Logan is great! He did annoy me at some parts but what man doesn’t, ha! His stubbornness and determination with Grace was perfect. It is what drew me in to like him so much.
Grace is perfect for Logan. I loved her blabbering! She made him work for it and it was amazing!
Their banter was great along with their connection. Great story!

Review:
This is the 28th book me and my friend read together. After we read book one we decided that we where going to read all the books in the series (over time).
I really liked this book. I liked Logan, he had some douchy moments but he was a good guy deep down. He is willing to let himself be miserable to help out his brother.
I liked grace, she was a sweet and caring beautiful girl. When she met Logan she was immediately taken by him, he was hot but also very charming and funny. They hit it off. But do to a misunderstanding they got in a fight. Grace leaves for the summer to spend time with her mother in Paris. Determined to get Logan of her mind and get back for the new year a new and stronger person.
When Logan sees Grace again he is trying to make up for what happend but Grace hardly gives him the time of day. Logan doesn’t give up easily though. He is determined to win her back somehow.
Overall I enjoyed this book. Yes there was some drama that could have been resolved easily but that was oke. It would have been a boring book if there wasn’t any conflict at all.
Rating:
4 I really liked it Stars
After reading The Deal, I didn’t think there were any other characters I would like more. I was wrong, Logan and Grace. I loved them. It wasn’t your usual college sports romance, and there was a lot of depth and a lot of Groveling.
Logan, the player of all players, has met his match in Grace. She doesn’t even like hockey, could care less if he’s some amazing sports star. Logan had been pining away for Hannah. But the real reason, probably not a shocker but made my heart swell a little. Kennedy has such a way of writing, and I just wanted to experience, everything they experienced with them. Like I was part of some secret club. Usually, with books like these, you get who these characters are at the surface, never really genuinely knowing what’s within their hearts. I think that’s why I loved this one so much.
There are layers upon layers between these two. I loved how they got to know each other. But honestly, this was no mistake. They are meant for each other.
Overall, Five Boundless Stars.

Great as always from this author
The storyline is good, the characters are well written and there’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings, what’s not to like.
Logan puts a lot on his own shoulders and can’t see that he don’t have to. Grace is a breath of fresh air for him.
This is a story about growing up to be a responsible person without loosing yourself. It’s a passionate story that keeps me engaged all the way through.
Narrator do a good job, clear pronunciation and read with feelings I would however point out that she had a annoying habit of dragging out words at times. In the beginning it didn’t matter but after a while it really got on my nerves and I was gritting my teeth
Good story, narrator not so much
I love this series so freaking much ,sports romance really is my jam 🙂
Omg i am swooning hard for John Logan 🙂 could he be anymore awesome,he’s hot, smart and funny and i loved his 2nd meeting with Grace (he doesn’t remember the 1st meeting) and they end up watching movies and then making out ,it was such a great scene 🙂 i totally get why he thought he has feelings for his best friends girl ,but it was the relationship between them that he wanted not Hannah and once that’s clear to him he knows that Grace is different from any girl he’s been with but since he kinda screwed it up now Grace is making him do crazy things to win her back 🙂 i think my fav off the list was totally the picture he sent her on him on the red velvet sofa 🙂 it was so funny! i feel so bad for John and his home life ,the fact that he was gonna give up his dreams of playing in the NHL to take care of his dad who won’t take care of himself is kinda heartbreaking but also so freaking endearing too .he is such a great guy and i loved that he was able to find someone as awesome as Grace and fall in love 🙂
I loved Grace ,there were a few times where i didn’t get why she let her friend walk all over her but once she decides to stop letting other people take over was great, she stood up for herself and i loved that ,i love that when she’s nervous she talks alot ,its so funny and the way she somehow always brings up Ted Bundy (laughing my ass off every time) i so adored her and John ,their relationship is so awesome ,i love the banter between them and how much they actually love each other ,i think it was awesome that she gave John a 2nd chance because it was one of the best things to happen to them both 🙂
I love this series and the characters 🙂 Hockey is my favorite sport and i love romance and when you combine the 2 it’s a freaking match made in heaven 🙂
I loved this book. And the entire series. Ms. Kennedy is one of my go to authors
I thought Logan was adorable and the way he kind of fell for Grace and they started with watching movies I thought it was adorable and cute. I loved the wooing that Logan was doing and the banter both him and Grace have with each other. I loved the fact Logan wouldn’t let people think she was lying about Logan and her, and my heart melted when he turned up and defended her. I think that was one of my favourite parts in the books!
I also loved that Logan and Hannah finally talked, and although some think it is cliche that he didn’t want Hannah and just the relationship, I didn’t think so and I loved it so much. I think we’ve all been in a position where we’ve envied somebody’s relationship.
Also one of my favourite things is the fact that their family is still very much a present part in the novel both Grace and Logan’s family were in their lives and they were in the novels.
I loved Logan’s friends as always, Tucker, Dean and Garret I love their friendship and that in the end they all their for each other. I also loved Grace’s friend Daisy and Morris like they were all the proper true friends!
Romana was actually a disgusting friend the way she just straight tried to jump on Logan after he and Grace had broken up. I was like ain’t no loyalty there she was a terrible friend.
The story made me laugh, smile and it was cute!
This was the first book of the series that I read and I got the whole series to keep up with the characters. I like that neither one is perfect but the opposites attract. I laughed out loud when he pretends to skype with her mom. I’m not a young adult but I do love romance and this book made an impression on me
I can honestly say that I am not much of Hockey Fan, but You do not have to like hockey to enjoy these books.
