Until next time… Happy Reading!
I enjoyed this book, it was fast paced, romantic and no angst, a perfect short read, and I really liked the idea of a necromancer that was squeemish about blood, and named after a Disney Princess! Libby Kirk’s narration was wonderful, helping to bring the characters to life. I’m looking forward to the next book.
A necromancer, and an owl shifter love story with a mystery to solve. Very interesting characters in the series Paranormal six council. This being just one of them. In this book the council was tasked with finding out which Necromancer was leaving the townspeople dead. This would be hard to investigate as most necromancer stay hidden away. Luckily ne had been assigned to the general council when they realized the necromancer could not police themselves. Well Arlington, a high school history teacher and also an owl, met with “Rory” the new necromancer representative on the council. They both felt an immediate attraction but had a job to do.
Rory was so naive that she wasn’t even sure how a mating was consummated. The discussion between the girls and then listening in on the guys take n it brought some nobility to this book. Overall, very well done

The Necromancer’s Prey by Laura Greenwood is a shifter romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Libby Kerk.
I just love Laura’s Books! They always leave me begging for more! I cannot wait for the forth book in the series The Vampire’s Bite to be released on audible.
Libby did a great job on the narration. I cannot wait to listen to more of her projects in the future.

So much going on throughout this short story. The romance was instant but it still grew in strength and comfort which was a great new way to see a romance. I liked seeing other characters from the series. The type of supernaturals they are were unique as well. The narrator did a great job on bringing the characters to life.

This was my first read in the Paranormal Council world, but it worked as a standalone. Rory is kind of a black sheep (or a white sheep among black) among necromancers. I loved watching her grow and her confidence improve as her relationship with Alden progressed. Loved Alden’s kind and protective nature, too. Great characters who are great together. Enjoyed the action, mystery, and working together toward catching the bad guys. I’m ready for more.

The Necromancer’s Prey
by Laura Greenwood
An outcast of the necromancer society, and even from her own family; because, she is branded as “too nice”; our heroine goes through a lot in this short novel. Her characters growth had quite a good development, and I hope we get to see more of her in the rest of the of the series!! Our hero; has the perfect amount of sweetness and bad-ass for a shifter, that ends up saving our heroine. I loved his character and the fact that he protected and cared for her; which is exactly what she needed to find herself. I really liked how their story progressed and the mystery they had to figure out! A necromancer never believes that they could mate or expecting their relationship would grow and how deep it would grow. Every romance book needs a good balance between the faults and qualities of the hero and the heroine, to complemented each other and helped each other grow; my favorite couple so far in the series. I enjoyed seeing how their confidence grew and how they worked together, and it was refreshing to see the bad guys getting caught.
Prepare yourself for a story, that has a good amount of interesting proportions; that will draw you in and keep you enthralled. The Necromancer’s Prey is the third book (a novella) and it is a fantastic story!! It fits well into the series of the Paranormal Council series, each book can be read as a standalone so start where ever you want; but, you are going to want to read them all! I am so ready to start the next one. Necromancers are quite a topic and I really liked how their story progressed and the mystery they had to figure out I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my HONEST review based solely on my own opinions; and this short novel receives 4-stars.

This is my third read by Laura Greenwood and I was just as excited about this one as the others.
This is a short novella and it stars a necromancer, Rory. Necromancer are unlike the other supernatural beings in the series. They are very secretive and they use a type of magic called Death Magic. Rory, aside from being unlike other supernatural beings, is also unlike any of the other necromancers as well. She enjoys working with the council as a liaison but she never dreamed that her mate would end up being a shifter that changes into an Owl, Alden. Alden is just a dumfounded and shocked by their connection as she is but, as they work together to solve crimes their feeling grow. The investigation puts her in danger and Alden is none too thrilled about it.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters in it. If you’re looking for a quick read, look no further.
The Necromancer’s Prey is Rory and Alden’s story and is another step into paranormal “laws”.
It is not necessary to read the others to enjoy this story.

The third book in the Paranormal Council series a short well-written book that I enjoyed reading. I am looking forward to reading the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rory a necromancer and Alden an owl shifter are unexpected mates. In this book we find out more about necromancer’s and the connection between Rory and Alden. This is a short paranormal romance with intriguing characters and a great story line.
Alden, an elder of the shifter counsil works with a necromancer ´to solve the problem of a rogue necromancer, who attacks humans – probably to be used as blood slaves. His contact is a lovely young woman who he is attracted to, but could she really be his mate? Can shifters and necromancers be true mates? Their magic opposes each other.
As usual – an intriguing story, with a slightly new twist of inter-species true mating, blended with the hunt for the rogue necromancer.
Well written and entertaining.-

While I like the writing and the premise of the story, the more of these I read, the more I feel like something is missing. Each book has stopped without explanations for important things and the next books are not answering them. Like, what happened to the bad guy? I feel like I am being strung along. I hope that has I near the end of the series the pieces begin to fall in place. I do like the characters though. The idea of mates in this world seem a little sketchy being that all they have to do is meet, but they really aren’t sure if it’s their mate when that happens. The whole life and dead mating was interesting and should be fleshed out more.
2.5-3 stars

This is the third book in the Paranormal Council series and focuses on Rory (Aurora) and Alden, and is just as enjoyable as the first two books in the series. I liked the twist to the Necromancer theme that was put into place, it shows that you can not judge everyone based off of labels
