Purple Orchids Review: In my opinion Purple Orchids is pretty predictable college love story, I was okay with that. I was pretty close to what would happen. In my opinion Purple Orchids is very slow moving and very repetitive that got a little annoying. Both Baylor and Gavin have insecurities that got to be to much. They never trusted each other that was really sad. When things went awry they were more than happy to believe the worst. I was entertained but things were too drawn out.
White Lilies Review: I liked White Lilies better than Purple Orchids. I found Erin very manipulative I understand why she did it, but that doesn’t make it right. I’m not sure that Griffin and Skylar were a good match, but who am I? I appreciated Skylar’s willing to know things were not working for her and wanting to make a change. I found Griffin a little judgment. White Lilies did bring tears to my eyes. I found it very slow moving and very drawn out.
I read this box set on Kindle Unlimited.
Black Roses Review: I had this figured out pretty early, I was okay with that. Black Roses brought me to tears a lot. The subject is sad. I found Piper strong, yet scared of everything. I liked how Piper and Charlie have each others back. I was little sad Piper didn’t trust her sisters enough to tell them. I liked Mason’s love for Hailey, he was so sweet. My biggest complaint is Samantha Christy drags things out. She keeps going over the same thing over and over. I found the epilogue the best part.
I was entertained but things were very drawn out and slow moving. Some of the stories brought tears to my eyes, but I had most of the stories figured out from the start. In my opinion the best part of the stories was the epilogues.
I loved this series. I like when books and characters go on for a while. and I really loved the second book the most. (Tear jerker ) i went on to read the brothers series by her as well because the characters blend with the sisters.
These are three interconnected standalone novels about three amazing woman that also happen to be sister-the Mitchell sisters. Each one has their own set of problems and ways to overcome the hardships life throws at you. I started with the series the follows this and had to go back and find out about the women that played crucial roles in the lives of so many others.
The first, Purple Orchids, was a beautiful second chance/secret baby romance. The novel is fulled with twists and turns and you never knew what the main characters were going to do next. While, they experiences years of turmoil away from each other the love they shared bled through the words and would resonate with any romance lover.
The second, White Lilies, is hands down the biggest tear-jerker of the bunch. I think I may have cried through the entire middle and end of this book. The main character- the middle Mitchell sister- Skylar is a fun loving sex positive woman. Though, with her sister- Baylor from Purple Orchids- turning into supermom she’s starting to rethink her morals. This leads her to do the single most selfless act she can think of. Although, that comes with it’s own challenges as well and she finds herself in the most welcoming/scariest love triangle I’ve ever read.
The last, Black Roses, is a pure redemption story. Piper, the youngest Mitchell sister, is finally back on US soil to help plan her sisters wedding. Though, with each day she spends in the country the closer she comes to falling apart. Her demons come out to play and even with a hulking NFL quarterback trying to woo her into staying, no one can fight her demons but her.
I highly recommend these three books, just be sure you have a box of tissues ready. I couldn’t put them down and finished all three in less than a week!
I loved these books. I started the first one and could not put it down, except to get tissues to wipe tears and my nose. Had to get the other 2 and more tissues. My family thought I was crazy from all the tears, but they were such GREAT READS! My niece is on the first one and is doing the same thing. DON’T MISS THESE, MUST READ BOOKS.
Each sister’s story is unique. You’ll want to read all three.
