A real page turner that has every element you love in a sexy story. Steam, angst, and a well written tale that will have you turning the pages at a record pace.
This was an outstanding five star novel from Phoebe Alexander. I have really fallen in love with her novels this past year and I can’t get enough of them. I have not read one book by her that I wouldn’t adore to own and reread over and over again. This one does not disappoint at all either. From the drool worthy cover to the intense and passionate story between the covers and the love that went into to it, it culminated into a beautiful woven love story.
Phoebe writes strong and bold novels, often embracing things that the average Joe wouldn’t normally admit enjoying but do. I love how she is able to bring the taboo into the not so taboo world by telling the realistic stories that develop in these situations. The Navigator is not different and does not disappoint for one moment.
Garrett Stone has had his world torn out from underneath him. His dreams and goals are all torn to pieces and he is merely trying to figure out how to go about picking up the pieces of his shattered life and rebuilding a new one. He never planned on finding someone to love. He thought his heart was far too damaged to be capable of feeling that kind of connection with a person again. Then He meets Anjuli. Anjuli has her own shattered past and demons. Both are attracted to each other and only give into the physical need that develops between them, nothing more. Well life sure has a way of throwing monkey-wrenches in our best laid plans. Will the feelings that develop send the two running in opposite directions or find them learning how to love all over again and how to lean on someone else.
I was so invested in Garrett from the get go of this novel. I never expected that I would become as equally invested in Anjuli or find myself as invested in the outcome of their story as much as I did. I wanted Garrett to get a chance to find himself, to heal, and to find that he was capable of deserving the best life has to offer. What I found myself getting was a trip on a roller coaster of emotions for both Garrett and Anjuli that had me crying at the lows and screaming with the highs. I loved this novel and I can’t wait to get my hands on another Phoebe Alexander novel as soon as I possibly can!
Great story lines and characters, Awesome !! Loved this boxset. The storylines were so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. When Garrett has had his life turned upside down now that he is picking up the pieces he would like to share his life with someone, that is when he meets Anjuli.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

I love Garrett so much!!!
A great representation of bisexuality. Wonderful characters.
I can’t recommend it enough.
INCREDIBLE!!!
I was hoping Garrett would get his own book after reading the Mountains trilogy. Phoebe surely didn’t disappoint with this story. Garrett has had a rough past. One I wasn’t so sure he could overcome, or even want to overcome. When he literally runs into Anjuli at the liquor store, neither one has any idea how much their lives are about to change. I love romance with a great story behind it. That’s exactly what Phoebe gives us in The Navigator. Garrett (Nav) and Anjuli are incredible together. I love their chemistry and openness with each other. The ending surprised me a little, but definitely in a good way. I absolutely loved this story.
MY ROCKY ROAD JUST HIT A NEW BUMP!!!
Wow! Talk about kicking a dog while he’s down. This is one page turning bombshell that hits a whole new level of its own. Dramatic, deep, fear, heartache and gut wretching are only a tid bit of depth and emotional trauma you’ll experience. A word of caution my friends, if you have problems with depression I’d suggest you not read this show stopper. Phoebe writes with such passion it just makes things that much deeper. I’m not sure where she gets her inspiration but she shows just how strong a person is with the strength of a giant. The characters are well developed and believable as we follow along with them on their journey. Their personalities are unique, complex, spicy and so realistic it adds flavor to the mix. The characters show the strength it takes to keep getting up and trying to find a place they belong. The scenes are vividly detailed and descriptive it paints an intense and bold backdrop that can literally bring you to your knees. All the twists and turns and unexpected surprises just keeps going and you wonder how they can hold themselves in one piece. Phoebe brings this read to life flawlessly and perfectly balanced. She is truly one amazing author to bring everything she has and more that it takes on life of its own. She has such immense talent that she pulls you into her imagination and creates a world so real until everything else ceases to exist. With her talent, imagination, insight and a keen sense for detail she shows us only a portion of her gifts to hit hard and fly high. Phenomenal job Phoebe, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
5 Stars
The Navigator is A Mountains Trilogy novel by Phoebe Alexander. I loved the Mountains Wanted Trilogy- that series of books are one of my favourites by Ms. Alexander, so when I saw she had written another book as part of that series, I knew that I just had to read it. But I wasn’t sure how this story would fit in to the series and if there would be any connections between them, and because it has been a few years since I had read Mountains Wanted- I decided that this would be a great time to revisit those books before diving into this one! So, here I am, 5 books later- and I have to say that I still love those books so much and I am really glad that I reread the other 4 books before starting this one. But, you really don’t have to have read the other books to really enjoy this one- you could just read it as a standalone without feeling like something is missing (although you would be missing out on some really great books).
