**Now a USA Today Bestseller!** Lisa Hodges needs to make a decision fast. Thanks to her dead husband’s gambling addiction, their savings is almost gone. In her early fifties with a large, waterfront home on Nantucket to support, Lisa hasn’t worked in over thirty years, has no in-demand skills and is virtually unemployable. Her only options are to sell the house and move off-island, or, she could … and move off-island, or, she could use her cooking and entertaining skills and turn her home into a bed and breakfast. She desperately needs it to succeed because she has four grown children with problems of their own and wants to stay close to them.
Her oldest daughter, Kate, has a fabulous career in Boston–working as a writer for a popular fashion magazine and engaged to a dangerously handsome, photographer, who none of them have met.
Kate’s twin, local artist, Kristen, has been reasonably content with her on-again off-again relationship with an older, separated businessman.
Her son, Chase, runs his own construction business and is carefree, happily dating here and there but nothing serious.
Youngest daughter, Abby, is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they’ve been trying to have a baby. But it hasn’t happened yet, and Abby wonders if it’s a sign that maybe their marriage isn’t as perfect as everyone thinks.
Come visit Nantucket and see how Lisa’s new bed and breakfast has an impact on almost everyone in her family. It’s the first book in a new series that will follow the Hodges family, friends, and visitors to Nantucket’s Beach Plum Cove Inn.

Cozy read
Wonderful book about Nantucket. Great character development. Interesting family dynamics. Can’t wait to read further books in the series v
When you need a good distraction this is a pleasant choice. Good characters and realistic plots
Just found it too much like other books! I gave it the 50 page test and finally gave it up!
If you want to take a pleasant break from these troubled times, travel to Nantucket. The matriarch in the family finds herself in unexpected financial peril. She decides to turn her home into a bed and breakfast. She and her daughters …all interesting characters …find themselves in life changing situations. They meet new and dynamic friends who add to the story. All in all , a delightful read. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
Sweet story. Lovely lazy day read
Just a fun beach book.
Love all things Nantucket!
Terrible book, poorly written, tawdry!
It is an easy-to-read story and great for a cozy night with a cup of tea.
This book was fine but had no real substance. It was cool and predictable, just another bed & breakfast fantasy story.
Very well written, interesting characters. I didn’t want it to end.
light reading and feel good book
Couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read the rest in the series
This was a fast easy read and pretty predictable I did enjoy it.
The book was easy to read. A feel good story for these troubling times!
A lovely escape from the craziness of our current world. Bought the second book immediately to see what else transpires…I want to visit the inn….
This was a fun book to read because it was clean, fun, and risk taking in several
Parts. It showed family love and loyalty. I enjoy reading something that doesn’t have parts that just don’t seem to fit. This was a comfortable read?
Light, sweet storytelling about a family’s changing love lives. The story did not focus on a given family member (it seemed to cover 3 out of 5) and I felt like it skipped over time and events without going into enough detail. I finished it but am not reading the rest of the series.
delightful story about family and the trials of life many of us face
