New York reporter Paige MacKenzie has a hidden motive when she heads to the small town of Timberton, Montana. Assigned to research the area’s unique Yogo sapphires for the Manhattan Post, she hopes to reconnect romantically with handsome cowboy Jake Norris. The local gem gallery offers the material needed for the article, but the discovery of an old diary, hidden inside the wall of a historic … hotel, soon sends her on a detour into the underworld of art and deception.
Each of the town’s residents holds a key to untangling more than one long-buried secret, from the hippie chick owner of a new age café to the mute homeless man in the town park. As the worlds of western art and sapphire mining collide, Paige finds herself juggling research, romance and danger. With stolen sapphires and shady characters thrown into the mix, will Paige escape the consequences of her own curiosity?

Fun light reading
A good, entertaining easy read!
Enjoyable read.
An ok light read. Enjoyed the Montana and Wyoming setting.
The scenic and light read that I enjoy. Happy ever after adventure.
Wonderful read for the hopeless romantic.
Also read the two following books from Moonglow series
Light easy reading that’s interesting…characters are very well developed. Well-written enough to jump into the series without having read the previous book.
Ms Garner’s books are rapidly joining my “favorites list”. .. and I’ve only read two. She developes rich, full bodied, very believable characters, and short, sweet plots that, most times, move along rapidly, great trip or bedtime reading too.
Light easy and enjoyable read
It was great
I really did not figure out the villa until the very end good book!
I feel bad when I don’t give a book a good review because I can’t write books so literally anything would be better than I can do. Okay, maybe not anything-there was a book once that I think even I could have done better. Anyway, these characters are not interesting and they do not behave the way real people behave. I read the book before this …
i liked it – a quick read
I never remember total plots. Always enjoy Deborah Garner.
A fun cozy mystery. A light read for a busy world.
Excellent book. I now have 3 of the series and enjoyed all of them
I love everything she has written. Always one of a kind and thoroughly enjoyable.
