“I wanted this man’s arms around me, cocooning me in safety. I wanted to feel like I didn’t have to be brave for a few hours. I wanted to let him be my courage. My protection. My shield.”Cameron Whitbury—billionaire aerospace mogul—can engineer her way out of any problem. Sure, she’s living with the threat of a potential sex scandal thanks to her lying ex. And that attempted mugging in her … attempted mugging in her parking garage might not have been a random attack.
But she’s totally got this. Sacrifice her privacy to an overprotective bodyguard? No thanks. She doesn’t need a six-foot-five, motorcycle-riding, square-jawed, hazel-eyed man-beast shadowing her every move.
Jude Ellis—one-man security operation and professional problem solver—is ready to retire from the cloak and dagger stuff to live a normal life. He doesn’t need another client. Not even one with coppery-red hair and mile-long legs who looks hot AF in a sexy pair of heels.
To appease her worried friends, Cameron hires Jude as her bodyguard. And despite their feisty banter and their rampant—and totally inappropriate—sex fantasies, they’re both determined to keep it professional.
But as the danger to Cameron escalates, the heat simmering between them just might combust.
Author’s note: Big wall-of-man hero with a fierce (and growly) protective streak. Confident and snarky heroine. All the banter. Sex in a closet. And a daring rescue with a big, heart squishing HEA.
The Bluewater Billionaires are four shared-world hot romantic comedies written by Lucy Score, Claire Kingsley, Kathryn Nolan, and Pippa Grant. They can all be read as stand-alone novels.

Great addition to the Bluewater Billionaires. Really nice, fun read.
Well edited.
Cameron’s friends are concerned about her safety. Because she won’t take it seriously, Emily gets Derek (See The Price of Scandal – Lucy Score) to convince his friend Jude to be a temporary bodyguard for Cam. Jude is reluctant, after all he keeps trying to retire. However, he agrees to check into things and keep Cam safe. It isn’t long before the threat to Cam is shown to be real. But who is after her? And why? And, what happens when the professional boundary is crossed? Will Cam and Jude learn to trust each other? When the villain takes Cam, will Jude be in time to save her?
Lots of fun, laughter, and love to be had in these pages. Also, great visits with Emily, Derek, Luna, and Daisy. Not to mention the crazy that is Bluewater. Oh, and the appearance of a certain group of authors is really quirky. Looking forward to Luna’s story. Enjoy!
This is the second book in the Bluewater Billionaire series and while you can read it as a stand alone, why would you when you can get 4 strong women if you read all the books. So in this book we get to know Cam or Cameron Whitbury who is a billionaire aerospace mogul. She is not just smart and nerdy she is stunning and beautiful as well. We meet Cam as someone has attempted to mug her. Or so she thinks.
Enter Jude Ellis is a ex military/CIA agent who Derek and Emily have hired as a fixer and security for Cam. BUT Cam doesn’t think she needs it until someone attempts to run her down on a sidewalk. More things happen and of course life is never boring when you have a strong woman and a strong man together in one place. Life gets very interesting very fast. This book has laughter, romance and yes mystery as well. We get to catch up on characters from the first book and get to know more about the characters who we will be enjoying in upcoming books. Wait until you meet some of the critters in Bluewater community. I love them.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it immensely. Someone is after Cam and she reluctantly hires Jude as her bodyguard. As things get increasingly dangerous will Jude be able to keep her safe and figure out who is out to get her? I liked seeing the development of the romance between Cam and Jude, and although I had the bad person figured out early on I liked how we got to the climax of the story. I loved Cam and Jude’s surrounding friends, and I am looking forward to the other books in this multi-author series.
This is the second book in the Bluewater Billionaires series. The Billionaire in question is Cameron Whitbury, CEO of Spencer Aeronautics. After almost being mugged in her work parking garage, her friends hire Jude Ellis to be her bodyguard. Of course, they initially clash and Cameron doesn’t think she needs a bodyguard for some random mugging. When other incidents follow, Jude and Cameron have to figure out who is trying to harm her. This book has a lot of steam, a little suspense and very likable characters.
Ever begin reading a book and you know it’s going to be good because the author has never let you down before, but then BAM!, it exceeds your expectations and you aren’t sure how that was possible? Welcome to my feelings for The Mogul and the Muscle. Claire Kingsley has written an amazing bada*# heroine, a muscly and swoony hero (holy crap I about melted in the marshmallow scene) and a story that has a perfect amount of heat, lightness and a little bit of mystery. A solid 5-star read!
