MY REVIEW
The Missing Children is book one in the DI Kayli Bright series . This well written story has good character development and a twisting, dark plot that – though tragic touches on child trafficking , missing and murdered children . This book is definitely dark and twisted and not for the faint of heart. While graphic it is not overly graphic . The very first chapter starts off with BANG with two teenagers finding a childs body that had been brutally murdered in an abandon house . From there several more children are kidnapped . The story does not slow down until the very last word. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I had to know just what happened to this child and why. All while holding my breath hoping all of the girls would be found alive. I was so glued to the pages that i tuned out the world and read it in just a few hours. MA Comley is definitely a terrific author. This had to be a very difficult subject to write about and will be hard for some to read about . Sadly this is something that happens everyday in this messed up world we live in. I am looking forward to reading more of her books. Right now this book is free on kindle with the rest of the series on kindle unlimited. Does DI Kayli Bright find all of the missing girls before they all are sold or murdered ? Find out by grabbing your copy of this gripping thriller today.

First, I have to point out that the story takes place in England. Many words or phrases are not familiar to the American reader. Some I beleive are not part of the verbage of England?
Second, the story is right out of the news. If you like shows like “Blue Bloods” “NCIS” etc. you will enjoy this. Our criminal investigators take over the stalled investigations of several missing children reports after the body of a child is discovered.
The author does their best to show the inner workings of the investigation. The story also shows you the personal life of the investigator and the criminals. When the perps are caught, revealing the “master mind” it is rather chilling.
Language alert and several references to sexual activity.
I really enjoy this author!
This book kept me interested. Funny how the criminals couldn’t lay low for a while.
Loved the tenacity and caring of the detectives.
Great read
I enjoyed reading this book.
Fast paced and interesting
This book is intense and heartbreaking due to the fact that the case the police are trying to solve involves child trafficking and pedophiles. The story contains some graphic details so for the faint of heart, you may want to pass on reading this book. I recommend this book for readers who like a mystery that keeps you guessing until the shocking end. The main suspect surprised me.

Am being generous in giving this book two stars, only because this is a subject that is important regarding child abuse. Have no idea how this book could EVER have garnered a higher rating by anyone who enjoys reading. The dialog is very disjointed, not representative of emotion to accompany particular situations, very redundant and extremely boring. The characters are poor models of the field they represent, devoid professionalism/ In short, the story idea could have been handled so much better in the hands of a good writer, but turned out to be absolutely ridiculous.
Good plot, unnatural dialog and very poor police procedural.
It was a quick read. Really kept me entertained. The characters were developed well.
I couldn’t put it down, but was disappointed in the ending. It seemed like it just quit.
Entertaining but simplistic.
This was a highly entertaining novel. It touched my heart in so many ways!! 5 Stars for Mel Comley!!
I am waiting for the next book. The author does her research for sure.
There was too many holes in the plot and I found the writing kind of unbelievalbe. Which I found weird as I have other books by this author and have really liked, but this book was not well written at all.
Wonderful
