Entertaining cozy mysteries. Miss Silver always solves them cleverly.
I enjoyed this series of mysteries. Thought they were clever, and I like the main character.
All Wentworth books are cleverly written and a great “who done it”. I love to try to figure out the guilty party before the end of the book.
Miss Silver really doesn’t show up Very often in person In the series. Looking like a retired governess, able to fade gently into the background while gathering information, knitting endless baby jackets, Miss Silver conceals her incisive mind and sharp wit. Her deductions are brilliant, and she always saves the day. The Miss Silver books are rather old fashioned, set in the 20s, 30s, and 40,s but the quality of the mysteries is timeless. I have recommended Miss Silver mysteries to numerous friends.
Miss Silver never disapoints. These mysteries are engaging and entertaining. These are classics, without anything one might find objectionable.
Miss Siler is timeless qhile introducing rhe reader ro a by gone era.
More Miss Silver please! I love her.
Loved it. Miss Dilver reminded me of my English Nanny and Great Aunts!
An golden oldie
This series is one of my favorites. The plots are intriguing and the characters interesting. The respect for an older woman is refreshing and appreciated. Not a cozy or romance. British whodunits you can be friends with.
Miss Silver mysteries are exactly the type of cozy mysteries I live! Much like Agatha Christie!
I always enjoy Miss Silver’s mysteries. The characters are real, and not always so wonderful. A different time and place.
If you liked Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple, you will like Patricia Wentworth’s Miss Silver.
Very entertaining and different.
The Miss Silver Books are classic British Mysteries.