This book was such a fun read. I’m always in for a good bodyguard storyline, but in The Mogul and the Muscle, it had so much more. The two main characters were fantastic. Cameron Whitbury is the billionaire CEO of Spencer Aeronautics, she is confident, tough, independent and may be in some trouble. She honestly does not see it but with a nudge (or shove) from her 3 best friends she reluctantly agrees to hire a bodyguard. This is where Jude Ellis comes into play. After life in the Marines, then the CIA and the last few years as a one-man security expert, he is tired of that life. He wants to just retire and have a normal life, maybe play golf or open a food truck. Unfortunately he is persuaded into one more job. From their very first meeting, Jude felt that tingling sensation at the back of his neck. Partly the attraction but also felt that Cameron was actually in danger. He takes charge, he is protective and all swoony. I adored him.
I loved the banter between these two! They tried so hard to remain professional but as danger against Cameron intensifies so does the feelings between these two. The chemistry is smoldering and some of those scenes were hot! And the parts when all four of the “vagillionaires” get together was all so fun and just plain awesome!
Book 2 in this fantastic series by some fantastic authors was definitely a 5-star read. I can not wait for the next 2!
I love this writer.
I can always feel that she writes from her soul.
Jude Elis, is a former Marine and CIA spy.
He’s seen things, no one should have to see.
He wants to retire and lead a normal life.
The problem is, he keeps getting hired for side jobs that he has skills for.
When Cameron Whitbury, gets mugged in a parking garage, her other Billionaire friends feel she needs a bodyguard, and convince her to hire Jude.
As they try to keep things professional, the risk to her life escalates and they start to fall for each other.
Cameron, may just be the woman he is looking too settle down with.
Jude, allows her to be herself and that is just what Cameron needs.
This book had everything; mystery, intrigue, kidnapping and as always a happy ever after.
Another great read, from an awesome author.
Jude and Cameron’s story: the second book in the Bluewater Billionaires can be read as a stand-alone. Cameron is an aerospace engineer running a huge company and a billionaire with a love for awesome shoes. Jude is a former Marine and CIA agent who has been working private security jobs and trying to find a “normal” life. Friends and circumstances bring them together. As they try to figure out who and why someone is possibly trying to hurt Cameron, they end up spending a lot of time together and sparks fly.
I really enjoyed getting inside Jude’s head. He is a wall of man with a teddy bear heart- *sigh*. In other words he has the strength and skill to protect his girl in any situation and the heart to never use it against her- always treating her with respect and tenderness. *sigh* Yeah, I fell in love with Jude Ellis.
Cameron is strong, smart, and 100% kick-ass. In her world, she is the boss and it is amazing. Her shoe taste is to-die-for, and her golf cart is tricked out to perfection.
Their characters get to know each other and learn to trust each other and have a moment when they share intimate details to each other at the less than perfect time. Ultimately it works for them and they have their HEA. Also, do not miss the heart-pounding, uber-romantic bonus epilogue. I highly recommend this book and this series. I can’t wait for the next book.
The Mogul and the Muscle by Claire Kingsley, the second book in the Bluewater Billionaires series, is a contemporary, forced proximity, bodyguard, romantic comedy told in first person, dual POV. This series takes the billionaire trope and reverses it so that instead of the typical billionaire hero, all the books feature billionaire heroines – four smart, strong, powerful women who are also best friends.
In The Mogul and the Muscle, we meet aerospace mogul, Cameron Whitbury, CEO of Spencer Aeronautics and co-founder of the exclusive Bluewater community. Cam is gorgeous, hardworking, innovative, and independent. A brilliant businesswoman and creative engineer. After a failed mugging attempt in her parking garage that her friends suspect was not a random event, they hire a bodyguard, Jude Ellis, to protect her. Former Marine and retired CIA operative, Jude is a strong, mysterious, gentle mountain of a man. Despite a mutual attraction, Cam doesn’t want a bodyguard underfoot, watching her every move, but she goes along with it to appease her worried friends.
Will Cam and Jude give in to their attraction? Was the attack a random occurrence? or is somebody out to harm Cam? Will Jude succeed in keeping her safe? Read and find out!
I loved Jude and Cam’s story! They were both well-developed and loveably flawed characters that were perfectly matched. Their quick wit and chemistry were great. This is such a fun series! I’m looking forward to getting to know Luna and Daisy in the upcoming Bluewater Billionaire books. This entertaining, suspenseful story is full of humor and heart. Highly recommended!
The first two books in The BlueWater Billionare series have been an absolute blast!
