The moment I heard Ryder’s voice I was a goner. As a photographer, I was used to working with beautiful people, but Ryder Williams was the most perfect male specimen that had ever stood before me. I knew without a doubt it would take no time at all for him to be the next big thing… or for him to steal my heart. Model and photographer, we shouldn’t cross that line, but there was no stopping the … was no stopping the passion we felt. Nothing else mattered. Not the age difference. Not that he was a client. Not even our pasts.
After my assistant caught us together, he was gone. I tried to put him out of my head, until fate threw him back into my life and my bed.
Time and time again we’re brought together, should I keep fighting or finally accept what my heart wants?
The Model is a stand-alone in the Love is Blind series. The series has crossover characters from each novel. It is not required to read the books in order, but it is recommended to enhance the reading experience.

The second book in the Love is Blind series, of an older woman Lexie a photographer, and the younger man Ryder a model. There is suspense, drama, danger, a crazy ex, a second chance and love. This is a must read story as far as I am concerned. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was the first book I have read from this author. It won’t be the last. The story was about an older photographer and a younger male model. The chemistry between them is overwhelming and they act on it. They try to make it work when their business takes them to different places in the world. Will they make it? Their story was definitely worth reading!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
The first thing that grabs you is this absolutely beautiful cover. Once you flip to the first page you quickly realize that this beauty runs deep. Harlow delivers yet another reverse age gap winner. Little time is wasted as Ryder and Lexie connect immediately and their chemistry runs hot and deep. A mentally unstable ex-boyfriend appears to present challenge after challenge for the pair. This couple is put through test after test and Harlow is a master in tugging at the heartstrings. What a great read.
This book was so good. Lexie is a photographer that helps many models boost their career. One of Ryder’s first shoots was with Lexie and they have a chemistry that is so hot and off the charts. They hook up but don’t see each other for months because they don’t have each other’s contact information. Then a photo shoot in Hawaii they run into each other and have a passion filled few days and get each other’s information to call and text. With Ryder’s career taking off he was traveling all over. Lexie ex came and hurt her and she wanted to see Ryder so they talked and she came to Rio to spend a week with him. That week was the best week of their lives, but sadly they needed to part. Which was hard but stayed in contact. Then a photo came out and hurt Lexie so bad that she didn’t even talk to him. She needed a new number. Ryder’s phone stoped working and some other factors made it hard for them to talk. Then there’s something that Lexie needs to tell him and needs to find a way to do it. Will Ryder be able to talk to Lexie and say his peace or will the heartache stay? Need to read this book.
wonderful story .. i really enjoyed it. she is a spirited lady and photographer, he is a rookie in the modeling world. from the first meeting crackling chemistry .. just wonderful. therefore 5 stars from me.

Lexie and Ryder were explosive together! From the beginning to the end they were off the charts amazing. This book caused so many emotions. I shed some tears and there were a few scary moments but in the end there was happiness and love. Harlow is awesome and this is another book that proves it!
Harlow Layne went above and beyond with this one. Seamlessly blending together the signature sweetness I always enjoy from her books with scorching heat. Typically I’m not big on older woman/younger man age gaps. There’s nothing wrong with them, I’ve just come to find when the woman is older it tends to frequently be made into a much bigger thing than if the situation were reversed and takes away from the story. That is most definitely not the case here. While it’s definitely brought up it’s also not a defining factor of Lexie and Ryder’s relationship.
Now, onto the goooooood stuff we all want to know, that heat! Holy combustible chemistry batman!! This is one of, if not the number one, hottest books Harlow Layne has written. Ryder and Lexie will have you fanning yourself frequently with how hot they are together. Add to that the real heartfelt emotion that exists between them and !!!
I loved this book! Lexie and Ryder had amazing chemistry. Great characters and an amazing story made this a great read!

Absolutely loved this book if was absolutely amazing
A longish read about Ryder and Lexie, he’s starting his modeling career and she’s a famous photographer, there’s an age gap but it’s not really an issue.
This was a hot and sweet light read.

