Good whodunit
loved reading this book.
A classic murder mystery at an English country house in the 1920’s, complete with a houseful of rich dinner guests, a woman who calls her husband “Boopsie,” a murder designed to look like an accident, an inspector who gathers everyone in the drawing room and tells them not to leave until the investigation is done, a flighty new widow who had …
Engaging main character and nice plot development. Keeps one interested.
The main character was interesting enough, but there wasn’t really enough new information or twists to keep it worth the read.
A very good English “cozy’ mystery with interesting characters and a good mystery. I look forward to reading more in the series.
Fun, old-fashioned mystery!
I enjoyed this book tremendously!!
If you love Agatha Christie novel you love these
Had all the right elements, but main character seemed to “fizzle out” as story progressed, and consequently so did plot.
Not a murder mystery, obvious almost from the beginning who did it
May not be for me. Not enough story. I love the genre but this one was too slow. Rare I do not finish a book but finally quit this one.
Lots of red herrings.
Interesting.
Kept my attention from beginning to end
I am on book # 4 and I have really enjoyed Mrs. Marchmont. I have already recommended this series of books to a friend of mine and can’t wait to read the other books. There were times I couldn’t sleep because I had to find out what happened next.
Definitely British! I love British mysteries and am always glad to find a new author. I’ll definitely be reading more of these.
This story reminds me of another story I read, but I still enoyed it.
I read this book in one evening because I could not put it down!
Great historical mystery.
Loved the book and have read several more by this author.