Cameron seems like such a sweet, easygoing person, not at all standoffish, and she meshes well with Judes far more closed off nature, and his need to have such a tightly controlled environment.
This book is fun, funny and SO SEXY! I enjoyed the suspense not being too heavy and scary, and the times that all four lady billionares had girls nights out were hilarious. Nothing too heavy in this book, just a light hearted fun-filled romp through Miami.
This is the 2nd book in the Bluewater Billionaires series. I love a woman in charge that is self-made and this is Cam. Bring in a tall, built, hot bodyguard and you are in for a good time! OMG – I was laughing hysterically at 80’s night in Bluewater. And totally sign me up to read and vote for Jude as a cover model!
Claire Kingsley continuously amazes me with the writing ability. She takes strong independent woman and pairs them up with men who can handle them.. Her writing is always spot on with a Roller coaster of emotions that leave you hanging on. She creates a world that you can relate to and envision yourself and the chat after together.
This story is a strong, independent woman who is forced to hire a bodyguard. Sparks fly when they meet and you can feel the chemistry through the pages. As you read their story, you become emotionally involved. It is one you need to read for yourself. Highly recommend!!
Book 2 in the Bluewater Billionaires series is by Claire Kingsley and she does not disappoint. You have hired body guard Jude Ellis who is asked to help Cameron Whitbury when her friend’s think an incident isn’t random. They keep it professional with a few fun flirty jabs at one another until things in Cameron’s life intensify and she no longer feels safe, and then the heat between these two will burn a hole in you kindle! You see all the usual suspects from book 1, even some Drag Queen Brunch with the “mysterious authors”. The power struggle between the billionaire Cameron and the wall of muscle Jude is always entertaining!
The second installment of the Bluewater Billionaires is here! And ITS HOT! This one is written by none other than Claire Kingsley. When I saw the opportunity to read the ARC for a review, I jumped so high, I swear I thought I was Michael Jordan going for a slam dunk!
The Bluewater Billionaires are back with another installment, this time focusing on the beautiful and classy Cameron! She is my GIRL CRUSH Y’ALL! Seriously, ALL THE FEELS FOR HER! Being a red head myself, I felt an instant connection to her and I was so excited for her story!
Add in the muscle bound bodyguard who knows just the right things to say, and fireworks are guaranteed to happen! Jude is probably one of my favorite hero’s that Claire has written, and that is saying a lot because I happen to LOVE LOVE LOVE the Miles Family (check out her Miles Family series if you haven’t, it’s AMAZING!)
When Cameron gets almost mugged, her friends pester and pester her to hire a bodyguard. Enter Jude. He’s everything Cameron refuses to want. She is strong, fierce and knows she can handle herself. But when the stakes raise higher and higher, Jude comes to be just what she needs! And when they come together, its legit so steamy I had to open some windows to cool the house down. My kindle was set on fire, I had to take a breather and I seriously had to get a nice cold drink of water. IT WAS HOT!
If you haven’t read the series, I suggest starting with The Price of Scandal by Lucy Score, as it’s the first book in the series. These four books are sure to tickle your fancy, make you swoon and have you laughing out loud! I am honestly super excited for the next installment, written by Kathryn Nolan coming out soon!
Until next time!!
5 stars
The Mogul and The Muscle is the second in the Bluewater Billionaire’s series and can be read as a standalone.
Jude Ellis can’t seem to retire. Out of all the things in life he’s done, Marines, CIA, security operative, etc, it’s the one things he’s truly awful at, well except for golf but that’s a work in progress. Despite being referral only, he’s constantly busy but thankfully, it did afford him the luxury of only taking the jobs he wants. He’s reluctant when his buddy tells him about a friend in need of security assistance…because retired…but after meeting Cameron Whitfield, the job might not be long enough.
Cameron Whitfield is impressive. The billionaire CEO of Spencer Aeronautics would be impressive no matter who it was but as one of the few women in the executive aeronautics arena, she’s ridiculously impressive. After a recent attempted mugging, Cameron’s friends insist are needs security but she can’t stand the thought of giving up her independence. Until she meets Jude, he’s the incredible Hulk without turning green but the more she’s around him, the more she finds to like.
I loved everything about this book. Jude and Cameron were fabulous together and the rest of the Bluewater Billionaires are a riot. I hadn’t read the first book yet but I just bought and can’t wait for more!