This story touches and explores so many elements- each one on its own could be interesting- but combined into such a wonderful story- well, it’s like crack for a romance addict. The book is so much more than I thought it would be. The blurb is good, but it really doesn’t convey just how compelling the story is, or how heartfelt, meaningful and emotional this experience is. I mean, she had me at bearded man and Mountains Trilogy- but add in bisexual romance, Indian Heroine, interracial romance, older woman/younger man, and more- still doesn’t even begin to convey how much this story will imprint itself in your heart and mind. Not to mention the sizzle factor is off the charts!
The story flows well and has a great pace. I read it in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Alexander does next!
Thank you, Ms. Alexander!
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander
Four Stars
This story was a serious eye opener for me. I don’t usually read stories like this. I think I actually blushed while reading some of the scenes. The main guy Nav is a older man working towards his PhD when something unexpected gets him banned. I didn’t really like his character he had a pity party for too long and had no real motivation to get on track. Anjuli was beautiful and I love that she was exploring her sexuality.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander was an epic emotional rollercoaster that had me engrossed form start tom finish.
Wow, if I could leave my review at that, I would. Sometimes you don’t need a lot of words, and for this book. But I’m going to tell you somethings as to why the only word in my head right now after reading this outstanding book, is wow.
First of all I would like to point out that Phoebe Alexander is fast becoming a fav or mine. Her writing is always so real, and connecting. I like these story lines she creates that not only deal with most the romance, they deal with the actually characters, there ups downs and real life adult situations. These characters could be your neighbour, they’re so realistic. This book embodies all what I have just said and more. I can’t even really put into words what I’m feeling, this book had that much of a impact .. I’m completely lost for words.
What I can convey, is that this book is a gut punch. Our MC’s will have you question them, rooting for them and have you wishing you could be their for them. This book is much more then a story, it’s a journey. I highly recommend you get this book, so you can experience that journey with them.
I don’t know what else to say, sure, I can touch on the overall aesthetics, writing style, grammar and what not, but, because of the why this book traps you, you are unaware of anything else. The easy word flow and pacing placing put you a trance to were you feel like you’re living the life with the characters. That in itself is magic.. pure literary magic.
And that is where I will leave you.
Happy Reading

The Navigator was a great 5 star read and part of the Mountains Trilogy.
Garrett (Nav) has a pretty messed up life and he turns to women, men and alcohol.
Anjuli is a single mom who joined the theater for something to do, this is where she meets Nav.
I was pulled right in by Nav, he was a hot messed up ginger. He was so lost trying to figure things out. When he met Anjuli things took a good turn for him. Anjuli was great, she was curious about Nav and his sexuality and did some exploring of her own. Some of the scenes were mighty hot.
The more time they spend together the closer they become. Can these two actually have a future?
I really loved this story, there is so much more that will pull you right in. If you don’t mind M/M, M/F, M/M/F then you will really enjoy it. There are several hot and steamy scenes.
Garrett has a heartbreaking memory from childhood that had me in tears. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really like how everything came together in the end. The epilogue was great. I really look forward to reading more from this author.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel, by Phoebe Alexander, is an enriching romantic read. It does cover some topics that some may not be comfortable reading, so thoroughly read the synopsis and topics that may be covered before embarking into this tasty novel. True to Phoebe Alexander’s writing style, this story delivers on all levels and features hills and valleys that the character(s) have to overcome and work through. The story was steady and touched on real life topics and challenges and handled them in realistic ways. This is a story you can easily see happen with characters that are touching, strong, and well written.
The Navigator is heart wrenching. To know someone like Garrett, someone so lost and completely out of hope, is heart wrenching. Alexander does a fantastic job of creating this character so that the reader can feel his pain and despair as well. I sure did!