The books are funny and sarcastic and hot and deep with some hockey thrown in. This book brought in guilt, family loyalty and selflessness. I was interested to see how Logan’s character would be handled since I’m not a huge fan of characters who are in love with their best friend’s girlfriend or boyfriend. However, the explanationfor Logan’s feelings throughout the book made it all work. I loved Grace’s character and how she didn’t let Logan off easily when he screwed up. At one point she makes him complete a list of tasks before she will agree to go out with him and it was hilarious. I loved the little bits of humor sprinkled throughout the book and as usual the relationship between Logan and the rest of the guys in the house was great. This was a great addition to the off-campus series!! I loved Logan in book one and I’m glad he got his own book!
The Mistake was a 5 stars for me! Even though I did enjoy book 1, (The Deal), I ended up loving The Mistake even more! I just clicked with Logan and Grace and loved their story! Starting book 3 now! Such an addictive series!!
A great follow up to The Deal. Whereas The Deal was beyond amazing The Mistake was great and I enjoyed it. But not as much as The Deal.
Another hit story in this series. Really loved Grace and Logan together. A HOT sweet romance! Couldn’t put it down, just like the first one. Can’t wait to read more from this series.
Oh John/Johnny/Logan, you’re so amazing. Let’s cuddle!
I loved The Deal and I loved The Mistake. Couldn’t put this one down either. I thought Grace was a fantastic character, there’s no drama or angst going on with her. I really liked how she really didn’t give in to John, girl made him work for it!
Now J/J/L, he has got some crap going on with his father. It broke my heart reading everything going on with his family. He knew what he wanted but had a messed up way of going about it, so happy how everything turned out! I truly enjoy all the characters in her books, they’re so fun to read. Seriously, I can’t recommend this series enough.
Super stoked that Dean is next. Bring on the manwhore!
When I first read The Deal, the first book of the Off-Campus series, I loved it immediately with all my heart. Now that I read the second one, I can undoubtedly say that this series has me totally addicted.
Also, I already knew that the athletic male book characters are hot-as-hell. But, seriously, the hockey players of this series take Hotness to a whole new level.
This time, Kennedy tells the amazing story of Logan and Grace.
As we already know, Logan is Garrett’s best friend, teammate and one of his housemates. We didn’t learn from Garrett much about him in the previous book, but now it’s his turn to introduce himself to us. And, personally, what I learned about him left me UTTERLY breathless and….. MADLY in love with him. And seriously, who wouldn’t?
As for his girl, Grace, she is a freshman and a girl whose confidence levels are quite low. She is nothing like the other girl of her age and she’s pretty shy. But soon all of these are about to change……
When I read how these two met, the first thing that popped into my mind was the phrase “Everything happens for a reason” and judging from how this story ends, I bet Fate – or i should better say Elle Kennedy?- knew very well what game she was playing with these two.
At the same time, I saw that this story has it, literally, all. Love, hate, heart-break, happiness, joy, hilarious situations, awkward situations, difficult decisions, sacrifice etc. Every single page of the book is a different world of emotions but, all them has one thing in common: They leave you stunned and breathless!! And the fact that the story was been told with alternate POVs, it makes it even more WOW and irresistible for me.
As for the characters, I honestly don’t know what to say. They speak for themselves throughout the story and if you don’t meet them by yourself, any word from me will never be enough to describe them fully. Each one of them earned a very special place in my heart and without doubt, I will cherish them for many years to come. But what I have to say is this: Elle Kennedy did her magic again and with her mad writing skills, she created characters and a love story that are captivating and hardly resistable!!
Don’t miss this story and in general, all the books -independently that only two are out so far- of this series because they really worth it!
The characters had a great natural humor, and depth of character. I liked that all the hockey players didn’t take their masculinity too seriously.
This was also really well-plotted, and while I enjoyed all the fun…the moments of depth were well-handled too.
Side note: can we start calling men’s tank undershirts *not* a “wife beater” because seriously. Would John Logan say, “excuse me, gorgeous, got to pull on my wife beater, then I can dress for our date”?
When I started this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Because at the end of book one (‘The deal’ that I really enjoyed!) it was obvious that Logan was in love with Hannah (his best friend’s girlfriend). So I was very curious how this story would go. If the writer could convince me of this ‘new’ romance. And I must say that the writer Elle Kennedy did a wonderful job, because I liked ‘The mistake’ just as much as the first book ‘The deal’!
Although Logan is a real man whore (just like all of his friends). I was really happy that once he found HIS girl he stayed faithful to her. And I really loved the things that he had to do to win her back and the way he did it. He did it in his own way and I totally loved it.
Just like Garrett (in book one) Logan had a soft side to him. A vulnerable side that I really adored.
Grace and Logan were just perfect for each other. I really liked Grace. She was funny, intelligent and a loyal friend, although she was a little bit younger and a bit naïve, she didn’t let Logan walk over her. The sex scenes were hot. The storyline was fluent, there was a little bit of everything in it. Then you have the action between the guys, the batter, the jokes and the friendship. This ‘Off-Campus’ series has just the perfect mix for me, it’s light but not too light and there is a little bit of ‘drama’ but nothing heavy. The story is told from both POV’s and although you can read this story without reading the first book, I would recommend that you read ‘The deal’ first, just because it’s a good story too.
If you’re a fan of Kristen Callihan’s books then I would suggest that you try this series too.
My FAVORITE of the series and just my favorite book of all time. This book sparked my love affair with NA hockey romances! Swoon!
Makes you happy.
