I LOVED this book!! I only gave it a 4 because I figured out who did it very early on! But I loved reading it still!!
I like finding new series to read. This one is an historical set murder mystery. I will probably go on to reading more of Benson’s books.
it was so good plz make more and sub to my youtube channle GoatY SolaR
Got bored after three chapters
Written in an older style, but still interesting. I found it predictable.
An entertaining locked room murder mystery set in 18th century England. Charles returns to London after eight years in South Africa still smitten by a lost love. He joins a house party with a small cast of other characters and ends up in the middle of a murder investigation. The first person point of view worked, but it’s not my favorite form …
A well packaged story, interesting with a fair ending
Easy to read but predictable.
i think that i enjoyed this book very much
Sort of like Downton Abbey but a mystery which did not work for me.
Really was not impressed but, I am not a huge fan of the 20th century settings as I am of Victorian era. It was readable and ok for free

Some interestung characters, but plot predictable in an Agatha Christie way. A light enjoyable read.
Pretty slow. Seems like it would be a good story but it just hasn’t pick up yet and I’m more than a quarter into it. Probably won’t read another one from this author.
I thought it was a British ” Murder She Wrote” type of story. I loved it!
Very good!

Enjoyable, easy to read series that are great for curling up with on a rainy day.
Very predictable.
Great read. Kept me guessing who killer was
Slow. Very, very …slow. I knew “who did it” quite early on. No period detail or descriptive writing, rather too much emphasis on unnecessary details that add nothing to the story. Shallow characters.