So good! I love age gap romances and the author did a great job with this one. I look forward to reading more!
This book was amazing! The romance between Lexie and Ryder was amazing. I loved watching them deal with the craziness of their careers and travels. Watching them work so hard and explore their chemistry was so enthralling. Plus the added suspense of Lexie’s ex was great! I didn’t want to put the book down at all!!
Four and a Half Stars
“The Model” was my first read by Harlow Layne and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book for so many reasons:
It’s a reverse age gap romance
The heroine is sexy, sassy, independent and beautifully unique
The hero is drop dead gorgeous, humble, honest and just plain sweet
Their chemistry off the charts HOT and burns bright from the first time they meet
Their road to happily ever after isn’t easy but it will definitely keep you glued to your kindle as you furiously read through it.
TBR this fantastic read and enjoy. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
RATING 4.5 STARS
The Model is book two in the Love is Blind series by Harlow Layne. This book can be read as a stand alone. I have read the first book in the series, Intern, and enjoyed it so much but you don’t need to have read it to enjoy this book. I would call this an insta/lust/love age gap romance.
Lexie Keene is a photographer. She is thirty two years old. Lexie photographs beautiful people every single day but she was still shocked the day Ryder walked into her studio for a photo shoot. It was his voice that first called to every cell in her body. But when she turned around and saw him for the first time, she knew she was seeing the most beautiful man she had ever seen. Someone that looks like that and sounds like that must be rotten on the inside, right? Again Ryder surprised her when she realizes he was just as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. She knew this man’s career was just starting out, that it would be no time at all before he would be famous.
Ryder Williams is a twenty one year old model. His agent has him booked non-stop all over the world. He is glad to be working but never thought that he would be so lonely. The moment he saw Lexie he couldn’t believe how beautiful she was. And she was the best photographer he’d ever worked with. There was an instant connection between them that couldn’t be denied.
Ryder’s busy schedule whisks him off right after Lexie’s photo shoot to a new country, a new job. He never knew if he’d see her again. But eventually, fate put these two back together again. This time Ryder was determined not to let her slip away again.
“Each touch, each caress was like a sip of elixir that I never knew I needed. She was the balm to my lonely soul, and I never wanted to be apart from her.”
With two very busy careers and two very hectic schedules, Ryder and Lexie had to work very hard to keep their connection strong. At the same time, Lexie is dealing with an ex that has gone off the rails and has become dangerous.
With usually being in different countries, and all that is happening in their lives, Lexie and Ryder have to work hard to keep their connection strong. Is it even possible to pursue this thing between them? Can they ever be more than a friends with benefits that meet up once every few months?
This was such a good book, especially with the added bit of danger in the story. I loved these two together. The age difference never really seemed a factor to me. Ryder was a complete alpha. He was a dirty talking sexy hero that I loved. Let me tell you that Harlow has kicked up the steam factor to level five incinerator status in this book! These two were hotter than hot. They were also so good for each other, perfectly balanced I thought.
This was a page turner. I couldn’t put it down. I felt so bad for them both when things didn’t go their way and cheered when they did. Insta is one of my favorite things to read and I’m fast learning that this author is so good at writing it. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
“She illuminated my life with her sheer presence.”
4.5 stars!
I have never read anything by Harlow Layne and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one! This is book 2 of a series, but obviously not reading the first book has not ruined anything in this book.
This is a bit of an insta-love/insta-chemistry book. Also, age gap. I do not mind either. I actually enjoy reading both. So win win for me!
I absolutely loved Lexie. She was strong career driven woman. She had a little self esteem issue, but I’m not sure I know a woman who doesn’t.
Ryder is a man that she is shooting for and advertisement. Obviously, he’s perfect looking and Lexie notices. Only Lexie doesn’t realize he’s noticing her too.
The chemistry in this book is off the charts!
The two aren’t at a relationship point in their lives so they bump into each other by coincidence. Their chemistry continues and so does their relationship. What you can call a relationship that is long distance in more ways than one. They build a great relationship via calls and texts. They both want it to turn into something, until one day things are twisted and hearts are broken. The story has a bit of suspense woven in so there’s never a dull moment!
I have to say Ryder is wise beyond his years! I dug that he wasn’t a jerk even with his fame.
This whole story was great from beginning to end.
I look forward to reading more of Harlow Layne!
4.5 steamy stars.
Lexie and Ryder — oh my goshhhh.
“Each touch, each caress was like a sip of elixir that I never knew I needed. She was the balm to my lonely soul, and I never wanted to be apart from her.”
The Model is the second book in a series, the first being Intern; however, it can be read as a stand alone. I did not read the first book yet and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The Model is about a younger man/older woman, client/boss relationship that started after a photo shoot took place in Lexie’s studio. The relationship that brewed between Ryder and Lexie was absolutely amazing. The age gap between the two was spot on and written to perfection. The writer also tied a bit of suspense into the story line and it was a perfect combo. Lexie’s mysterious ex-boyfriend brought out the protective side of Ryder that just caused me to fall more in love with this “perfect man.”
I have read numerous books by Harlow Layne and she never ceases to amaze me with her amazing writing and talent. This is a must read.
Thank you to Harlow Layne for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.
The Model (Love is Blind Book 2) by Harlow Layne was my most anticipated read of 2020! I had the highest of expectations and even higher hopes before reading this book. All I can say is Harlow smashed all my hopes out of the park and exceeded all my expectations. I got hooked from Chapter 1, yes the very first chapter! This book is so damn sexy and Harlow doesn’t withhold any of that from you. She gives you all the goods right from chapter one. Don’t be fooled, the sexiness doesn’t stop there! She continues to deliver the steam, romance, and swooning all the way through the epilogue!
The Model is about a cute, spunky, 30-something photographer from The Golden State and a young but very wise, sinfully good-looking Model trying to make a name for himself in a hard but worthy career. Lexie has lived and learned. She is quirky, smart, fiercely independent and more beautiful than she can see with her own two eyes. Ryder is sexier than any man alive and he’s beginning his modeling career to help his family when he becomes the model for one of Lexie’s shoots. His eyes see all of Lexie’s beauty that she can’t see. Their chemistry is palpable and their attraction undeniable. The story that follows is emotional, provocative, and intense. This rollercoaster ride of ups and downs will have your emotions all over the place, but you will feel fueled to keep reading every minute of this ride. Saying that I love this book doesn’t seem like enough.
I never give away spoilers in my reviews, so you will have to read it to find out all the turns this story takes. Harlow mixes the right amount of love, sex, and suspense. The Model is an epic older woman/ younger man, insta-love whirlwind and it deserves more than just an, “I loved it!”. I didn’t just love this story, I fell hard in love with it.
I haven’t read the first book in this series but it is not necessary as each one is a standalone.
An older woman younger man story done really well. Lexie as a character delighted me because she is successful and so comfortable in her own skin and happy to say what she wants. Ryder is an upcoming model, I liked how he was written as down to earth humble and not at all pretentious. As a couple they were perfect and complemented each other well. They had insane chemistry with a passion that came through the pages. There is an element of suspense that adds another element to the story. An enjoyable well written romantic book.
This was a refreshing romance. I love age gap/older heroine. I loved that Ryder was a sexy AND a nice guy.
Lexie is successful and struggles a bit with her self esteem. As a photographer she is surrounded by models so it’s understandable.
Her assistant/friend is a great secondary character.
There is a bit of nail biting drama from an ex.
We get to travel the world with these characters. And they have some serious chemistry and hot times to add heat to this sweet and sexy romance!

