When a supermodel with a string of bad news boyfriends “wins” a volunteer firefighter at a charity bachelor auction, Rose and Ryan might both discover they’ve found their perfect Christmas match.A fun and romantic holiday tale set in the fictional town of Green Pines, Illinois.
I enjoyed this clean short romance. I finished this in one evening and I voluntarily chose to review this story. It was sweet and sad at points. I’ve given it a 4.5* rating. The heroine had some big choices to make, and although it had a quick ending, it didn’t feel finished. This is possibly because it’s BK 6 of the Green Pines Romance set. I did like that both hero and heroine wanted to work toward making their world a better place.
I loved the book. Welcome back to Green Pines. For those of us who have visited there before this is a great edition to the series. I loved Rose and Ryan two young people who are so different but yet searching for the same thing. You will love this book of Christmas love and magic. Enjoy their love story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
What a simply delightful read! This is book that one can enjoy at lunch or for that quick get-away. Rose and Ryan are perfect for each other. I loved the dual format POV. It really helped me to understand Rose a little better. (I have never been a hounded super-model!) Ryan on the other hand was a perfect male protagonist. I would simply fall for him myself.
The only bad thing about this book was the length. I am not discounting novellas but when you have such a wonderful story such as this, you just want to keep reading, you don’t want the story to end. That is a great sign of an author’s work. Highly recommend this sweet read.
This book is book 6 and it was fun catching up with characters from other books. It was defiantly a quick read. I loved the fun characters in the book I felt like I was catching up with friends. I really love Dani she is so sweet and truly cares about her family. I really loved how this book was a good clean read and how it draws you in from the beginning. This book is perfect for anyone looking for a fun, quick, clean read. You really won’t be disappointed.
Rose Silver was a famous model who hated being in the limelight. She had gone to Green Pines to escape from the media spotlight. While there, her sister Dani, famous in her own right, bought a date with a bachelor for Rose. The date was a local volunteer firefighter/electrician named Ryan Gordon. He was handsome and had been set up by his best friend for this auction. This is not normally something he would ever consider doing. But, it was for a good cause so he went along. The crazy thing was that the winning bid was $6000. Who in the world flashed around that kind of money? He didn’t expect to feel anything other than disgust but he soon learned that Rose was not only beautiful but a wonderful person, as well. Was it even possible for these people from two different worlds to have anything in common or would be a one-and-done thing?
This was a sweet novella that was a quick read. I finished in in just a couple of hours and enjoyed the happy ending. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my review.
The Mistletoe Bachelor Auction by Milou Koenings
Have read other works by this author and was excited for the invite to read this one.
Starts out with Rose, a model and she’s in hiding and among her sister and friends. She’s hiding because of the media that is hounding her.
Story also follows a fireman, Ryan and his friends set him up to be in the bachelor auction and Rose is to be a date for one of them.
We learn how Rose’s brother is in charge and he wants to remake her business-set her up a perfume and makeup type business that will give his main company money in the long run.
Love that he doesn’t know a thing about her and she tells him she’s there to meet with a medical team to help with makeup on victims of terrible accidents or those with cancer.
She is donating her time to reading to children at library during the week before Christmas. Love hearing of the events of the town, Pine Grove.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this story from start to finish (and was even sad to have it end!). These two characters live very different lives, yet are looking for more out of life. I loved seeing them discover that they were meant to be together, despite their differences. Their story built so sweetly! They have to overcome some things that could stand between them, and decide what is truly important in their lives. Wonderful romantic novella.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
