**Now a USA Today Bestseller!** Lisa Hodges needs to make a decision fast. Thanks to her dead husband’s gambling addiction, their savings is almost gone. In her early fifties with a large, waterfront home on Nantucket to support, Lisa hasn’t worked in over thirty years, has no in-demand skills and is virtually unemployable. Her only options are to sell the house and move off-island, or, she could … and move off-island, or, she could use her cooking and entertaining skills and turn her home into a bed and breakfast. She desperately needs it to succeed because she has four grown children with problems of their own and wants to stay close to them.
Her oldest daughter, Kate, has a fabulous career in Boston–working as a writer for a popular fashion magazine and engaged to a dangerously handsome, photographer, who none of them have met.
Kate’s twin, local artist, Kristen, has been reasonably content with her on-again off-again relationship with an older, separated businessman.
Her son, Chase, runs his own construction business and is carefree, happily dating here and there but nothing serious.
Youngest daughter, Abby, is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they’ve been trying to have a baby. But it hasn’t happened yet, and Abby wonders if it’s a sign that maybe their marriage isn’t as perfect as everyone thinks.
Come visit Nantucket and see how Lisa’s new bed and breakfast has an impact on almost everyone in her family. It’s the first book in a new series that will follow the Hodges family, friends, and visitors to Nantucket’s Beach Plum Cove Inn.

Book is an easy-read. Easy to figure plot. Cute story, but not totally exciting.
This was a “feel good” book that was just a pleasure to read.
New author for me. Want to read lots more!
Good story and likeable characters.
Nice easy read.
I thought at first the main character and her family had too many “problems” brewing, but its the set-up for additional books in a series. The characters are likable and at the end, I was interested in knowing what happens next. Reminiscent of Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove series.
an easy. pleasant read
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and the characters in the story. Having never been to Nantucket I also enjoyed the descriptions.
Super characters. Fast read. More, please.
A great story about family and how they supported each other through the trials of life.
I have only read the sample and am going to buy the book based on that.
I liked this book. Will most likely buy any others that come out if this is a series.
This book was well written and I empathized with the characters. It made Nantucket come alive for me and, even though I have never been there, I felt that I had enjoyed
a visit there.
This book makes me want to plan a Nantucket holiday!
Wonderful story! The characters’s profiles were very well built. I’m invested in the entire Hodges family and can’t wait to read more of this series!
easy read & not full of descriptive sex but good story
Loved it . Waiting for the next book in the series
This was an entertaining read and I plan to keep going in the series.
This is a feel-good novel with rich characters, perfect for those days when you want to cuddle up on the couch with a blanket, the cat, and a cup of tea or hot cocoa.
This a warm story about family and friends. It just makes you feel good.
