Things a bad neighbor can do to you:1. Have loud parties late at night2. Refuse to mow his lawn3. Steal your newspapers4. Rip your heart out and walk all over itKatya Tocci is willing to admit that she may have bitten off more than she could chew.Liam Edenhoff showed her a side of life she’d been missing out on – sex and friendship and tacos. But then he betrayed her.Wulfric Stone taught her that … friendship and tacos. But then he betrayed her.
Wulfric Stone taught her that big surprises can come from unexpected places – like from a surly, aggressive, withdrawn bastard. But then he broke her heart.
Now one of them wants forgiveness, and the other wants forever. And Katya? She just wants to forget.
Who knew neighbors could be so difficult?

“But she wouldn’t ever actually do anything mean to them. … would she?”
I simply love this writer!!! Even though this read was a particularly angsty “angst-fest”, I still appreciated the three main characters: Katya, Liam and Wulfric. I was interested in the whole read and read every word…what am I saying? I always read every word. LOL
I realize that I am late to the party with this series and actually…late in discovering this writer… which has been a delight for me. Who doesn’t love finding a new writer to love? I am also slightly amused by some of the reader reactions to the turn of events that transpire in the story. Needless to say, of course everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I found Katya’s actions very credible considering the embarrassment, emotional shock and disappointment of what she endured because of Liam and Wulfric. Remember she was at her most open and unguarded when she learned of the genesis of her relationships with these two men. I enjoyed some of the well-deserved comeuppance she dished out to both men.
She does grow up considerably through the turn of events in her life and she comes to the realization that she is not really that girl who is mean or plays games. Still…it was fun reading about her shenanigans!!! All three characters grow through the events of this, the second book, in the “Twin Estates” series.
Through it all, Katya was careful to acquiesce sexually only to the man she truly loved, even though she had natural feelings of desire for the other as he pressed his suit. I even enjoyed the coming close and letting go of Katya and her beloved. Isn’t the increasing tension and uncertainty of this type of situation the stuff on which we romance readers gorge ourselves?
Oh, and can this author write sex!!! Yes, my friends…she has a deft and creative pen when it comes to the build up and climax of an erotic encounter. I never take this for granted. Very entertaining and very satisfying!!! I am literally beside myself or somewhere thereabouts. 😀
I’m so interested in the fate of the characters that I am on to book 3. I like the fact I can go right into the next book. I know all too well the pain of waiting for the next book in a series. I experience it constantly. So…this is indeed a nice reprieve and I truly love this author’s writing.
If escaping to the romantic problems and the resulting angst of some interesting characters (including hot alpha men) coupled with some smokin’ hot sex is your jam then do not hesitate to visit The Neighborhood. After of course you read the first book, Neighbors
“Your mistake is thinking that forgiving someone automatically takes away all the hard work that goes into the relationship. You think saying ‘I’m sorry’ should magically make the hurt and heartache go away. Well, it doesn’t – ‘I’m sorry’ are just the first two words at the very beginning of a lot of conversations and a very long road of work. Welcome to love, sweetie.”
his book was again a little hard for me to get into. However, over all it was a good book.
Katya has now taken control over certain aspects of her life that seemed to have gotten out of control. Her heart is still broken because of the two very handsome and very different men in her life. Liam is very apologetic and wanting to be her friend again but is also still wanting more from her. Then she has Wulf who also still wants her however he is still an a**. His way to get her back is very straight forward but also in a harsh way compared to Liam who is almost laid back in the way to get Katya back.
However, Katya has her own ideas about how the “game” of her life will go. Who will she pick in the end, will it be the fun loving Liam or the ass that is Wulf?
After the first book, the only question on our minds was ‘who does Katya choose’??? Liam or Wulf or did she decide to have a taco and call it a day.
It’s an emotional read, the hurt and pain from the first book is even more in this book. You really don’t know which way she’s going to go because she doesn’t know. How do you pick from two guys you trusted, cared for and maybe even loved.
A lot of soul searching and trying to discover what did she actually want.
The book is essentially a turn-the-corner phase in Katya Tocci’s life. She’s had her Heart broken…….no completely shattered by the two most handsome, awesome men in her life . Wulfric Stone and Liam Edenhoff . She unfortunately fell in love with both of them and got betrayed by both of them !
In this second part of the continuation, she tries to focus on herself. What she wants , what she deserves and what she feels good doing. We see her heart oscillate between the two and her Indecisiveness cause pain and heartache all around. Now this part may irk some readers , because she appears strong and foolish at the same time. But that’s want life is -a battle between Heart and Mind , Wants and Needs. Very beautifully articulated in this story. The first half is very witty, the banter shows Katya showing teeth , Liam is apologetic and genuinely sorry. He’s there for her and tries to weasel his way in her heart , but gets Friendzoned pretty firmly.
She didn’t want to be new-Katya or old-Katya or bitter-vengeful-bitch-Katya – she just wanted to be Katya, plain and simple. She would have to learn how, and she couldn’t do that when she was caught up in all the drama they’d created.
Wulfric on the other hand has a more tougher time apologizing. Come to think if it , he doesn’t blatantly say he’s sorry. But he willingly tries to be Nicer ! As much as his starchy , stoic self allows. He remains brusque and hard , but in his defence, he does nice things for her.
With both men vying for her attention and re-entry into her good graces, you’d think it would be a piece of cake.. wrong ! Katya is hell bent on making them eat the Bitter humble pie and enjoy it too !
Torture was fun, Katya decided. Getting to see Wulf and Liam squirm and fidget and generally be as uncomfortable as possible was the best thing ever. It trust is something that happens overnight. That trust should be given the first time you meet someone, and then it gets chipped away at with every mistake they make. No. Trust isn’t something that’s gained OR rebuilt over night.did wonders to ease the pain that still sat in her chest.
The story evolves and unfolds with all three tied up with each other emotionally and they are literally banging their hearts together, it becomes a game of “who’s better” after some time and Katya who’s supposed to be the wronged one, gets crushed again between the two . There’s threeway a tug-of-war and no one’s the winner.
Everything was just a chance to prove himself. Sleep with a lot of women – proves he’s a real man. Beat someone at a game – proves that he’s a better man.
Here emerges the true Victor and I’m completely floored . The characters are so beautifully written and the dialogue and interaction so crisp and witty, I didn’t lose interest even once. A perfect ending to a fantastic story.
Ultimately the wisdom of the elders comes to the rescue
trust is something that happens overnight. That trust should be given the first time you meet someone, and then it gets chipped away at with every mistake they make. No. Trust isn’t something that’s gained OR rebuilt over night. If you truly care about someone, then it takes work. Hard, tough, difficult, and sometimes just plain god awful work. Your mistake isn’t thinking you can’t forgive him , because clearly, you already have. Your mistake is thinking that forgiving someone automatically takes away all the hard work that goes into the relationship. You think saying ‘I’m sorry’ should magically make the hurt and heartache go away. Well , it doesn’t – ‘I’m sorry’ are just the first two words at the very beginning of a lot of conversations and a very long road of work. Welcome to love, sweetie
I once was a girl like Katya and I once knew a guy like Liam
I straight up Facebook stalked Stylo and demanded to know when book two would be coming out. She responded with soon and the title…The Neighborhood. I think I squealed for a full hour especially when she mentioned we didn’t have a terribly long wait. (Though it felt like forever)
I love that Katya had the same exact hurt and revenge inspired reaction I contemplated at the conclusion of Neighbors. Though I was pretty sure what was going to happen in book one, the ending was like watching a train wreck. No way to take your eyes off the tragic event but hoping all the way through for the best. Then we start The Neighborhood…
Welcome to The Neighborhood! Super “friendly” neighbors, lots of people with boundary issues, competitive natures…
Ok, let’s be real. This is a sexy neighborhood with too much potential. I need to ask the author if I can move in here. Wulf and Liam may have bitten off more than they could chew when the decided to play games with Katya. But neither would have guessed how she decides to make them pay.
Friends, lovers, enemies- all titles that fit depending on the chapter. This trio has some serious issues that need to be worked out. It might take some time with trust being an imaginary concept or maybe time will tell them how wrong it all is?
I loved the emotion pull and complete confusion. You will always pick someone to route for- whether they are the “one” or not. I chose right because, well, I’m always right- ok, it’s because my opinion is truly the only one that matters…
Whether you’re Team Liam or Team Wulfy, you know that Team Katya is the deciding factor and that ship has already sailed.
I am desperate for more tales from The Twin Esates. Hey, I’m greedy- I know it.