The Mogul and The Muscle is a steamy bodyguard romance. We met Cameron and Jude in Faking Ms. Right. I was so excited to get a book on them, and it did not disappoint! We do also see that Everly and Shep scene from Cameron and Jude’s POV. This is the second in the Bluewater Billionaires series. But, it is a complete standalone. There’s a good summary of the first book, and we did meet the heroines of the third and fourth book. I think this was actually my favorite part. The friendships between these girls was so fun!
Cameron is smart, sweet, and thoughtful CEO. She was very easy to love. Jude is Cameron’s bodyguard, ex military and CIA, serious, intimidating yet still funny. Cameron has an attempted burglary in a parking garage and her friends meddled and sent Jude her way. He doesn’t think it was a one-time attempt, and she agrees to keep him on. There is a little bit of a mystery as we try to find out who is attacking Cameron. The attacks escalate and Cam and Jude get closer. I liked these two together. It was a fun, entertaining read and I would definitely recommend it.
* I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I want the billions…without all the hard work
It’s slightly disappointing for me that the Bluewater Billionaires actually have to work hard for their money. Yes, it’s probably realistic and even in The Mogul and the Muscle, we had proof that nothing comes for free. But, wouldn’t it be awesome to have the fancy house, car and clothes, without having to slave away for theses extravagances? It also seems that with the billions come targets on your back. The four women we meet are hard-working, determined and independent. When their lives are in danger, they will not take it sitting down. They will not expect someone else to save them. These women work hard for their money, so hard for their money (sing it with me) they work hard for their money, so you better treat them right.
Sorry, corny but I couldn’t help myself.
I really enjoyed this next instalment to the Bluewater Billionaires series and loved getting to know Cameron and Jude better. The storyline captured my attention, the characters were original and the love story made my heart pitter-patter. I also loved that both Cameron and Jude grew a lot from the beginning to the end. Both of them had a tendency to protect their hearts and guard against vulnerability. It’s only as the story developed and Cameron’s life is put into danger, that they have come to realise how much they mean to each other.
Honestly, while I love this series so far and enjoyed The Mogul and the Muscle, I think it lacked a little depth. I wanted to know more about Cameron’s rise to the top and what moulded her into the strong woman she became. It also confused me that this very intelligent woman made such a bad decision with her ex. She left herself vulnerable and it didn’t really make sense to do nothing about his breaking their confidentiality agreement. Also, I understood that Jude’s past career was not up for discussion but there had to be more than just his job. I would have loved to see him find himself a little more before he committed to Cameron.
I am a fan of this series and I will definitely be back for more. It completely cracks me up to think of Luna matched with an ex-bikie.
If you’re looking for something a little different, I highly recommend giving this series a try.
Thank you Enticing Journey for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Mogul And The Muscle
Bluewater Billionaires #2
By: Claire Kingsley
*REVIEW*
This book is a refreshing change of scenery. Usually, it’s a billionaire guy and a not billionaire girl. The Mogul And The Muscle flips the narrative, so it’s a billionaire woman and a regular guy. This book is second in a series of four books about four bff/billionaire women(aptly nicknamed the vagillionaires lol). These women are relatable and tough. Here is the story of Cameron and Jude. Cameron is a ceo who is mugged in her parking garage. Her friends insist she needs protection, and they hire Jude. He is former CIA badass and all that, and it’s a job he’s more than qualified for. Cameron doesn’t feel like he’s needed. She is independent, intelligent and self reliant with a dash of sassy. She don’t need no man! Or does she? Jude is smoking hot, tough on the outside and intuitive. His protective attitude and attention might be just what Cameron needs after all. These two are electric, and I love the dialogue and banter between them. Jude feels that there is more to this seemingly random attack on Cameron. Once he truly develops feelings for her, he is even more dedicated to keeping Cameron safe. Is Jude correct, and someone is after Cameron? This story is fun to read because there are numerous secondary characters and hilarious hijinks that add a whole new level to the already engaging plot. I enjoyed everything about this story, and I definitely want to read about the three other fierce vagillionaires. The Mogul And The Muscle is swoony, relatable, dramatic, steamy and overall, just a delicious delightful treat. It’s girl power, and that’s awesome!
I liked the characters. Cameron and Jude gelled together really well. I was hoping that she would be a little more feisty though, Cameron was always too CEO image conscious. I was hoping to see her passion come out in her personality. Jude was a big protective Teddy bear.
I felt she could have gone for the closure with her ex, instead of Jude threatening him. It just made me feel like she was being treated like a lady that needs a man to solve her problems.
Jude and Cameron were everything! I absolutely loved having such a strong female lead who is backed by other strong females. Jude was all of my hero fantasies come true.
