky; his best friend, River; and his loyal advisor, Ash. The Bears and Tigers joined forces and destroyed half of the Wolf army. By the time he and Night Badger escaped, he was sure no one else had survived.
Still running, Night Badger and star ducked as laser fire came at them. Tigers Steelclaw and his twin Oakenclaw, were firing on them. A third Tiger that Star scented was Blackfire and Star was ready to avenge his father’s death, until Night Badger told him this was not the time to fight Winter’s private Death Squad, the very best of the best. He led them down a hill to boats, boarded one and shot holes in the other. No food or sleep for several nights, but Night Badger led them forward through the biting winds and harsh blizzard, doing the unexpected, always keeping ahead of the enemy and leading them away from the settlements. Maybe they could actually survive another night now? Needing food and shelter now more than anything, Night Badger rolled a snowball and pelted it at Star.
With a change of location, the battle against the evil Winter’s forces rages on. How long can our heroes continue the fight? Only the two of them are warriors, and they are mindful of keeping innocents safe. Is there any hope for them? They are impossibly outnumbered and even the bitter storms must be fought! What will happen now? Soon there may be nothing left to save! Grab your copy of this exciting space opera fantasy and see what the future holds – if there still is a future when the fighting ends! It looks like it’s going to take a miracle this time.
