Agatha Christie’s genius for detective fiction is unparalleled. Her worldwide popularity is phenomenal, her characters engaging, her plots spellbinding. No one knows the human heart—or the dark passions that can stop it—better than Agatha Christie. She is truly the one and only Queen of Crime.
The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd

It is what one expects of Agatha Christie, wonderful!
This book was voted the best story some years ago and, if you get to the end, you will see why it may start like the traditional Agatha Christie book but is much more than that.
Entertaining and certainly a must read book
I had never read Agatha Christie but after reading this book, I understand why she is called the Queen of Mystery writers. The story captures you on the first page and holds you to the last. There are twist and turns in the plot and ever changing suspects. And in the end Hercule Poirot figures it all out and delivers a surprising solution. …
One of the best mysteries ever written. Totally unexpected, excellently crafted. It is one of a kind. Truly remarkable.
I’d forgotten how delicious a book this was. Well worth re-reading.
This is easily one of my favorite books (and I have a lot of them). This book will mess with your head and then slap you silly with an ending that is STUNNING!! Ms. Christie outdid herself with this literary gem.
All the clues are there – it’s just not the ending you expect. Fabulous!
Agatha Christie is such a good writer! I read all her books in high school and enjoyed them, and now going back and reading them again (after mostly (fortunately) forgetting the endings) I’m enjoying them all over again! They are fairly unpredictable mysteries, but the true genius of them is the characters, who you almost always can “recognize” in …
Christie’s first Poirot novel remain in my top three favorites with the eccentric Belgian detective.
Agatha Christie murders are the best…
How could you go wrong reading a classic Story from Agatha !
To predictable.
Another great book by Agatha Christie
A must for all mystery fans. She set a new standard with this book and its surprising ending.
I finally surrendered to the inevitable and read an Agatha Christie book and it is safe to say I am a total convert. I now understand why she’s the absolute queen of mystery writing. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is one of Christie’s novels that centre around her famous detective character, Hercule Poirot and many consider it to be the greatest …
This was the first Agatha Christie book I ever read, and will always be my favorite. I reread it often from a craft standpoint. This is an entertaining whodunit that will leave you guessing.
I started reading Agatha when an old lady (about 45 years old recommended her to this then teenager. Have read and reread each and every book loving Jane and Hercules in particular. Always a corner turned unexpectedly with Agatha. I am now eighty years of age and still loving a good tale.
This is the book by the fluffy little author that will do your head in. All the rules, out the window!
I read mysteries in between denser reads and Agatha Christie is one author who never disappoints me. In this particular case, Dr James Sheppard meets his old acquaintance Roger Ackroyd for supper and minutes later, Ackroyd is found murdered. This is one of the cleverest mysteries I have ever read. The plot is dazzling and it’s execution is …
I always enjoy Agatha Christie
Another winner