***4 It’s all about the process Stars***
At the end of Neighbors I knew that I’d be picking up the next book just to see what was going to happen next in the crazy world of Katya, Liam and Wulf and it was all I expected it to be and then some. It was crazy, frustrating, heart warming and sexy as the three of them navigate their new reality and while I felt like some things were dragged out, I was satisfied with how everything turned out.
It’s funny at how difficult this book has been for me to review because there is so much to say, but if I put it down then it wouldn’t be a spoiler free review. So, I’m going to keep it short and sweet. Things start off not long after Neighbors ends and Katya is still in the process of figuring out which “Katya” she wants to be. Wulf is loving his “I’m a solitary island” stint. And Liam is being his normal self and using his charm as weapon. As the book progresses each of them go on a journey and it’s a twisty one. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s frustrating but each step of the way has them determined to get what they want, or think they want, in the end.
And in the end does Katya pick #TeamWulfy, #TeamTacos, both of them or does she decide to flip them the double bird? Well, you’ll just have to read the book to see, but I will say that once she pulls her head out of her ass she does pick the right path.
I know this review is vague, but it is what it is because this is a journey you have to go into blind in order to appreciate the end result. It’s slow going, but it is all about the process. While a decision is made, I am hoping that there will be other books in the series, or at least spinoffs because there are a bunch of characters in The Neighborhood who deserve to have their stories told and obtain their own HEA’s.

I’m going to say that this one took me a bit to get through. For some reason Katya was really bugging the crap out of me. It was probably around the last half of the book, I just wanted to scream at her to either move the french toast on, or pick someone! I would’ve like more time with who she picked instead of most of the book being a big game between the 3, but that’s just me. I still loved the first book and I’m super stoked that there’s going to be another book in the series.
I liked this book not as much as book 1. Katya was really annoying, yes the guys were jerks but either get over it or move on. The game was dumb and childish. I also didn’t get Liam being all like I love you I will wait and I am not having sex with other people yet he was. The way Kayta finds that was so kinda funny and messed up. On to book 3 which I have read and liked alot more than this one.
I’m loving the ending! I knew it!
I love the fact that Stylo still leaving us hints of Liam’s own book later. I also love that she made Katya strong yet vulnerable at the same time. Why I didn’t give this one 5 stars, mostly because the drama is thick but I find Katya a bit annoying in this story. Sure she wants a revenge but somehow I didn’t see the point of it anymore especially when both hunks apologized times and times again.
Look forward to read Liam’s story!!!!!! And who’s that Halsey girl really? Ugh!