Anjuli is the coolest name ever. This character is an older woman, 40’s, smart, dedicated and strong. I could relate to Anjuli as a woman and a mother. We women tend to do things because we must, simply because there is no one else to do it. This character is no different. Anjuli is strong and free and reading about her makes me smile and gives me hope.
Fate leads these two characters to meet. They literally bump into each other. Not cliché at all, actually, more sweet and innocent than cliché. What starts out as a “friends with benefits” situation turns into something more. With the twisting family dynamics and hot sex scenes this book is all that and a bag of chips! And can we add in there Garrett’s hot sexy roommate!
As with Alexander’s other books, The Navigator must be read with an open mind. Some situations aren’t for everyone, but man does she make them worth reading!
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel
By Phoebe Alexander
5 stars
I always know that when I pick a book up by Phoebe Alexander I am going to be in for a good read, I have read a few books by her now and I am always in awe of the amazing characters that she creates and how real they feel. Again this book was no exception, I was hooked straight away into Garrett’s (Nav’s) story, I had a feeling it was going to be a little emotional! I will say I am not a fan of m/m books so I did skim over those parts but I knew how much I wanted those books and if I know Phoebe’s writing those scenes will have been excellently written.
Oh Nav! You completely stole my heart! Never before has a character affected me so much – he made me laugh, cry and also made me a little frustrated at time but underneath that poor broken outer-shell was the kindest, nicest person ever.
I really do have to say that this book is really written well, everything about it is just fantastic, from the characters, to the storyline. I never wanted it to end and I absolutely could not put it down! Although part of the Mountains Trilogy, it is a spin off and therefore it can be read as a standalone.
Another outstanding 5 star read from Phoebe Alexander – I can’t wait to see what is next from her!!
The Navigator was a good read. It’s not the first book I’ve read by this author, but the first I’ve read in this series. Her writing always seems to have a sultry edge to it, so I knew I would enjoy this book. I was able to read it as a stand alone.
Garrett’s life takes a negative turn right at the beginning, and while he’s stumbling through, he meets Anjuli. They’re both all about the casual and fun. For awhile that might be a good idea, he’s kind of a mess and she has some things to figure out.
So I’m reading along, then BAM- weird twist. Then a couple more crazy surprises kind of make the last 30% of the book faster paced than the rest. There were some crazy hot love scenes mixed into the story as well. If the others are like this, I’d read the whole series for sure.
The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander is an interesting and a powerful emotional read. It took me awhile to warm up bit once I did it was hard to put down. This story is one of struggles and survival, self destruction and self discovery, secrets and lies and a broken down man who needs some in his corner. He needs love and forgiveness, friendship and family. He finds it hard to sustain any relationship and before he knows it and his life is spiraling out of control what he didn’t know he needed was staring him in the face, he just has to let them in. The story is a well written and entertaining and the characters are complex and kept you engaged.
I really enjoyed this novel was so intense kept me on the edge of my seat that’s for sure. I loved the journey your taken on it’s not all easy for the characters at all they go through such an emotional roll coaster which you experience while your reading it. It’s safe to say i was hooked right from the start right til the very end highly enjoyable storyline i can’t wait to read more from this author.
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander is a five star novel. It is part of the Mountains Trilogy but can definitely be read as a stand alone. I absolutely love this author’s writing style. She can reel you in and keep your interest over a long period of time. This book does not disappoint. It is heartbreaking and lovely all at the same time. We first met Garrett in book 2, Mountains Climbed. Garrett is a broken man, more broken than people realize. After terrible things happen to him, he knows he needs to try and fix himself. There is no way he could find love again, at least that’s what he thinks. How would he ever be able to open himself up again to love when it hurts so badly. When he meets Anjuli, he knows his life will change but never bargained for what was in store.
The Navigator by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing addition to the Mountains Trilogy. I absolutely adore Phoebe Alexander and everything that she writes. She’s always been bold and BOLD, and let’s just say that she doesn’t hold back with The Navigator.
Something has to be said about an individual that is lost but is willing to try and find himself. That’s exactly what we get with Garrett Stone. He’s hit the worst moment in his life. Fortunately for the readers, he meets Dr. Anjuli Raina. I loved everything about these characters. Loved how they started, their journey and where it led them to.
I love reading this author. She has a way of creating a world and ensnaring the reader with her words. I love the character development.