This is my first Harlow Layne book and I found it enjoyable and entertaining. I look forward to reading more of her books.
I truly loved the premise of the storyline. I love a reverse age gap, it’s always nice to see an older woman with a younger man at times. I also loved that it was an office romance with a hint of the forbidden. What took me by surprise was the suspenseful aspect of the storyline, I wasn’t expecting that at all. I will say it is what kept me turning the pages. I wanted to see how things turned out.
I liked Harlow’s writing style and how this story played out. My only real complaint was I thought it was a little long winded. There were parts I felt could’ve been left out to move the story along a little quicker. I thought some spots kind of dragged a little too much for my liking. Plus I never thought I would say this, but I thought there was a little too much sex in this story for my liking. By the end I was over their sexy times. But that is only my opinion.
In this story we follow the story of Lexie and Ryder. Lexie is a well known fashion photographer who has just come out of a bad relationship. Ryder is a 21 year old up and coming male model. Lexie and Ryder are instantly taken by each other when Ryder shows up to his shoot that Lexie is shooting. After that first meeting, that was extremely HOT!!, they take us on a journey of the ups and downs of what it’s like to date long distance.
These two have quite a few obstacles that they have to overcome. I will say this was fairly predictable but there were aspects of the story that took me by surprise.
This story is a complete standalone novel and is told in Dual POV. This is the second book in a series, but you DON’T have to read the first book before enjoying this story. I believe this series can be read in any order.
If you are a fan of a reverse age gap romance, then I would recommend this story. I think many will enjoy this story.
