**Now a USA Today Bestseller!** Lisa Hodges needs to make a decision fast. Thanks to her dead husband’s gambling addiction, their savings is almost gone. In her early fifties with a large, waterfront home on Nantucket to support, Lisa hasn’t worked in over thirty years, has no in-demand skills and is virtually unemployable. Her only options are to sell the house and move off-island, or, she could … and move off-island, or, she could use her cooking and entertaining skills and turn her home into a bed and breakfast. She desperately needs it to succeed because she has four grown children with problems of their own and wants to stay close to them.
Her oldest daughter, Kate, has a fabulous career in Boston–working as a writer for a popular fashion magazine and engaged to a dangerously handsome, photographer, who none of them have met.
Kate’s twin, local artist, Kristen, has been reasonably content with her on-again off-again relationship with an older, separated businessman.
Her son, Chase, runs his own construction business and is carefree, happily dating here and there but nothing serious.
Youngest daughter, Abby, is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they’ve been trying to have a baby. But it hasn’t happened yet, and Abby wonders if it’s a sign that maybe their marriage isn’t as perfect as everyone thinks.
Come visit Nantucket and see how Lisa’s new bed and breakfast has an impact on almost everyone in her family. It’s the first book in a new series that will follow the Hodges family, friends, and visitors to Nantucket’s Beach Plum Cove Inn.

Enjoyed this book, looking forward to the next book in the series.
Happy endings amidst complications and heartache.
I love the entire series.
Rather blah
I was a fun read, light and entertaining.
Wonderful story of family helping family. Readers will be eager to read the rest of this series! Would definitely recommend.
I already knew that I enjoyed Pamela Kelley’s story telling. I was anxious to read this book and it didn’t disappoint. Lisa has a lovely home right on the beach in Nantucket. She became a widow two years before the book starts and she has recently discovered that her late husband had a gambling habit and squandered their nest egg.
She decides to turn her home into a bed and breakfast. Meanwhile three of her four children are having relationship problems. This book tells all of their stories. While there is a smattering of romance, I think this book is more about a loving family supporting each other through the tough times and beginning new lives.
It’s very well done and I look forward to reading the next books in this series.
This was a sweet story. Clean with no foul language and steamy scenes. But for a woman who opens a B & B, she doesn’t seem to have to work very hard. That didn’t seem to realistic.
Kept your interest and was entertaining.
Sweet and easy read but too predictable.
I liked it and I’ll go on to read the rest of the Nantucket series. It was a little predictable but that’s OK because it was a very ‘calming’ read and it was a nice change from some of the thrillers I read. It wasn’t sappy or anything, just a nice relaxing book!
Liked it so much!!!! Needed a feel good book at this time….. perfect
Excellent…great character development and variety…thoroughly enjoyed!
I loved reading this book. great read
Lovely characters
What a heart warming book this is! A woman who recently lost her husband finds out he was a gambler and she is left with nothing but a very expensive house. She has 4 children-some of the nicest kids you would ever want to meet-but each of them is having problems as well.
She has no marketable skills except for cooking and entertaining. The house is big and she decides to try and start a Bed and Breakfast. All the kids (really adults) end up helping in one way or another as they all try to solve their problems.
They all succeed with a bit of help and although the Bed and Breakfast takes a bit longer–all’s well that ends well. I am sure you are going to love this one!!
I enjoyed the characters interaction and the family connections. I eventually read in entire series and pre-order the next book in the series.
Very easy to read. I enjoyed reading a book that I knew would have a happy ending in the end.
Hood for light reading. Disappointed it didn’t go farther with the characters lives
I enjoyed this book immensely
