Not your usual mystery, A quirky genius biologist becomes a serial killer crime solver. Science, thriller, touch of romance. Unique read.
Original plot, made me look at something in a different light. Couldn’t put it down.
Engaging unpredictable mystery
Quite surprising the direction this book took after only a few chapters. The protagonist, Theo Cray, is engaging.
For lovers of csi procedural, this is another perspective on how knowledge can be used to solve crimes.
I really enjoyed the lead character and how his mind worked.
I could not put this book down. I was up ’til 5a.m. reading. I became completely engrossed in the story and the characters. I immediately wanted to read the next book in the series.
I loved the characters, even though some of the occurrences were not very believable. I had a hard time with the attitudes of the police in some of the small towns, but other than that, what a great story.
Too implausible. Started out with some promise but went down hill from there.
Incredible! I loved all the science, and was fully engaged in the mystery. This guy really knows how to construct a story.
I’d give it 6 stars if I could! Loved it!
writing was good
Not a horror story, but definitely some intense moments. Great protagonist, with an interesting gimmick. Could use just a bit of tightening, but not bad. Looking forward to more in the series.
Great read. Looking forward to his nex t book.
Pretty slow.
This book gives an entirely different view and method of solving the murders in a community. The protagonist is humble with his insights about these murders but is exceptionally knowledgeable in his field. When he applies his expertise to solve the murders, we learn a whole new approach to crime resolution.
Unique protagonist. One of those stories that conveys a real education as well as entertains you.
Slow and the main character was not believable at all
I really enjoyed the emphasis on science and the likeable scientist who is the main character trying to solve a series of murders.
As a biologist, I loved the science in this book, but you don’t need to be a science
junkie to love this book. You’ll love the main character and the plot is like nothing
I’ve read in a mystery for a long time – unusual but fascinating. You’ll love it!
