Carla Monroe, matchmaking momma and regular busybody, is about to play cupid once again. This time, she’s pairing her wild daughter with an unlikely match…the competition. Priscilla Monroe is brash and impulsive. A freaking pain in the ass, if you ask her brother. She hasn’t found a man yet who can keep pace with her…or put up with her. Rand Knights is pure alpha. His confidence and pheromones … confidence and pheromones are so strong, you might want to bottle it up for a lonely night. He thinks Pris will be the perfect one-night stand and the perfect dig at his competition, until he gets wrapped up in her killer legs. Now, he’s more interested in getting to know the feisty, headstrong, and foul-mouthed woman who just might make his life impossibly perfect.
*** If you despise characters who curse, are full of mischief, and make love like wild rabbits, this book is definitely not for you. ***

This is a fast story about two people who are irresistibly drawn to one another, despite all the reasons they shouldn’t be. He’s a player who never wants a second date and she’s an independent woman who also happens to be his business rival. He can’t stop trying to talk to her and she can’t stop thinking about him. It was all fun and light-hearted and I really enjoyed reading this. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Priscilla ends up taking home someone who crashes their mixer. Rand didn’t tell her his whole name. Instead he left his business card when he left during the night. They weren’t expecting to fall in love. But when Priscilla realized that Rand was their competition she swore she hated him. Rand was determined to make her change her mind. Fun and exciting story

Watching sparks and tempers fly between Pris and Rand was entertaining and fun. Running competing matchmaking businesses might not scream perfect match but the chemistry was palpable.

The Naughty List is a fun contemporary romance by M.C. Cerny. Ms. Cerny has provided readers with a well-written book and filled it with an outstanding cast of characters. This book is written in first person, alternating point of view, not my favorite format. Priscilla works for her mother’s matchmaking business and meets Rand at a mixer. Rand doesn’t tell her he’s a competitor. Pris and Rand’s story is loaded with drama, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by M.C. Cerny. The Naughty List is part of The Matchmaker Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was sweet and entertaining but once I finished it I noticed so many odd things about it. First, the title doesn’t really have anything to do with the book whatsoever with the exception of a comment made on the second page and it didn’t really make sense why it was mentioned even then. Second, it seemed the author threw in the concept of a reality show but never fleshed out any details about it at all. Third, I didn’t get how Pris could set aside her anger and distrust over Rand’s deceipt so easily. Fourth, in the preface it mentions matchmaker Carla Monroe secretly setting up her wild daughter with a match but no mention of how she managed it from abroad, or why or how it involved their competitor until the epilogue. And fifth, Finn absolutely freaks out when he thinks their competition is moving in on his sister and by the end no explanation why he suddenly seems just fine with it. Overall, it felt like too many details were left on the proverbial cutting room floor.
I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed it until I realized the book was over.

This is a great forbiddrn but sweet love story. Priscilla’s family runs a match making company & whilst at one of the matches evenings she gets swept off her feet by Rand James leaving with him much to the annoyance of her PA Andrea. What she doesn’t know is that the hot guy who has swept her off her feet the night before then left her waking up alone to find he’d left his business card which showed he was actually Rand Knights her family’s company opposition the enemy basically. She is livid but no matter how hard she tries to stay away from him or how much her brother hates him she cannot help the pull she feels towards him. What started out as him using her to get info on the opposition starts to feel more like actual feelings for her. I couldn’t stop reading desperately hoping that they could overcome their differences & put business aside to admit to actually loving each other.

A funny romance of a matchmaker Mom and a feisty daughter!
by Happy-girl
This romance is delightful. You feel like the female character: P. J is free and funny!
Even if, at first, she is cheated by Rand, the competition, she gets soon even by hitting his Lamborghini with her foot, making a dent on the side…. and breaking that foot!!!
Rand is a nice guy, he tries to make up and doesn’t immediately repair his “pretty boy car”!!! And he takes her to an Ed Sheeran concert! As an Ed fan, I loved it!
And you guess the matchmaker Mom planned their attraction from the beginning … sure! She is a Professional Matchmaker!!!
This romance is worth reading, as are the other two of the series.

Wow talk about a fiery relationship Rand and Patrica have it and much more. The characters are amazingly written with the chemistry being off the chart. The storyline flowed smoothly.

Many laugh-out-loud moments. This book started with an incredible amount of energy and momentum. I laughed so hard due to the intelligent and witty banter and dialogue. The characters were all developed and described very well, the scene progressions and tension situations were placed perfectly to the points in the story that made the most impact. The explosive, steamy connection and the development of an often, ill-advised relationship between Rand and Priscilla formed the backbone of the storyline. Should two feuding business owners have sex? Well, a few choice expletives, a dented Lamborghini, a broken ankle and some serious self-doubt later, our heroes decide that they are better off together than apart. Their HEA at the end had been so down-played however, that it was practically just implied, which is the only thing that let this otherwise very entertaining book down for me. The outcome of the merger between the two companies had not really been touched upon, The ending came upon me so suddenly, it made my head reel. Were they just pawns in Carla’s well-intended game, the meddling matriarch, the optimistic matchmaker who also found her happy ending? Good editing enhanced the experience of this romantic page-turner.

Oh what a perfect romance or romances! Love the characters, they’re just crazy. I like how the girls support and stick up for each other. They each have so depth. I’m still wondering who is running the show.
